  1. Bumping until we get some response. Still waiting for a response for my CS ticket. 4 days and counting. We know that you may not fix this immediately, but some response would be nice.
  2. BTW, I completed it during 4.5, not before. So, no, the fix did not resolve the problem for me. As I said above, Trooper story. Also, I have a ticket submitted. Still waiting on a response. Been waiting for days now.
  3. Just finished Trooper questline. No heroic ability. No legendary status unlock (was the last one I needed too!). Stuck at 7/8. Opened a ticket... we'll see.
  4. I have cancelled my sub. I will be calling EA for a refund tomorrow. I have also, for what good it does, lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, requesting the BW end their blatant false advertizing. You can too. Here's the link: http://www.bbb.org/edmonton/business-reviews/computers-system-designers-and-consultants/bioware-in-edmonton-ab-111723
  5. Take that, nay-sayers! Faxion ftw! http://www.mmocrunch.com/wp-content/gallery/faxion-online-first-images/faxion_ascedia_peaks.jpg Oh...
  6. Just cancelled my sub; see above post. Reiterating the following, just in case BW is reading this: TO BIOWARE: There are so many reasons to love and play your game. I want it to be great. Most everyone posting in this thread wants the game to succeed. People don't make 1,000 post threads about a product unless they are invested in making it work. Here's the reality check; for most of us, YOUR PRODUCT IS NOT WORKING. You can regain my subscription by agreeing that these shoddy graphics are not working as intended, putting at ease our fears about you simply renaming medium to high; telling us why it isn't fixed; then getting to work fixing it. Many of us came from WoW (perhaps hopping on Aion or Rift in the interim) looking for a big-time MMO similar to that huge WoW experience, but with a new flair and better graphics. I quit WoW because of horrid, player-model graphics. Please, Bioware, don't let SWTOR become the next Warhammer, the horrible-looking MMO that could have been great. Biggerthanthesun P.S. Check out some screens from WAR. The texture quality looks surprisingly similar to your own gimped textures. That game was released over 3 years ago, and it looked as bad then as it does now.
  7. I am glad I found this thread. I am an unsatisfied customer. I would have immediately noticed these horrid textures had the screenshots for the game been honest ones. I am not quitting the game, yet; however, I am unsubscribing. I refuse to be another addition to the growing number of active subscribers (i.e. supposed satisfied customers) that can be used as a tool to draw more people in to this game. If BW can fix this before my sub runs out, then I will resub. This is truly an absurd and unprofessional situation: 1. Bait and switch with the advertizing media. 2. Lack of options in a AAA product. (I believe JK and JKII had more graphics options.) 3. High res textures missing. (This sounds as absurd in a finished, modern title as leaving out water because it screws with the client. Okay, I will pretend the game looks suitable, and how about you pay to play my game pretend you are swimming as you make a breaststroke though the air.) 4. On the ptr, they are simply renaming med textures to high and calling it fixed. (Newspeak much? Orwell is enjoying this one. This indicates to me that the situation is not fixable in the immediate future.) 5. This is the main reason I refuse to endorse BW with my sub: over a thousand posts and still no serious reply addressing our concern. TO BIOWARE: There are so many reasons to love and play your game. 8. How dare you call me a baby? Babies lack the command of grammar and punctuation that I demonstrate. Yeah, I know they addressed the issue. However, there is a difference between a Bioware CS monkey dropping a line in a thread or a dev simply stating it is a bug in one line posted somewhere... and putting it up in the Known In-Game Issues thread. Unless it is put up there, I don't care much what any single, "official" individual states. Unless it is in the known issues thread, afaik, they are not working on it. I am a bit pissed that this game was released looking this bad. And yes, this is just my opinion, but it is one shared by many paying customers. If your response is to suck it up and wait or that it isn't a big issue, THEN THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR YOU. Please go away. We do not care that you are willing to settle. We were sold on a product that did not deliver as the marketing promised (screens, videos); we were given expectations that were not met; moreover, we paid more than most AAA products for the letdown. For those who still just don't get it, please allow me to provide an analogy: I drive a Corolla, but I hate how little muscle it has. I see a Corvette for sale. I see the nice, V-8 engine in the pics. I pay for it, and find it under performs. I look under the hood find a tiny 4-cylinder, and now I am pissed. However, when I get upset, tons of Chevy fans shout back that I should be happy, because the car runs well. Friggin-A, my Corolla ran just fine. I paid for the upgraded performance, and, by god, I want what I paid for. The Corvette is SWTOR. The Corolla is WoW/GW/anything else besides Rift, which looks and feels like a modern MMO should (however, story, class-structure, and itemization are horrible).

  10. Alright, now I am upset. Patch 1.0.2 did nothing to fix this issue. Bioware now posts the following in their known issues: "Upon launch, graphics preferences will always display as "Low" even if actual in-game settings are higher due to automatic preference detection. Workaround: Individual preferences will display properly once modified and saved." The above does not seem to help or even refer to the problem we are all experiencing. So, I will reiterate it: There are no high res textures outside of cutscenes. TO BIOWARE: All you have to do is report this issue in your "Known In-Game Issues" thread, and I will stop bumping posts. Until this happens, I can only assume that you are ignoring this issue or simply do not have a handle on what your customers are experiencing. Furthermore, a simple response buried in a thread will not suffice. I need to see that you are seriously addressing this issue. I need to see it listed here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=5533 or in a future known issues thread. A list of threads detailing the high res textures issue can be found here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=91723 Thank you.
