  1. Wanted to bump this thread, its very open and informative for games that once were and actually games that people are still able to play. It is not your typical "other MMO's" thread and hope other continue to share.
  2. NiM loot is not my concern, but I was letting my sub expire for the first time since launch - so many character and I did have some fun
  3. Totally agree! I love these guns, I have a set on one of my merc's and some on agent temple - they are sleek and get the job done. I have always said the original "classic 50" gear and weapons are still the best in game; have no idea why they removed those vendors
  4. Thank you for the guides Dulfy; yes people can enjoy the game also without them. But I will say if it was not for the comments in Dulfy's walkthrough I would not be able to actually get the Imperial side done. The heroic 2 seems to glitch if you are grouped with someone else on the quest- it doesn't seem to complete "Planted false data in the Tarlam hall of records" which is horrible because as noted that Heroic 2 is nearly impossible with the mechanic
  5. This is happened every week to multiple characters that I basically got sick of it and stopped starting in game tickets for it
  6. I agree with the "really no use for them" idea and that they also get farmed by bots a lot of the time; but as a new player leveling and someone who enjoys finding "secret" area's and rewards for exploring it is cool to find them. I actually ran a heroic for conquest this past week on Nar shadda and found a chest in the very back of an area I had never bothered to go near in my over 3 years playing
  7. Excellent work- Death to the Gold Spammers!
  8. Do whatever crafting profession that excites you or feel like trying. I have them all on at least one character and yes biochem is useful but not like it was pre 3.0 because you had to be biochem to use the reusable stims/medpacks- they did away with those so whatever works for you. Keep in mind the +critical bonuses of your companion (which don't seem extra special for the consular) but will say I use this guide for power leveling crafting . for all your gathering skills (slicing also) I usually will not leave a planet until the nodes are grey/green for me. Good luck and have fun
  9. Yes was in the middle of a fight and DC'd- restarted the game to be sure and when I cam back the server status was "offline". East coast Boston area. With the delay lag I have been getting in all area's of the game I have been saying the server room must be a crazy place this week!
  10. I wanted to chime in here, though I have not done the new Tactical yet, as I have been frustrated by the new Tactical/ story mode flashpoints for lack of "design". I have been here since pre-launch and I am sure others can back me up here but I believe Lost Island had received 3 nerfs since launch- again as others have pointed out that yes this was a serious FP (pre 55 gear) and sometimes referred to by some as a "mini" Op for it boss fights and mechanics. The new Tython/Korriban tacticals I felt were boring trash mob pulls and cookie cutter bosses; and felt Manaan was more to the point and much shorter so I didn't mind the uninteresting fights as much. Now I don't mind at all running a HM 50/55 FP that is challenging and fun but that is where I take my point from- I feel that they have not designed good flashpoints sm/hm since the original content when discussing these new tacticals. I welcome more "original" lost island flashpoints and original style HM's as I always welcome the challenge. Wanted to put my vote in for Red Reaper Hm, but must say colocoid not so much :-P
  11. This^^^, I forget about it all the time and I am more than able to solo any type of heroic but it is fun and a time saver
  12. While I am very excited about the fact a cantina tour is coming to Boston itself; and proud that SWTOR,BW and EA will have a presence there- I also must admit my dismay. I have been a subscriber since day 1 launch and always said that when the chance came to attend one of these within an hour drive I would; but the location of this cantina is very limiting for people to attend. Basically PAX East was sold out 154 days before the first day of the event; so for someone interested in a cantina in there local New England city there is not much of a chance to attend. Though that brings me to ask; is this particular cantina tour attached to the PAX East event weekend but not within its (ticketing) walls itself? I would be happy to know, I thank you for any additional information
  13. Congratulations! I wish you both the very best; I am jealous as Voss reminds me of autumn in New England
