  1. At least half of the time, I get stuck in warzones with 3-4 healers, and everyone's numbers are pretty low. I was definitely hitting higher numbers far more regularly than I am now. A big part of the reason is that there's been a huge influx of even worse PVPers than usual. I know that sounds impossible, but it's true.
  2. I love witnessing US's total impotence when the only premades I typically see pop up in APAC's prime time, and you guys have the temerity to act nonchalant here. Nice. No wonder Imp morale is super high right now.
  3. Any DPS that complains about killing healers 1) is a bad DPS and/or 2) refuses to focus with other DPS.
  4. Happens every expansion. People try it out, and some leave.
  5. Yes, mousing over a player's health and clicking the same button over and over takes skill, a hell of a lot more than actually thinking about what skill to use under what conditions on the run while being focused. Sure, you can make macros "more efficient," but where's the skill in it? I mean, people using aimbots in CS:Source still have to move around, but they'll just shoot everyone as efficiently as possible.
  6. Hmmmm, from what I've read in that thread, it looks like a lot of east coast guilds are going to Pot5, and west coast guilds are going to the Bastion. Somehow, I'm thinking most players won't make the switch. It's real money, and they'd be leaving their communities behind that they've known for a year and a half. Rateds won't really become a huge part of the game until Bioware makes them cross server. Honestly, if Bioware implements server transfers without cross server queues, they'll basically kill off PVP on select servers (if you want to call our server healthy atm) and force people to move to one of two servers for PVP.
  7. Krack, if you take away our insta-salvation proc, we'll probably cap out at like 1300 hps and STILL be the squishiest healers in the game. Two (good) combat sentinels can burn me down pretty quickly since every other skill is a root or a slow. I know you're jealous, but trust me, every sage healer out there is mad jelly of commandos and scoundrels for their survivability right now (and by right now I mean since launch).
  8. It's incredibly rare for everyone to get in the long matches. I've been in a total of two since 2.0 hit. Besides simply asking folks to parse their DPS on training dummies, there's really no way to empirically test a player's skill, and a DPS parse is a poor test at that. I think most of the people with high DPS/HPS/protection records are pretty good, and it doesn't really serve any purpose to say otherwise. Total damage/healing is a product of circumstance, but you're still not going to get good numbers unless you're a decent player yourself. Biggest hit/heal is pretty pointless as long as people stack partisan/conq relics (which I'm pretty sure Bioware's going to fix sooner rather than later) and screw around with augments/bolster (prior to 2.1). You might as well just remove those categories since I haven't heard one good argument in favor of them, but I've heard numerous ones why they're pointless.
  9. If there are bad players on the list, more of the good players should post and get them off of here.
  10. Instead of paying 60 to 300 cartel coins to unlock items in the Collections tab, let me pay 5,000 to 10,000 and unlock all of my items on every character in my legacy forever.
  11. As long as people keep buying, Bioware will keep on selling crap in cartel packs.
  12. So I've been looking over the Collections tab in my inventory, and I have to admit that I'm both excited and disappointed by this new feature. Basically, I'm excited because I see the potential for a great tool to help me customize my characters. Unfortunately, it costs far too much to properly utilize it. With hundreds of individual items (so far) to unlock, I'm guessing that it would cost hundreds of dollars to unlock all of my cool items that I already own. Because of its real money cost, I will probably use the Collections feature sparingly at most. Obviously, Bioware wants to make money. I'd love to give them my money for a good feature, but the Collections feature just isn't worth it right now. Therefore, I'd like to propose that Bioware implement a legacy unlock for Collections items for around 5,000 to 10,000 cartel coins. You could also make a character perk unlock that costs 1,000 to 3,000 cartel coins. Those are the prices I'd deem fair for this feature. The legacy unlock / character perk would unlock all Collections items that you already possess for your entire legacy or a specific character. I'm guessing that many players would use it that way instead of paying $2 to $3 here and there. As it currently stands, I feel like I have to pay for cartel items twice - once to pick them up the first time, and once more to unlock them in the Collections tab.
  13. That was a beautiful Civil War for those 3 million heals. Absolutely perfect conditions. Other team only had 2 dps, and their 4 healers ensured a stalemate. Pubs only had a single healer, so heals didn't have to be shared. Wish I could've seen that one.
  14. Not sure I understand you quite right, but if you limit it to ranked warzones, won't you just make the thread an echo chamber for 3-4 PVP guilds?
  15. Holy wall o' text. I think you're mostly right. I know that I wouldn't have gotten my records without the stars aligning, and I've been out-healed in games before because I sit on one particular side of Voidstar or whatever. So yeah, these numbers aren't set-in-stone evidence of player skill. With that said, it's still pretty cool to say, "I did x HPS in this warzone," and it's a chance for some of us not in the biggest PVP guilds to highlight our own achievements. Gotta admit that it's kind of disheartening that some of you are proposing to start over from scratch even though most of these records (and all of mine) are 100% legitimate.
