  1. Unfortunately there is a glitch with the GF... I queue solely as a DPS-er and get nailed into the Healer slot quite frequently on my Commando. I do NOT enjoy healing, even though I do not do bad at it. HOWEVER if I have the darn thing UNSELECTED it should not put me into the healer role... yet it does... known bug.
  2. I have to disagree with this one. For the simple reason that when you choose your advanced class it states right then and there in a text box you must click to continue that "This choice is permanent".
  3. I'd like to play as either an Ewok ( Ewok Sith Juggernaut!) or as a Jawa (Jawa Bounty Hunter). Last race I heard scuttlebutt about was Cathar... people SERIOUSLY want cathar????? This isn't Hello Kitty Online, you know!
  4. Wow, so glad I found this before I started buying tabs. I agree with the OP. Purchase of the Cartel Bank Tabs (tabs 4 & 5) should not, in any way, shape or form, affect tabs 1-3. In fact it should be programmatically possible to allow the bank to display tabs 4 & 5 (if purchased) before tabs 2 or 3 are even available. Anyway I hope this gets the attention it deserves (and gets a fix).
  5. I'd like to see planets near the coreward worlds done. And outer rim worlds. Maybe some neutral space asteroid bases? This game has limitless possibilities (as long as they stay true to Star Wars Lore). Anyway, Kashyyk and Dantooine would be fine additions, I agree, but smuggler's moons, and watery planets (I know, I know, they'd have to develop swimming mechanics), would be simply awesome. But the more planets we have... the thinner the populations get on each individual planet... soo.... balance?
  6. Untrue... due to this part of the law: 22-25A-1. Bet or wager defined. For the purposes of this chapter, the term, bet or wager, means to directly or indirectly take, receive, or accept money or any valuable thing with the understanding or agreement that the money or valuable thing will be paid or delivered to a person if the payment or delivery is contingent upon the result of a race, contest, or game or upon the happening of an event not known to be certain. Bet or wager does not include the purchase, sale, or trade of securities or commodities under state or federal law. Source: SL 2000, ch 106, § 1. We, by the fact that we purchase access to the game (our subscription) assign value to everything in the game, therefore it falls well within this subsection of the law.
  7. Bubble burster for South Dakota gamblers: SDCL 22 section 25A subsection 8 States: 22-25A-8 Establishment of internet gambling business prohibited. Except as provided in § 22-25A-15, no person may establish a location or site in this state from which to conduct a gambling business on or over the internet or an interactive computer service. (Source: http://legis.state.sd.us/statutes/DisplayStatute.aspx?Statute=22-25A&Type=Statute ) And South Dakota is not alone: Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington all have anti-ONLINE-gambling laws. edit: possible loophole -> since Bioware is NOT physically in South Dakota the law MAY NOT APPLY.
  8. Please post your ship purchase idea in the suggestions box! I like it, but won't cliam it as my own. PLEASE repost it there!
  9. um... what? there is always the option to "hide headgear" to facilitate your rant. I like the idea of being able to wear hoods or helms for the mirwhatsies... can never remember how to spell it... lol
  10. I don't agree, nor do I disagree. There is a method that would allow both Legacy and Character names to be non-unique. Institute a character number system. Of course this number would be hidden from the player, and it would make keeping track of your friends quite interesting, but it would allow a more strict approach to the naming convention. You could compile a list of "forbidden" names (saved server side) that the client would compare against and allow or disallow the name appropriately. Anyway, in order to avoid adding the wrong friend to your character list you could make the first 8 digits of the character number a unique alpha-numeric (eg hexadecimal) number that is applied to only those characters on that particular account, and those 8 digits would be required when adding friends through typing the names in. Clicking the character then selecting "add friend" would work as normal.
  11. I don't know if this has been suggested yet or not, but I feel there is room for post level 50 class specific missions: Each should be level 50 groups, able to be soloed, and the difficulty scale with size of group. Should also show up on random planets in class-specific instances. Warrior: Extermination of anti-empire rebellions (dark). Or elimination of enemies of pro-empire groups (light) Inquisitor: Finding and destroying ancient rellics (dark) or obtaining them for imperial use (light) Agent: Infiltration of various organizations with intent of subversion (dark) or intent of recruitment (light) Mercenary: Various kill targets (dark) or capture targets (light) Knight: Defend a colony (light) or sacrifice an individual (dark) Consular: Help a peace treaty (light) or cause a war (dark) Trooper: Secure a target (light) or destroy a population (dark) Smuggler: Rescue someone (light) or do some profiteering (dark) Room for improvement? Yes... but this is a good place to start edit: ALL post-50 missions should be challenging with a very real possibility for failure even in Rakata or higher gear.

  13. Although it has always been there I disagree with having a maximum number of toons on one server. A maximum GRAND TOTAL, sure... spread across all servers... but if you want all of your characters on one server you should be able to have them there. 8 just isn't enough... after all who wants to delete their 50's after they have unlocked the species? As it stands it is what you have to do, either that or pay creds to unlock that last species... then you have the companion affection rewards. To truly benefit from those rewards (as in a low-level character benefiting from them) you have to delete a level 50... how much sense is there in that?
  14. edit: or maybe Besalisk (which can speak common) instead of any of the others I mentioned... although 4 arms (or more for females) may be difficult for the artists and riggers. This person said what I (mostly) feel. However, instead of Kaleesh, Devronians, and Gen'dai; I would rather see Jawa (empire specific unless legacy unlocked to republic), the blue elephant-looking ones from Hoth (republic specific unless legacy unlocked to empire) and possibly Bando Gora (ya, I know.. undead) for both sides (after all, they were brought to lify by the Dark Jedi Komari Vosa... so they should be available to both sides)... don't judge me... I like my undead...
  15. You just have to keep using the FIRST ability you used, I believe it is called saber strike or some such. It costs nothing to use, and it builds rage. That's how you get to use your other abilities. You build rage with the one, then use the others. edit: of course if you are using "Leap" to build rage that won't work. There is a default attack (that used to be on #1 if you moved things around) that is used to build rage.
