  1. Good evening all, As the title implies I have a variety of armor sets I am looking to sell and I'm very willing to negotiate on prices. Dathomir Shaman set 5 million credits http://tor-fashion.com/dathomir-shaman/ Ghostly Magus set 10 million credits http://tor-fashion.com/ghostly-magus/ Relaxed Uniform set 5 million credits http://tor-fashion.com/relaxed-uniform/ THORN Containment Armor set 2 million credits http://tor-fashion.com/thorn-containment/ Stylish Dancer Armor set 2 million credits http://tor-fashion.com/stylish-dancer/
  2. Good evening Pot5, As the title states I am looking to sell the Ultra Rare Revanite Champion Armor Set http://tor-fashion.com/revanite-champion/ I know that on other servers the price for individual pieces of this armor set can go for upwards of ten million credits or more however given how few serious players are left on this server I'm going to set my opening asking price to 40 Million Credits. Naturally I'm willing to negotiate, there are even a few trades I would be willing to take to significantly lower the price such as complete Revan or Revan Reborn sets, Command Throne mounts, Black/Black armor dyes. Feel free to send a message or respond here. While I expect critics and those to make fun, comes with the territory, please keep comments appropriate.
  3. While I would love X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter built into SWTOR I don't see it happening anytime soon. For starters the development team has said they wanted to make the space missions feel "iconic" which basically meant that there wouldn't be any free roaming space flight and instead these instanced on rails sections. That being the case there can be a happy medium such as instanced PvP areas that take place over contested planets but again this seems more like a full expansion a la Jump to Lightspeed then content update. This is an idea that's great in theory but falls apart in practice. Looking at it strictly from a lore point of view how could you justify three way PvP? Why would a third faction even attempt to take on the might of the Empire or risk angering the Republic? Sure you could have built up a Hutt cartel type of faction for the scum of the universe but would they really work together? How long would a two front war really last? Giving each of the classes a unique mission structure, for example bounty hunting for bounty hunters, smuggling for smugglers, and building a power base for Sith would give the depth to these characters without having to force a third faction. They said this would be in game...it still is not. I fully support grey Jedi or Sith and would like to see this happen as well. He has his own Flash Point and as we know So that being said I could see where and how this might happen but likely as a full update rather then a one off. See my first response, again this just wasn't their vision of space flight. Personally I would enjoy seeing a mix of the two, instanced intense combat sections and open flight areas that actually have something to do rather then go flying aimlessly for hours hoping to stumble onto content. The Jedi and Sith advanced classes have completely different fighting styles and class roles...what else is it that you want? I can see asking for new classes, though I don't particularly see the need for them at this point in the game. While I certainly agree that the later you meet a companion the less they seem to have to offer I won't say that single minded companions are a bad thing. Some people just want to join a Sith to make people suffer, some want to follow a Jedi to make life better, some reluctantly follow a bounty hunter so they don't end up being the next mark. I would like to see the stories continue but naturally and not forced. So long as they drop the prices I would be fine with them just continually updating the system and one would expect this will be the case. When the F2P transition happens some expect these unlocks to be part of the cartel coin shop and I wouldn't have an issue with that, personally my biggest problem with the legacy system is that with the forced migration your levels were not added for one total. It makes it feel like a waste of time to play alts while waiting for paid character transfers, PAID, take my money please! Again this is something that could be revealed in future content updates or expansions. There is nothing wrong with leaving plot threads so long as they are developed over time and not left hanging. They are meant to be a PITA. The entire Datacron system is basically the best endgame content there is right now and collecting them really isn't that big of a hassle. It's nice to be able to explore the various worlds and find all of these lore boxes and truthfully gathering them is meant to fill the min maxer need.
  4. That's the problem right there. Had SWTOR launched as a free to play game then all of the people such as myself asking, hell at this point begging, for new content wouldn't have a strong argument. The fact is this game did not start as free to play, it was released as a subscription based game which many people thought would go into generating new and frequent content updates. This sudden change to a free to play model less than a year from launch makes many feel like all they have been paying for, apart from the obvious access to servers, is for EA/Bioware to switch development over to a free to play model. The extreme lack of an engaging end game, drought of updates, and honestly lack of innovation is what has driven so many people off. People had a lot of hope for this game and the developers helped to build that up but this game has failed to deliver. Sure, for someone in your situation who doesn't want to spend a lot of time in game that's not a problem but that doesn't mean a game has to sacrifice depth for simplicity. People feel like they have been fooled and no one really enjoys that especially when so many of them wanted this game just to succeed and deliver on the promises made by its creators.
  5. If you really think quality of life features don't matter than you have no idea how marketing works. You don't come out with a new product that is, apart from the wrapper, a carbon copy of an old one but without all the bells and whistles. Sure you might sell a few, might get people real excited, but once that initial interest dies off all you have left are a handful of true believers and a lot of disappointed people. If you can't look at these general forums and see that's exactly what has happened here...well maybe you need to step away from the video game.
  6. The problem with this argument is that WoW was released in 2004 while SWTOR launched in 2011. What does that mean? Well apart from the obvious that WoW had nearly eight years of content and innovations over SWTOR it means that SWTOR had a perfectly good template to base itself around but apart from using a nearly identical UI the developers seemed to ignore all the lessons WoW has taught. While I can certainly understand the argument some of the developers have made that having a game launch with group finder or instance/Flash Point ques could make the world "feel smaller," it is these quality of life features that help keep an MMO going. If it's overly difficult to put together a group or takes far too long to find some help to do a quest people will, and demonstrably have, lost interest. A game launching in 2011 should not be adding features like group finder in content updates or have dual-specs in some nebulous "when it's ready" development cycle, they should and are expected to be there from the start. I certainly enjoy SWTOR, I played in multiple betas and purchased my CE with a smile on my face. That being said, I can't ignore the lack of innovation, the almost fearful lack of risk taking, and the drought of content. I think most people who have played this game wanted to see it succeed, wanted to see a story driven MMO that wasn't afraid to make player choices matter and have long lasting impact. This game was built on and raised so many hopes that I don't think it ever could have delivered but it didn't need to come crashing down so damn hard.
  7. I would love to see a Teras Kasi class added to the game if for no other reason than to watch the forums explode in comparison to kung fu panda monks. Please make sure the class is restricted to Wookiees only.
  8. I really believed they would because they said they would, http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20111021 From that page, "Collector’s Edition Store. At launch the Collector’s Edition Store will be available to those who have the Collector’s Edition of The Old Republic, and will feature items found nowhere else in the game! The Collector’s Edition will be stocked with exclusive social items for yourself, and unique appearances for your companion. The store will also have regular updates to give players incentive to keep coming back." While I am quite happy with the Darth Malgus statue, the soundtrack, the art book/journal, they were not the main reason I decided to opt for the collector's edition of SWTOR. They were certainly added value and I enjoy them but the promise of unique in-game items is why I made that purchase so simply put, no, I did not get what I paid for.
  9. While true one must consider WoW is a much older game that has far more content. The problem is SWTOR invested everything in "story" but once you max level one character per faction you've seen roughly 80% of what the game has to offer. Class stories are great and wonderfully unique but if I need to grind through that much content over and over again just for a 20% difference is it really worth it? Everyone wanted SWTOR to be the next big thing and we all hoped that it could keep the KOTOR legacy going but fact is the lack of new content, the delays in adding features which should be expected of a modern MMO, and persistent stories of a studio shifting around it just collapsed under its own weight. I hope the next patch gives all the content they have promised, but it just seems to be another case of too little too late.
  10. The issue isn't that Lightning lacks good talents or that it isn't a viable build but that it relies on inferior abilities. A 31 point Lightning build uses Lightning Strike as its primary nuke which in comparison to Force Lightning in a hybrid build is simply less effective. A properly built hybrid makes Force Lightning instant cast, Force positive, and capable of generating Wrath. Lightning Strike in a 31 point build is still on a cast time, is not Force positive even with Subversion, and only has the benefit of generating Conduction. In terms of hard hitting abilities Thundering Blast is certainly a great one thanks to Reverberating Force but often in PvP it is far too easy to Line of Sight due to its cast time. In comparison a Wrath proc of Chain Lightning does comparable damage, is instant cast, and also hits multiple targets. Again, it isn't an issue of one being better than another but more a question of what the player finds to be more efficient and fitting with their playstyle. While leveling Lightning was great but as soon as I got to the upper forties and hit max the hybrid builds were simply more Force efficient, more damaging, and personally more reliable.
  11. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201hZdcMMdMMZcrcRsMk.1 Personally I've been using a hybrid build of 3/17/21 or Lightning Effusion & Deathmark. This build is based around eliminating your resource bar, with the combination of Sith Efficacy (which benefits from Reserves) and Lightning Effusion (which procs more often from Seeping Darkness) you have nearly unlimited Force. The advantage of this is that you're able to put points into Convection instead of Electric Induction which means Crushing Darkness & Chain Lightning will deal more damage. From my experience Parasitism hasn't been all that helpful even when Affliction is spam casted so I favor putting points into Oppressing Force which has the PvP advantage of having Electrocute available more often and trivializes a lot of PvE content from chaining Whirlwinds. Along the same lines I avoid Lightning Spire for Hybrid builds because it only benefits one ability in your standard rotation, Chain Lightning, and even that ability should only be cast if Crushing Darkness is on cooldown or you have a Wrath proc. To your question of picking up Lightning Storm I wouldn't see the point as Force Lightning is simply a better ability to be casting than Lightning Strike so the only way it would proc would be from casting Force Storm which although helpful in PvE is situational in PvP at best. The CD on Chain Lightning is not so long as to be prohibitive so using an inferior ability or trying to use a Force heavy one to bring it up doesn't seem worthwhile.
