  1. Hello. If there are any other video people or actors who would like to help, I have an idea for a music video I'd like to make. It would basically consist of a some dancing scenes, some funny action shots, and just some cool strutting location shots along with a few other humorous touches. I would record video with UI turned off and need actors who can follow directions, and maybe some other video recording teams to capture some scenes if anyone desires. Finished product would be about 3 minutes. Stuff that I'm recording would be 9pm-12pm weeknights eastern time on Shadowlands. If interested, send an in-game message to Kairu-Jex with subject "Music Video". Thanks!
  2. Sorry PVPers. I agree, and for a few days, I actually started PVPing. Now, I'll just wait and get my PVE version. :/ Really something cool BW did, and then quickly became something lame they did. Give very exclusive rewards for different content to encourage people to play other parts of the game! A reskin is exlusive, but not very exclusive. All the different taun tauns and veractyles and dewbacks all look the same. All these different rancors are going to end up looking the same and not very unique now.
  3. Well, this i was expected, but still bad form. I say that as a hardcore PVE player. Since the Rancor mount was announced, I thought that was a super cool reward for PVPers. As someone who rarely PVPs, and has only have a set of conqueror gear, I've queued for warzones every day this week to get my daily and weekly comms, to get more gear so I can eventually work toward whatever exclusive mounts appear next season. However, with this news today, I'm quite sure I won't queue for PVP today or the rest of the week. I can just grab a Rancor mount when my raid group clears NiM. So, why bother participating in PVP? Bad move, BW. You should check your stats on how these two announcements have affected PVP queuing. I hate how this game tries to give everyone the same thing. Stop giving out mounts to everyone as gifts and stuff. Nobody wants to use a mount that every other player has. And you should stop making things exclusive to the game that you also just put a variation of on the CM for everyone to buy. People want to have exclusive stuff. As a PVEer, I don't mind in PVPer's get something I don't - or that I have to start working for if I want it. If you are just going to put everything on the CM, you might make money short term, but long term it is going to turn people off.
  4. Oh, since we're doing this, I'd also like to let everyone know I'm taking a week off from the game to do something else. I hope the devs don't mind!!! :|
  5. Just remember, if you give a man a fish, you can feed him for a day. But, if you give a man TWO fish, you can feed him for TWO DAYS!!
  6. My group took some time off around the holidays, so we're now working on NiM TFB and SNV. One boss left on TFB, and I think 3 on SNV. We're also still farming HM DP/DF each week for a few pieces and for alts. Otherwise, I'm slowly leveling one alt and gearing another. My downtime game right now is Kerbal Space Program.
  7. If it's cheap & not too technically challenging, it's E A / B I O W A R E Get in the game! Please!?
  8. That may be true, but you shouldn't do a qna where you only respond "too many resources" or "too challenging". It just comes off so negative and pessimistic. At least explain why and say what you are doing instead or express some enthusiasm for the game and it's direction. I mean, they even had someone ask a question about the technical challenges in the qna because that's all they kept answering with. How does that build excitement and anticipation?
  9. I hate this "that would be technically challenging" answer. Of course it is challenging - but making a good game is challenging! The question is, are you up to the challenge? You just released GSF, which I'm sure included some technical challenges. Now it's time to spend some resources implementing other things into the game. You know what else is technically challenging? Building new MMOs from the ground up that compete with SWTOR, BUT, other companies are doing it. That was the most negative Q&A from the dev team I've ever read. It makes it seem like the devs don't even like working on this game, and that there is nothing exciting and unique to look forward to? What sets SWTOR apart from other MMOs? The story, voice acting, setting, etc. Now, all that stuff requires too many resources to continue. Any new and exciting things to make the game unique are too technically challenging. So, what we can infer is that BioWare wants to give us a game that doesn't require them investing any resources, or doing anything technically challenging. What that translates to is more cartel market stuff, and generic story PVE updates that aren't specific to your class or your companions. Could BioWare paint a more bleak future for SWTOR if they wanted to? There is no excitement in the answers of that Q&A or any sense of anything to look forward to. Just "technically challenging" and "too many resources".
  10. Who cares? You're not special. Some other guy likes the event. It's not all about you. People need to stop whining so much.
  11. Since Revan is already in the game, and it obviously isn't you, why not just create a unique name? Never understood why people want to use names of established characters when they obviously aren't that person. Be original and create a new character who is interesting on his/her own merits. Not just "hey, look at me, I'm a Revan copycat!"
  12. Sorry, everyone. That wasn't an animal attack. I had a few too many "Holiday Specials" at the cantina on Alderaan and... well... later that night I got a little too "handsy" with Treek after my speeder ran out of fuel at King's Pass, and she rightfully put me in my place. Sigh.
  13. Yeah, personally I'd prefer they do it on British holidays. I missed the whole 2xp event over turkey day week because I was spending time with family. I remember thinking "who had the bright idea to make 2xp and bounty contract week events occur when most people are traveling?"
  14. Wow, I couldn't understand this at first, but then I had an epiphany! I think the OP is trying to say that 2XP event was given to players during the US holiday of Thanksgiving (50% of the player base being US according to OP), while a holiday like Christmas, which is observed around the world and not just in the US (100% of the player base according to OP), does not receive a 2XP event. If this was olden times they'd call me a prophet or something.
