  1. As a fan of small groups and teams, I would love this to be implemented. I'm not sure how you wanted it to be implemented, but I could deal with pet companion just providing back up, such as only doing base damage and maybe having one or two skills iconic to the character that are used at random (heals for healers, aggro grabbers tanks, bleed effects for dps, for example). As for affection gains, multiple companion affection gains (or losses) are already implemented on the ship, so something similar could be used. From a roleplayong perspective, I think this would be a dream for those who enjoyed the two squadmates providing banter back and forth system from Mass Effect. If this system were to be introduced, players would be able to feel like part of a team while the pet companion doesn't provide so much of a mechanical boost that it decreases the difficulty of gameplay. Wonderful idea. I truly do hope it goes somewhere.
  2. Great question. I've played the Shadow through the entire story line to 50 and found it fantastic. The voice acting fits, the story kept my attention most of the time, and the companions, although I thought some of them to be unfitting for a Jedi consular (giant lizard who wants to wear people's flesh as clothing, a scientist who looks down on mention and promotion of the force, and somewhat of an assassin who holds grudges), were not annoying most of the time, and some I really liked. I found it easy to flow through the game, though some parts around level 37 and 44 (consulars will know what I mean) were rediculously difficult. Most people will say the Knight is by all means better than the consular, but I stand by my opinion. You could also think about whether you want heavy armor or light, single bladed saber or double, a padawan who acts rebellious and rough at times or one who is sweet but forces you into sexytimes if you're not a jerk to her, ect. The role you want to play is important, too. If you want to tank, I'd suggest Guardian due to the heavy armor and up close and personal way of fighting. I've found a good set of combos the shadow could use for nice damage output. I've never played a tank shadow or a DPS Guardian, so I can't tell you what those are like. Anyway, that's my opinion, but no choice is wrong. Have fun with whatever you choose.
  3. When I played through it, I went to the companions tab and selected another companion. Did that not work, or did no one think about it?
  4. Good day everyone! Bioware did a great job with adaptive gear and, as I've heard, making it easier to get social gear. However, now that a lot more people will be wearing social gear, I think we could handle more in some future update. Maybe some armor that resembles each of the classes without matching that class exactly to help them keep their individuality, or a couple of different sets that seem to be light, medium, and heavy armor, which they already do have, but I think Bioware has the potential to further this. Again, kudos to you, Bioware.
  5. I played the story through full light side, so I can't help you there. However, I can help with companions. There are no dark companions, only really light and grey. He're my opinion. Qyzen Fess doesn't care if you do good things, but he'll like it if you choose to attack an enemy then kill said foe. Tharan Cedrax is somewhat selfish, so if you do things that benefit yourself, he's bound to like you. Zenith will love you. He's determined to get his way, even if it means violence. He likes web you kill people who deserve it and anything dark against the Empire. Felix Iresso wants to help people, so he probably won't like you too much. Nadia Grell is as light as you can go. You will only rarely get affection from her from doing dark things. They all are good people though, so light side will get most affection. So basically, they won't love you, but they will respect you, especially Zenith. Good luck.
  6. I agree in full with the OP. Now, I see people saying how people are already complaining about taking so long to get places. I remember back in SWG the planets seemed so huge that when my speeder broke down in the middle of nowhere, I was forced to explore. It always angered me so much that I had no idea where I was going, and I loved it! The vast landscape there made me love it. I can only wish Bioware will add something like that, since SWTOR's already a great game in the first place.
  7. Good day everyone! So one of my favorite activities in the game is to go to mobs that are near allied NPCs, grab aggro, bring them to the allies, reduce threat, and watch the battle. This is fun because neither side always wins. Sometimes your allies decimate the enemy forces, and sometimes you end up having to finish then off because your allies are dead. Now I'm sure many other people like to do this, and I thought maybe there are some battles that are more exciting than others, so I'd welcome all of the community to post videos of these exciting battles. Have fun!
  8. I'll be honest, I thought this was going to be a thread about the band... Fiiiiyuh!
  9. If we don't get that, I'd at least like some sort of Imperial military outfit for Lt Pierce instead of making him dress as a mercenary.
  10. Thanks for the response. I feel silly having to post two replies for it to happen, but it was worth it.
  11. So right now I'm focused on a scoundrel, but I really want Dr Lokin (because of dat rakghoul), so I'm wondering, how long would it take for a level 15 sniper to get to the appropriate level To get said Lokin and if it would be a hinderance to my Scoundrel's progression. Thanks in advance.
  12. A sage is a master of the force. No other Jedi class can use the force effectively long range or heal and you want to use your lightsaber? Might as well go any other Jedi class. Reasonable sages understand going into the class that they are masters of force combat and not that Starkiller " I have the strongest force powers while being able to take tons of damage and doing massive damage with my extremely effective dual reverse wield savers, lolz!" stuff. This is an mmo and thus you are a mage and your lightsaber is a wand you can whack someone with of they get too close. Don't mean to be harsh, but I've seen this rediculous and unreasonable complaint too many times and it's getting rather irksome. Completely disagree with OP.
