  1. /Signed I know people are going to say "but we already have Color crystals!" that only decently affects lightsaber users, as blaster users only get to see the color when they shoot, so we are still stuck with some ugly colors on great models.
  2. This is a standard bioware "open ended" game, bioware games have always had branches that take you onto side tracks for a little while, then back onto the main rails for the story. If you want true freedom play a bethesda title, they have the least railroading. This is still a fun and epic game, and as a previous poster said, a story is written a few sentences at a time, and while the plot may be the same across most characters, there is still considerable differences between each individual story for each individual character. tl;dr: This has the normal "branching" of bioware: 1 or 2 side tracks, then back to main track.
  3. Having worked retail in a software store, i know for a fact that stores do not make a 33% margin on software. 6-10% is more like it. All the money in game stores that doesnt come from selling used games/consoles comes from accessories which usually are sold at a 100% mark up, giving a 50% margin.
  4. I agree with all but the last part of this particular post. DPS meters create Elitists and make it so people HAVE to have a certain build that gets X DPS because if they don't hit the arbitrary DPS that the "top" players get, they are worthless in the eyes of many raiding groups. Also DPS meters make people care ONLY about how much damage they are doing and for the vast majority of people i've dealt with, not pay attention to the actual fights. A threat meter on the otherhand would be a Godsend. that way the DPS and Heals can know if they are about to pull off the tank, so they can hopefully decide to not use their ROFLSTOMP high damage attack that will probably pull off the tank.
  5. At the end of the Prologue you are made a Knight as a Jedi Knight class, I proudly wore the title of Knight of the Republic until I got Black Bisector (because I like that one more)
  6. And Kyle Katarn... even though he becomes a Jedi lol. Why is it that other than the characters in the movies, the awesome non-force people become Jedi? Corran Horn... awesome pilot... turns jedi, Kyle Katarn, BAMF turns Jedi in DF 2 i know there are more, but yeah it seems like any cool non-jedi character has to become a Jedi in the EU. I will always love my General Wedge Antilles though Sorry for my tangent.. not trying to derail thread.
  7. Another use of cover by Han is during the firefight in the detention center, MAJOR use of cover, hell its the only thing that kept them alive, and of course diving for cover to get into the ventilation shaft... and in the books he feels more like the Gunslinger with 1 blaster. If anything though, Han would be a Dirty Fighter over anything else. I am really hating how people compare the classes to just the lore from the movies... there is SO much more lore in the universe, from comics, books, games, tv series, specials... I honestly think it would be almost impossible to assimilate all the lore.
  8. Tel'neni De'shan, gunslinger. Tel'neni was a random name that seemed very Twi'lek and the De'Shan is a twi'lek sounding version of Deschain, the surname of my favorite Gunslinger
  9. If you go into your preferences menu, under key bindings, there is a menu for quick slots, and you can assign the key combinations for bottom center, left, and right quick slots. Hope that helped
  10. The main problem with space exploration and such is that NASA currently undercuts any private company by selling their launch services at a loss, if a phone company wants to launch a satellite, and Space Cargo LLC says it will cost $1B, giving them say a $100M profit, NASA will do it for $400M total, taking a $600M loss on the launch.
  11. Blaster bolts as i've seen them described in the books are actually matter and not energy, superheated plasma that is focused through a magnetic field and fired. Completely plausible with current technology to make small scale blasts with huge machines. Obviously the current technology that we have would prevent portable weapons. As for light sabers, again they are possible if its a focused plasma weapon, and as they are described they are more chainsaws than blades, and they do give off immense heat, enough to cauterize a wound instantly. And the walking on in the asteroid... if there was any sort of atmosphere created by the asteroid worm within its body, it would be possible. Explosive decompression only happens when the outside pressure is drastically less than the internal pressure of an object.
