  1. You know, people don't play it BECAUSE it's like throwing a bunch of guys in green leveling gear that just hit max level into a PvP match against a team of dudes in BiS gear. It's about the same difference. If there was an effective matchmaking in place, it would be massively more popular. It's kind of a shame because it's otherwise well designed game - but the odds that you'll be placed against similarly skilled (and similarly upgraded) fighters.... nears zero. Most new people try like 3 matches, gets absolutely DEMOLISHED in each match, and lose any interest they might have had. Whatever. I resigned myself to just grinding req daily to get those upgrades and THEN decide if it's worth playing or not. So far it's really NOT fun when you can hit the enemy 14 times with your guns and BARELY take out shield, yet your fighter breaks into fireworks when it's so much as licked by enemy fire. SO MANY TIMES I've had head to head confrontations where I exploded without taking even 40% of enemy's effective HP down. And yes even with damn PROTONS, if it's not upgraded it won't kill ANYTHING. Scouts can shake off proton lock by literally wiggling slightly without even trying, and anything with more armor than scout can TANK that hit unless you have the proton upgraded nearly all the way so it crits a lot and flies faster. (because even a drunken bantha can shake off a proton that takes 4 effin seconds to lock and another 4 to hit).

I mean seriously, please make a system ranking players (death to kill ratio or something), so that new people can get into starfighter without being absolutely STOMPED by veteran players and their maxed out starfighters. Seriously, it feels like going against Cold War supersonic planes on a biplane in World of Warplanes - you are still a few thousand meters out of range, while the other guy takes you out in 1-2 clicks (while you can tail a guy for 15 sec shooting at them the entire time and you BARELY take down shields till someone else bursts you down in 2 seconds. And my personal favorite - missiles. OFC fully upgraded ones 1shot nearly anyone, basic ones eat only like 40% of shields at best). Just PLEASE add matchmaking to this so veterans can play against veterans and noobs against noobs. I bet the veteran players are really happy having a full team of noobs to blast, but from the other side, it's no fun at all. If there actually IS amatchmaking system already in place.... let's just say it's a VERY bad one and should be changed ASAP, because matching people who have 0 deaths and 20+ kills in every game vs noobs is wrong on many levels.
  3. I am really puzzled by this game's developers.. I've purchased CCs in the past a few times using my card, so I just hit ENABLE and could buy them ingame. COULD. But every time I try I get Error code: 9. So I've made a ticket about it, got an answer after 2 days: Please note that certain criteria must be met in order to use the in-game purchase feature: -You must have previously applied your credit card details onto your account via swtor.com -You must have previously made a purchase for Cartel Coins using the same credit card -You must have selected the "Opt in" option from the Cartel Coins Ledger on your account on swtor.com Despite writing I've done all that in the ticket.. And in addition to that, I can't even log into game anymore, because the stupid "ONE TIME PASSWORD REQUIRED" to log in refuses to arrive.. I don't know why I'm still subbed to a game that has virtually no support and just keeps making me angry..

I was hoping they'll introduce some countermeasures to alt stacking, not just purge inactives.. after spending over 3 hours on character creation yesterday, trying about 250 names , I have a strong feeling that someone has created 1500 free accounts and made placeholders of EVERY friggin name from the whole database from A to Z.. oh well, 4 days to go, I should try to write down a list of names to try after downtime..

The problem is, it doesn't actually work as it always results in ERROR CODE 9 Well, I hope they're going to fix that BEFORE 30th November, or they ain't getting any money. That should be motivation enough for them..

  8. Trying to keep this thread visible (read on first page) alone is proving difficult. Just keep commenting and adding more ideas, I'll add them to the list if they are not really out of place.. I'm updating the list every now and then when I get any ideas, but an edit does not count as a post and noone seems to look more than a page back on forums. Also - why is there an option in EDIT to change the topic's name, if the change is ignored? Oh well..

  11. Hello I guess you all know how many different recipes for moddable gear other crew skills have (mainly Armormech and Synthweaving, Artifice has too little moddables too). BUT it's not that there are no interesting designs already created - it's just a matter of making them moddable, instead of being useless greens (which even in extremely expensive purple variant gets outdated in matter of hours). These are nice designs that would be great as moddables (at least in my opinion): Ion Blaster Assault Shrieker Heavy Sonic Blaster Rampage-X Blaster (same model can be bought for planetary comms, but this one has green paintjob) There is a general lack of good looking blasters (as all cartel markets one look like a tattoo needles, and most craftable ones are restricted to main or offhand - not to mention they are all ugly), people lately use really just the BBA ones (which are really darn expensive).
  12. well as far as I know, every Bounty Hunter has used as many different weapons as he could - anything to give him an advantage. Some used primarily pistols, some rifles, some snipers, few even melee weapons (overly confident..). Just look at this list of IG-88's weapons.. and that's "just" assassin droid doing some bounties in his free time between trying to take over the world: Flamethrower Pulse cannon DAS-430 electromagnetic projectile launcher Repeating blaster Sonic stunner Paralysis cord Poison gas Trilon gas Thermal detonators Needle dart gun Butcher vibroblade Concussion grenade Throwing flechettes Trifaraleen gas Wide-dispersal radiation grenades Blaster reflective palms Cutting laser in finger on right arm (and the moments right before he "died" the last time (2 of his bodies were destroyed by Bobba Fett and third by Dash Rendar) he could control whole Death Star II - including friggin superlaser, pity that it got destroyed virtually few seconds after he uploaded himself to take control, therefore his AI was destroyed with it, leaving his droid body empty) Conclusion, I'd love to see Mercs (PTs don't really matter because they never actually use the gun anyway - they use just flamethrower, darts, missiles and cannon) with Rifle, I'd also love to see Vanguards and Commandos with dual Pistols (Commander Rex style) - mainly because 99% Assault Cannons are so freakish big they clip into half body

As I'm leveling as dark mercenary healer (41 now), I kind of had to get HK instead of Mako to help with the kills - as Gault comes too late, it was highly inefficient to use Mako since she only has like 1 or 2 damaging abilities even in blaster stance. HK was kind of silent companion, but from Tatooine forward he at least comments on some zones, and does not make you a sweet hearted p;)ssy - unlike Mako who's emo about every darker choice (and Gault who's got Cowardice level infinite). And he's really darn powerful - I was able to do all heroic missions on Taris solo (well, does it count as solo with companion?)
  14. The helmet looks like generic mandalorian high level (50+) helmet, but if you are interested in more simple look, Hellfire Helmet looks like true mandalorian one, with the same shape visor as the one on your screen, but with shape of Mercenary Elite (or any lvl 35-45) helmet

Well, I'm afraid I haven't added Kel Dor for the same reason as Rodians, Duros or Neimoidians - they are so ugly that almost noone would play them - not to mention their faces all look exactly the same (at least those that are ingame already), that everyone of the species would look the same. Corrected it, that was a leftover from edit I forgot about. Also, me deleting Gungans was not to annoy you, I'm adding info and re-doing chapters every now and then to add new ideas or refine those already written (because I don't suppose anyone even interested in these suggestions would read WHOLE topic to get all information).
