  1. I dont disagree with the Item shop, as I have paid for a few Cartel packs myself. However, quickly seeing it as a RL cash sink for utter junk 95% of the time I quickly abandoned my purchases from the Item shop. I am still playing SWTOR because yes I am a fan as I grew up during the release of the original Star Wars films. I get to live out some moments as a BH, or Sith. Even this will give into boredom sooner than later with a majority of the cool guy stuff costing RL money. I want to quest and earn the rare things, not buy them and this in the end will drive me from the game even as a fan of Star Wars. I will always take a subscription plan over F2P, as I believe it takes a paying player base to make a great product. I never was a fan of F2P, understanding why it has to be though. I just think you get a better quality game from a subscription player base, almost Quality over quantity. - Would you prefer a F2P game that had no subscription plan offer and was entirely item shop? NO
  2. HK-51 on Alderan: "Assessment: Those wind turbine blades would dis-embower any undesirables if thrown into them" Or something to that effect, I about choked on my beer when I heard that the first time.
  3. I would take that job, sit at home monitor the chat channels with a nice "Ban-hammer" while waiting for my PvP to "pop". What this game needs is the Guide program like Everquest used to have. People would apply to be a guide and they would go through in game training to handle tickets and issues within the game and if they couldn't handle it as a guide or senior guide they would elevate it up to a GM. Oh did I say they were Volunteer's? I must say that the General chat is just horrible, I was going to get my son his own account so we could play together but I have since changed my mind and that we will just play another game together instead while I play this one solo. Sad, as he is a BIG Star Wars fan and has all the toys to go with it. General chat has ruined this for him. Cheers
  4. Why dont they just make all the Armor, mounts and high value stuff without a "bind" i.e BOE / BOP. Then make the older Cartel packs obsolete. You could then of course transfer the lets say Revan's Gear to another toon or re-sale on the GTN at a later date. Once the Cartel pack that the item came in is no longer obtainable these items would be in high demand as "Rare", plus the individual owners could make credits back on "old items" not wanted anymore, and Collectors could well collect rare items to show off months from now. Just a thought and would maybe boost the economy as well on high value items that are Rare... I like the idea of the Cartel Packs and I have as well supported the game by buying a few. I have been rather disappointed that I have never received Revan's Mask or anything like that, as such I do not buy them anymore as I agree its like paying real cash for in game junk that I cant even unload on to an NPC vendor as trash.
  5. The guide that you have read over on Dulfy's is spot on IMHO, I have completed this quest and at times it can get boring, but that is the object of quests like these. It takes time to complete and dedication. The trick is getting a group together and going to the place that is outlined in the guides and splitting out in directions searching for it. I didn't have any trouble finding the part on Taris, however, Dromund Kaus (sp?) and the Jedi Temple tried my patience but in the end I found them. You have to take small steps and don't miss a single piece of terrain to scan. Also every time the part is found it is relocated to a different place, not a static location. TLDR: Group up with some friends and search, it will be easier, do crafting missions while scanning
  6. Yes I do like to hit taunts and guard people if there is a healer around.
  7. Wow, thanks all for the great information. I am going to revisit my spec and try out the offered advice here. I will defiantly pick up two +41 Expertise crystals from the Cartel shop at level 35. I wish Immortal spec was a more viable option as its play style is right up my "alley". Is the vengeance spec going to be ok with HK-51 as a companion? I think Quinn is a waste of time and I have died more times than not with him healing, I have upgraded his gear as well, oh well must be my play style. Thanks again
  8. Thanks, I would leave Immortal spec, however, I like the play style that it brings. Does the +41 Expertise really provide any type of real benefit at lower levels to buy two +41 to Expertise? (side note, I will pick up rage spec once I get enough levels to get the appropriate talents)
  9. Hello all, I am currently leveling a Jugg and i am now at level 31 going up the immortal tree running with HK-51 as my companion. I have decided I want to get one of these fancy new +41 crystals to use but I am torn between which ones to actually pay the cash for. I do like doing quests to get my level up and do a lot of side PvP to break up the time on quests and such. So which Crystal would you take to smack some Jedi Skulls around with? I dont plan on doing any PVE tanking if that matters any. Thanks

    PvP?

I would however, it seems like it is a waste of energy typing out a constructive post as the other fine person has stated there are numerous ones already made but fall on deft ears (or eye's in this case) and nothing ever changes. I simply needed to rant about the system. My biggest complaint is the Stuns / resolve mechanics in the game. You can get stunned three or four times and you have one ability to get you out of the three or four stuns waiting for you. Maybe add another ability to break stuns if there is going to be this many CC's available.

    PvP?

I know I will get flamed for this, and it will get locked or deleted but.... Bioware / EA your PvP model really stinks, fix the imbalance and PvP gear issues or just get rid of your PvP all together. L2P, blah blah blah got it, but it doesnt help the fact that the PvP in this game just out right blows /end rant
  12. Prime example of the "Give it to me now generation" Took nine months to finish my epic quest line in Everquest back in the day. You think a small quest line takes to long? Honestly it should have been a lot harder, some raid drops, locate an NPC and do some sub quests etc etc. IMHO anyways. To short of a quest for a great companion
  13. First we complained that the worlds were to empty, now are people seriously starting to complain the worlds are to crowded? I don't get it.......... Can some of you people find a happy place and at least enjoy that without complaining?
