  1. This guide is a great resource for new and old pilots alike. Can we please get this post stickied.
  2. I think if people stuck with it and did not get discouraged with early losses we could get more and more games going and thus enable the ability to do ranked, but as of now there is not enough to warrant ranked. There is a new guide on the forums (Stasies Guide to GSF) iirc. This guide should help out with the component aspect of GSF. The actual piloting aspect can be helped by finding who the good pilots are and asking them for help. A majority of them are very helpful, although there are a few that think they are the best and everyone is below them. Unfortunately you cannot avoid the ones who are just stroking their e-peen, but I have found that most of the good ones will help and aid if/when they can.
  3. Great guide. I would like to add my two cents to this topic. For those who disagree with what is posted that is fine. It does seem that (in my opinion) that you haven't read the explanation to why each component was chosen. For those new Pilots do not look for a TL;DR version of this guide. Do yourself a favor and READ this guide, and therefore improve not only what to do but why you are doing it. If you do that you will see that as a pilot you will improve drastically. This is coming from someone who queues solo and as a group. TL;DR -- READ THE GUIDE
  4. Here is the scenario. You log into GSF and your team has 4+ more than the other team starting the 30 sec shutdown. Shutdown goes off and your team LOSES. How is the possible. Every time I have been in the situation where it has been reverse, other team has 4+ people than us and the shutdown goes off, we still LOSE. Do both teams lose? Or is this a glitch?
  5. Yet you were talking about how you PvP. How does that effect anything in the rest of the game and it is a grind as well, and guess what in ground PvP you cannot change your class is GSF you can change what ship/role you do. Back to topic initally posted. It may take a while, but keep plugging away and you will get good at what you are doing. Do not give up after a few deaths. We all started there.
  6. Not sure if people are aware but the Rakghoul event was the event the led into the Kaon Under Seige and Lost Island FP. It was a one time deal. Now that Dr. Lorric is dealt with, Bioware would have to create another story arc to describe why the Rakghouls are back. As to the Chevin event, that was event that led into the Gree's return to known space. Now that the Gree have returned, why would we need another event telling us of their return. The Gree even is reoccuring due to the fact that the Gree arrive at Illum have us do a little research for them and then leave. They return to get more research done. This is why the Rakghoul and Chevin event are no longer available, and the Gree event is reoccuring. In 2.3 we will have a new event (Bounty Hunter Contract Week) that should also be reoccuring. You can say you want the Rakghouls back, but as I posted there is no story arc to warrant it.
  7. I like my idea as a sorcerer. I just grip them into a fire, so they die, respawn and then get kicked . I think 1.2 will come with the option to report afkrs which will kick them after inactivity if I read that notes correctly.
