  1. A lightsaber is essentially a battery thats focused through mutiple lenses, turning the energy into a plasma. Then the plasma is focus by the crystals (since plasma would destroy focus lenses), after that the high density plasma is sent through a emitter matrix (magnetic field generator) to keep the high energy from exploding and creating a bus size hole in the ground where you once stood. The emitter matrix is what also makes the plasma into the blade form. As the plasma is sent up for about a meter it heads back to the hilt towards the negative charged outer ring, which sends the energy back into the battery creating a circuit. -if you didnt follow that explanation, picture a lightsaber as a water fountain in the middle of a park. Positive plasma goes up the middle and cascades down on the outside back into the battery. (and yes that does mean lightsabers do run out of power eventually, and they have to be replaced with a new battery just like a blaster needs new energy packs) so nothing to do with the force or magic, just basic physics that even we can replicate now a days. Only problem is we don't have enough energy to plasma at will let alone handheld, and we don't have magnets strong enough to contain the energy.
  2. Actually anyone can learn R2's language (called Verbal Binary). Although at the time Luke doesnt understand it, over time he learns it. Anakin by episode 2 can completely understand R2 and doesnt need a translator (actually he might even know by episode 1 from working on droids so much, Ill have to watch Phantom Menace again)
  3. No the Deathstar couldnt destroy the ring because when it fired its laser it would go right through the opening in the middle. Thats the one flaw of the Deathstar, it has to hit everything in the middle.....oh and the one spot that if u shoot it with a small fighter the whole thing blows up.
  4. I think the reason for the inconsistencies is because most of the clone wars series is based around Anakin and Obi-wan. Rex is loyal to Anakin but as we saw when the other jedi took over in season 4, he will serve the republic first. Cody is friends with Obi-wan but he keeps to the code and still stays strict. Even in this show you still see clones complain about how the jedi operate. Only clones that i see make major emotional changes is the 501st (anakin's clones) and thats probably cause Anakin doesnt follow the jedi teachings and creates attachments. As for Anakin being a better leader in this series, I think it fits with the movies perfectly. In episode 3 Anakin is put on the jedi council, and dont think the rest of the jedi would agree to that unless anakin at least showed some leadership skills. Also war is Anakin's element so theres not reason for him to whine compared to him in meeting. -side note I believe Captain Rex is next to Anakin/Vader during Knightfall
  5. This has a lot of variables to it. First of all Mandalorians are in the same boat as the Jedi because anyone can be one. There's no official race to Mandalorian, it's more a religion (like the Jedi). One example being Jango Fett who was adopted into the group. Second point is that Mandalorians have proven to kill many Jedi; The Mandalorian/Jedi war (Revan's war), The capture of Jango fett (all of the Mandalorians were killed except Jango, but only about 10 Jedi survived and were lead by Dooku), and what people always forget is that Clonetroopers are as much Mandalorian as Jango. Although Vader helped, the clones killed tons of Jedi during order 66. Only reason Jango died was because he fought Mace Windu (the 3rd strongest Jedi of that time). Boba has also proven to hold his own against Vader for a decent amount of time.
