  1. Well put, and another thing I don't understand why they removed was the ability to have a chance to get a single piece of gear after each daily. Before patch 1.2 not only could you grind your way to gear, but each daily gave the player a hope to earn a piece of gear that night... that not only helped the player with "hope" to not have to endure all of the long grind, but also game the players random rewards instead of a straight grind fest.
  2. I'm not sure you understand how polling and samples work. No big deal, not everyone took statistics in college, but your analogy and idealism is flawed by inaccurate knowledge on how polls and samples work.
  3. Great post, but this this this this this.... hit the nail on the head here.
  4. I understand what you are saying... but what you are saying is "exactly why we have polls".
  5. So get this... Every single class has an off hand that uses an armoring piece that is not "slot specific". Meaning you can pimp out your Mod-able belts and wrists pieces with way more expertise than that of the equivalent War Hero piece. This also allows people to keep their Raid Set Bonuses and still have War Hero armoring in them, if you put the actually slot piece of War Hero armoring, it changes the Raid armor to the War Hero set bonus. Oh wait... every single class can do this... but one... any guesses on which one gets screwed out of this ability? Smugglers/Imperial Agents
  6. I'm also surprised that force scream hasn't been fixed yet...
  7. I don't know about the pre-order stuff, but from December to January swtor broke the mmo record for most subscribing players in one month. The record broken I am referring to was a "growth" record, specifically a growth record, an after launch sales growth. If it had record pre-orders, I wouldn't be surprised, but that's not what I was referring to. I love zero punctuation. Yes, my opinion is in there... but your "however most players didn't enjoy pvp" statement has no backing, my opinion has backing. SWTOR pvp blew up, it was out of control, BioWare stated several times that their focus wasn't on PvP but due to massive response of the player base, PvP was the number 1 event players were participating it. The number 1. So, be it my opinion, and the opinion of others... MOST players DID enjoy pvp. Then when 1.2 went live on the PTS, the "overall" feedback was PvP was broken, the new purchase system was broken, and Maurs were broken. One week of PTS and patch 1.2 went live despite the complaints. My opinion is my opinion, however my opinion is on the majority side, not the minority. That's why we have polls.
  8. Hmm, people keep asking "why keep playing..." I for one stated that already in my original post, do people read the post then instantly forget what they read!? As stated by myself and few other posters, we keep playing because we know what this game "can be", and we hope and pray for that return. Some of us want to see the game succeed, and the gem it once was... well we want it back. The other thing I'm seeing a lot of is "you don't speak for a million people". Actually we do. Back before 1.2 hit, I must have read 30 or 40 different polls, and been a part of several myself... all the polls were same, all of them. End game swtor sucked, PvP was amazing, raids were to easy, not enough end game, class balance needed tweaking but was the one of the best for a mmo launch. Then 1.2 hit, the polls went back up, and people hated James Olhen, people hated the new direction of PvP, things that needed to be fixed were not, focus was made into areas that made little since to the players... those were the complaints being mentioned. I even held a poll of my own, an Expertise poll, needed or not needed... the "neededs" thought they won the poll because their number was just shy of 60% of the votes... what they failed to realize was that meant over 40%, FORTY PERCENT thought BW was screwing it up. The winner of a poll isn't the only thing to look at, it's how close they won... when something is so close that the player base is almost split down the middle, something's wrong. And just from my observation, the majority of people that voted for it, voted for it because it's all they know in mmo's. So, when a game goes from a record breaking mmo subscribing player base, to less than a million current subs... and those people that bailed go take part in polls as to why they stopped playing... yes, yes one or two people can clearly contest to the views of hundreds of thousands of players by merely reciting the results of several polls.
  9. lol, thanks. Not sure they'd like me, my Drill Sargent mode might not be suitable for a bunch of programmers...
  10. Actually the underlined part is the problem, you are reading between lines that are not there, creating your own issue to something that didn't contain that issue. It's a problem many have, and it's not really fixable because you don't and won't see that you're doing it. It's common among people that refuse to see points of views that differ from their own.
  11. Thank you. Without trying to be overly opinionated that "only this one idea will work", I think it is the best idea being that it was something this game had at launch and we got to see it in action, it would appear as if people liked it prior to it being changed in patch 1.2
