  1. Not at all. This is Bioware so anyone who stuck enough with their games, has idea how they handled main propagandists, I am not getting into that. Point being while I liked Revan for me the story about Revan ended the moment KOTOR 2 was released and didn't pick up story from where it left off. I just accept it, that chapter is over and I moved on. So you can either sob about it until the end of life cycle of TOR or you can accept that this was never about Revan, Exile or whatever other character you grown to like. Bioware just doesn't care what you think "Star Wars is about" and they also know that you don't care, that they don't care. I personally disagree with you about "un-star-wars" is. For me un-star -wars like (as close as it comes) is Imperial agent story but then again I sort accepted as a part of SW universe that just isn't for me. And SWTOR isn't continuity of KOTOR 1/2 it's more of it's own boat that had to steer events in the direction they set. The funniest thing is people thinking KOTOR 2 would be any different if Bioware actually made the sequel (and not Obsidian Entertaiment), it would be handled the same way. Different main character, different chapter, some returning faces and perhaps one persistent "veiled in mystery and sarcasm" that serve purpose of narrator than anything else. Same goes for KOTOR x whatever. Now I do hope they are done with the last chapter picking up and tying up lose ends, no matter how flawed it is and start of with the new one, when next expansion or story updates come out. Just try to drop it already or move on (because with High republic being in cannon and Old republic officially being discounted this game is the closest you will get to enjoying in lore of that era,
  2. The only thing nerfed is ... well not a nerf just scaled down: - you will still kill bunch of things with little effort - you will be unkillable with companion set as healer (especially if you are good and have rotation for whatever class you are playing ironed) - You will have all skills (meaning that if you are 75 and go to planet that will scale you to 25, you will keep all masteries and be literally OP as hell, despite scaled down stats - hp, damage and etc) In other words, you benefit more than lose. That said I wonder ... how long has it been since you played any MMO? Because all of them are doing that now and pretty much SP titles with " open world" concept
  3. I cam amass credits without even trying too. This is probably the first mmo ever, where I never ran out of currency or had to invest a lot of effort to earn it. (100k in this game is pocket in-game currency money) So while not perfect system, I don't get what are you frustrated about
  4. I personally find Imperial Agent story the least favorite. I am struggling to understand what was the fuss all about and regret seeing it to the end- one end that is but even so it was a drag. On the contrary the ones I liked the most, of every story that I played is Trooper's and not really going here with a flow but Smuggler was also one that I really liked. Jedi knight it's a classic cliché, nothing special nor remarkable there (it did have few interesting moment but ultimately only hold slightly more interest for me than Imperial Agent).
  5. Pretty much, more maintance cost + production expanses and whatever model for sub we have now and how expansions are being delivered would change to something alike ESO
  6. I am actually always baffled by people getting caught up in whole must have all companions (pun intended) It's an option left for people like you which are overwhelming in numbers but they didn't intended it and left you a choice, instead of making ultimate decision for you (and yet still complaints). You are not forced what's so ever no one is forcing but you forcing yourself, see the irony? Even in Beta before SWTOR was released officially they were forced to obliged to must have all companions motto (- which unfortunately is the biggest drawback of SWTOR being MMO (and painful reminder - I just wish we have more control over our character, since we have to roll with whatever is served and can't impact the world. But yeah, never going to happen).
  7. I am playing Balmora planet arc (republic) right now and it's so tedious, long and boring story. Too much hops from here to there, nothing particularly interesting and yet it's one of the most praised Planet arcs - and Ilum for that matter, what a joke The main problem it seems you have, like majority people bashing KoFTE story line is that it tries to expand away from cliche Empire vs Republic conflict, again it's personal preference but I am really sad to see to see the way audience reacted there - yes the writing was poor in some parts but a lot of core game has poor writing too, whatever you want to admit or not. The last few story chapters (Onslaught and Echo of Oblivions were actually upgrade compared to the most of the core and previous expansion lore) On other hand I actually (while not everything) liked storyline of KOFTE for most part, so in the end it comes down to personal taste
  8. And also ruin experience for a major amount of population because some people are all about eye candy? Not everyone can afford modern hardware plus this game didn't age badly. I seriously hope they focus on improvement what's already here and stability. Swapping engine is major undertaking, it's not something you just think and make happen, it could lead to major disaster instead and game doesn't need revival
  9. Well those ideas are subtle and why not. I also think that Character models should really be improved
  10. Actually we really lack good Clone wars games that tell story and they can divert from main cannon to be stand alone, there could tone of potential there (After all animated show is the high peak example of it) That said, we really don't have anything that tells the story of High republic ... expect comics (and they only started to roll out and to me it was always a mystery why no one tries to tackle with that era) We have SWTOR to continue where KOTOR games left off, but nothing but wikia and perhaps some one-shot stories that tell the story where Old republic end and new began
  11. In what Era of gaming are you stuck? Level scaling is absolutely must in MMOs, even Single player titles have it. This game would be absolute broken mess without it and would have next to no existing progression
  12. The fact you are asking this questions is silly by itself. I won't even bother commenting on that. It's not about "single-player". " mmo-rpg" and SWTOR was never about just being MMOrpg (nor no one mention KOTOR3 is going to be "single-player", likely not another MMO but it can be developed with persistent Online presence gameplay/elements) And Jedi Knight Fallen order is pretty okay, far from pretty good - than again whatever really, you are entitled to your own opinion. It's just that we haven't had even single remotely good game in SW universe, which exhibits decent qualities and being able to wield around light-saber, since Jedi Academy Anyhow, it doesn't matter whatever it's true or not,SWTOR will be where it always has been and continue to expand EU, where as KOTOR 3 if we ever get one, will either be re-imaging/rework or some standalone chapter which could be miss or hit, depending on how it's executed
  13. Sound mediocre and marketing-ish. Story driven (sure, a lot of games claim that recently, since guess what? They finally realized there is a rich (and demanding) market for them, but are they "meh" or "good" - usually fall short and meh. Open-world .... yeah whatever, I am not happy about that - so many titles claim that nowadays, and yet we only get interpretation of it that is substitute to " real" open world (not to mention it contributes to lack of quality content and it being heavily instanced) Star Wars? Okay ..... I mean why exactly are you people getting hyped?
  14. SWTOR will never rip for KOTOR 3 lol. In fact we been promised this so many times by now - I have honestly given up on it years ago, and yet the continuation of original games carried over within SWTOR and develops EU cannon trough it. I personally believe this to be overhyped (as pretty much anything 2019-21) rumor/ subpar concept and KOTOR 3 doesn't have a place anymore. Even if it's pulled somehow, the studio that is behind is in " veil of mystery" that doesn't exactly instill much of the confidence. Plus if it gets released people will continue to play SWTOR because it's SWTOR and offers different play space and experience. Jedi Knight Fallen Order only succeed cause it was no completion for it and after the longest time finally decent Action oriented with okay story elements Jedi focused game (in reality once you get over honey moon phase and visuals, it's very bland and boring game) But then again if there is KOTOR 3 out there in the end that could be good thing for SWTOR for another reason finally a competitor (especially worthy) that can provoke Bioware to be more creative and ambitious with future content of this game. - that's just a wish though, I believe in the end they will co-exist with one another, where most player chose to play both for different reasons.
