  1. I am curious how you got in almost full rakata if you are having this many problems on this boss. He is not hard at all. The most important thing is to interuppt his incinerate. The tank can do this each time. Have the DPS move from the plasma that is thrown at them and kill adds before they take out you healer and it is an easy fight. We wiped too many times the first night we ran. Now my guildys and myself clear in less than an hour without wiping. Lost Island is as enjoyable as Kaon IMO. Makes you have to pay attention. Its only Hard Mode if you dont pay attention.
  2. I use Revivification almost the entire fight. Once the tank pulls we position the enitre group in the AoE heal. After he jumps onto the pipes I stand in Revivification and HoT myself then heal anyone else. His spit is the only real problem. Focus on the player(s) that he is hitting with it. Use consumption often while in your Revivification. Do not shield anyone including self during fight if you are having problems with force.
  3. Thanks for all the replies. And to answer your question, you just need a dedicated pc. Like I said we are just using an old P4 system a friend had lying around, we are running on windows xp. Download the mumble server software and setup. If you don't have a static like most home users do not just use a free service like http://www.noip.com to setup the ip name. The person that setup the server just used google to figure out the software setup. Looks like most see mumble as the better way to go though. I agree, free and better quality. Thanks for the input. I just wanted to see how popular mumble is becoming vs vent and teamspeak.
  4. So true, the first pull after all the talking is the worst in the whole place including bosses. All that talking seems to catch people off guard.
  5. I am curious how many guilds are using mumble instead of vent. Our guild has been using mumble since launch and love it compared to vent. We have used vent a couple times when our mumble server was down (loss of internet at the home of guildy that hosts it) and the quality of vent is poor in comparison. If you have not tried mumble I highly suggest it. You can also host your own server for free for up to 100 users. We run ours on an old P4 machine and it works great. Anyways just wanting to see how many others are using it and see what you all think that are.
  6. I understand the reasoning behind normal ops randomly handing out loot but please for the love of gaming let me choose to pass on loot when running normals. My guilds 8 man OP team does not need anything from normal OPs. We run people that are fresh 50's through them to help get them gear. Of course as we do this we end up getting the Columi comm's more often than not. For example we had 3 Sorc's in the group and the only person that needed the gear got nothing from it. I am not asking for a big change here. Just let us choose to pass on all loot so we don't take from those that need it. Please post to thread if you agree.
  7. Please add a feature to allow players to trade items won via automatic rolls for token gear in Operations. I am tired of seeing guild members and myself get tokens we already have when someone else could use them. You could allow a trade to those that were elgible within a fixed time period. It would also be nice to trade gear that someone needs (because they were not paying attention) that is not for their class in Flashpoints. I have seen too many people get in a hurry and win someone else's gear and not be allowed to trade. Putting in a ticket may get the person the gear but it is a waste of time on both your part and the players. Please address these issues soon. I am sure many others share my opinion.
  8. What is wrong with desktops for games? Much better than laptops and cheaper to build a nice system. Laptops were designed for portability not for gaming.
  9. first respec is free. try one
  10. If you both start on the same planet then you can group from level 1 on. But the OP is not going to be on the same planet as his friend. My son and myself will be on the same and will group as well. Me an Inq and him a warrior.
  11. I have played the Inquisitor to 32 on beta and it kept getting better. Not sure after that. I played other classes to 20 or so but their stories were not near as good to me as the Inquisitor.
  12. It is on DK. So you are going to have to roll Empire for it. Not class specific though. You pick up in Kaas city around level 14.
  13. ehh we have a year till 12-21-2012. It is all crap anyways
