  1. The formula used in SWTOR, WoW, EQ etc... is overused and stale. I'm losing more and more interest in the game by the day. This game offers nothing more than other games on the market except the voice overs. Other games can offer an equal or better experience in the mechanics that swtor has to offer.
  2. I hate to say it, but the more I play the game I'm starting to realize this game has nothing much to offer that other games don't already offer in a more polished/enjoyable setting. IMO swtor has copied to many aspects of popular MMOs, sure it's good to take ideas from somewhere else but your product needs to add more than what the competitor already does. Swtor's greatest achievement so far is it's leveling system. With the voice acting, it makes for a much less tiresome procedure and I myself for the first time in a very long time enjoyed leveling my character in an MMO it just did not feel like a grind. But at the same time the leveling system also has many flaws. It is very linear, I always come to think of Nar Shadda especially, small corridors, not much room to move, in to do your quest and out to hand it in. Exploration is also hindered when in what look like to be big open zones you hit an exhaustion zone and are forced to turn around otherwise you will die. Flashpoints are one thing I was satisfied with, it was good to see mechanics implemented in early flashpoints right off the bat, and not doing encounters without paying attention would result in death. End game pve on the other hand has been very disappointing. Firstly heroics: to this day I have only done 2 heroic mode flashpoints, black talon I did as soon as I hit 50, and kaon under siege because I had not done it. I skipped all the others because It was not necessary to complete them as I raided straight away, because to be honest, was actually easier. That should not be the case, being able to skip content like that, should not be happening especially in an MMO that lacks amounts of it. The other bone to pick with pve is the system they used... 2 operations, 3 difficulties. This makes for a very stale and boring experience, the 'new car smell' is completely gone as soon as you finish said instance on normal mode. Sure it may get harder but it's the same encounter that you have already completed. Bring back the days of 1 difficulty and actually make it hard again, so that a raid team needs to gear up their whole off one boss before they can even think about attempting the next etc... It just makes for a more fresh end game experience. It's much more rewarding to down an entirely new boss as oppose to one you have already defeated on another difficulty. Now on to pvp, warzones in my eyes are fine, people may may not like huttball. But when both teams know what they are doing, it can lead to some exciting and nail biting finishes. The classes seem to be reasonably balanced enough and if you know your class well enough you can do great with any said class. The problems that I see in pvp are world pvp an end game pvp. The only end game pvp so far is 'Ilum', let's be honest, Ilum is a joke. There is nothin fun about it, it's do your daily and get out. We are also offered nothing in terms of instanced end game pvp. Not that I want it, but no arena, no rated warzones, not even a level 50 only wz. World pvp in general is a massive let down, you rarely see the opposing faction whilst leveling because questing areas hardly overlap, there is no objective point based areas in zones, there is literally nothin in terms of world pvp, not even cities to raid. Was so fun in WoW getting up to mischief in an opposing factions city, either with a full raid group barging through the main walls or as a small group picking people off. Warhammer was on the right track with the whole raiding sieges/forts/cities but they just couldn't quite pull it off... With games like diablo and guild wars coming out, swtor is going to struggle. People need some change to make the game feel fresh. tl:dr swtor brings nothing new to the MMO scene. Other MMOs on the market today can provide a more enjoyable or equally as good experience to every aspect of the game. It uses a standard MMO formula that has been over used and is starting to get stale, which I believe will lead to the downfall of swtor. Biodrones assemble.
  3. So I've been playing my Smuggler for 32 levels now... Where the hell is my whip? Do I even get one like Han Solo does in the movies??? At this point it's not looking very good, but I guess I'll keep playing him to 50 in hope that I might get one...
  4. So I have a 32 smuggler and still don't have a whip like Han solo has in the movies? When do I get one, and can I use it like he does... Strangle enemies swing on ledges etc..
  5. I think what is more important is the future of man kind, there are wars about to erupt which are going to lead to a global catastrophe, Israel must be stopped!
  6. Also thought I might touch on the pvp aspect of the game, now I could go on for hours, as you all know how in depth my reviews can be but instead I'll keep it short and sweet probably a paragraph or so long... Anyway the pvp in SW:TOR, can be fun!
  7. Thank you, sir! Sometimes I doubt my review writing ability, but when I get kind replies like yours it makes me feel appreciated. A lot of time and effort goes into these reviews and I'm glad to know it's helping the gaming community as a whole.
  8. -10 sense o' humor + it wasn't a troll...
  9. No, I read this in George Lucas' autobiography, the character Han Solo was based on him.
