your legacy was added to together from all your alts since launch, it has nothing to do with the latest legacy update or choosing a legacy name, all your chars have been contributing to your legacy lvl since day1, its server wide on all chars, i think how it works is 1 legacy lvl for every 10 character levels, so if you had 2 lvl 30's you would have lvl 6 legacy and get the free 30 days

my problem wasnt so much just giving it to level 50's it was that there was no prior notice, if they had emailed people a couple of days ahead of time then all the people like me(i have a 49/46/42/16) could have gotten to 50 in a couple of hours, but the way they did it was bad, people with characters that close to 50 didnt know until it was too late, but i do applaud them for responding quickly and fixing it, legacy is a better way to do it.

maybe but the free gametime is enough to make some people cancel their sub or not renew, those who are close to 50 anyway and have been here since day 1, my sub runs out on the 17th of april, i was planning on testing out 1.2 to decide of i want to resub, now i'm not gonn bother either way because i got shafted, had i known about the free gametime thing i could have reached 50 in an hour, but i get punished because i like to play alts and i'm not big on endgame

yes but its a gesture to only some customers, i have 3 chars 42,46,49, and 2 other alts, so i should be punished with not gettting this even tho i have been here since day 1 and i like to play alts? they should at least given people emails and a day or 2 to reach 50 for those who are close.

try doing your space dailies everyday/do every quest including bonus series on every planet this will make you slightly overlevelled for the quests you will be on and thsi will help you an enoromous amount, also asap get orange moddable gear and use your commendations on every planet to upgrade your mods in your gear, you only need 1 set of orange moddable gear and you can just upgrade that, then like others said its all about using which skills at the right time and you need to learn when to use interrupts properly, dont be afraid to expiriment with skill choices and respec a few times and it will eventually come to you, also you could join a guild and get advice and help with gear.

i have a lvl 46 sentinel and using juyo form and the watchman tree almost full, with the xtra points in the other 2 trees to gain the concentration and critical hit bonuses, i can use the juyo form/overload saber/zen skills to keep myself and the rest of the party healing about 50% of the time or more, overload saber adds burn damage to your next 3 attacks and juyo form heals your character on critical burn hit, but with zen enabled it heals the whole party and you critically hit 100% of the time with your burn attacks so when zen is active your overload saber turns any attack into a burn and it automatically critically hits and also heals you and the whole party, it has enabled me to solo quite a few heroic 2+'s don't be afraid to expiriment and respec a few times. also with force leap and force sweep you canb use a followup attack like pommel hit for great damage, you just need to learn what skills to use when, what skills stun/slow or root and what skills act as interrupts, as a sentinel you need to spam force leap to get in close.

damage is important, at least for sentinels it is, most of their skills hit with both sabers, and adding mods to the sabe4rs increases dps, so its not like a lot of games where the offhand weapon needs a special skill to have a chance of hitting, most skills that hit using the weapons hit with both
