  1. Why do you think it offends some people? And it doesn't reduce damage, it causes more damage, for the reason stated in my previous posts.
  2. What have kids got to do with this? People who don't want sgr use the same old excuses time and time again. Someone please for the love of god give a convincing reason why there should be a toggle.
  3. I've got no problem with that. As long as they keep it to themselves.
  4. Treating other human beings with equality, respect, and understanding shouldn't have to be something you should be "convinced" about. It should be part of basic knowledge. If anyone wanting a toggle had put themselves in the shoes of a gay person, and really thought about what the implications are, what a toggle actually does, what message that gives to society, I'd be very surprised if they didn't come to the conclusion that is fundamentally wrong. As a gay man, what it says to me is that I'm unacceptable, that my views are worthless, that I should only exist in my little "gay" world where I won't upset others who don't like the way I was born.
  5. I guess, seeing as they are investing time and money, they could have done a little reading on it? And these people that are soooo peed off about sgr "suddenly appearing" could have looked at previous bioware games to see if they had any sgr in them? I mean, if the subject is so distasteful to them that they simply can't play a game with it in, you'd think they'd make sure it hasn't, or won't have. See!
  6. It was said before the game got released, sgr would be in the game.
  7. Lets assume that bioware reads the OP, and agrees that the people that are really mad about sgr should be able to turn it off. So they add a toggle. What if a group of people that really don't like women ask for a toggle? Or a group of people that don't like white people/black people? They get what they want? What about people who don't like overweight people? Tell me where you would draw the line.
  8. You seem really really angry. I find that when I'm getting worked up I try to see things from the other persons pov, and I then calm down a bit. You should try it:) I don't care if the OP changed their mind, and suggested other options. The original intent was to turn off sgr only. I know you keep defending them, telling everyone that they have suggested other options, that's not the point. It's a shame you can't see that. You don't need to explain to me, to make excuses for them. If the title said allow romance options to be turned off there wouldn't be this fuss. I don't even know why I'm trying to change your mind. At the endo of the day there's going to be no toggle, sgr will be in the game, and people that don't want it can just learn to ignore what they do not like.
  9. You can't make a thread called "allow sgr to be turned off" and not expect a reaction. Doesn't matter what is written after, the title is the statement of intent. The more I read these sgr threads, even on other game forums, the more I see the haters and bigots getting shouted down for their opinions. It's great to see. They are a slowly dying off, getting smaller and smaller each year. The reaction I get from these threads is not oh no, more haters, but wow look at all the people telling them they're wrong. I said it earlier, but I'll say it again, it's great to see.
  10. The flaw in your argument is that the title is asking for sgr to be toggled, not any romance to be toggled. Surely you can understand that? If the thread title was asking for romance to be toggled, ogr and sgr, it wouldn't cause half the outcry it has.
  11. It's a bit much to ask bioware to have a toggle for whatever anyone comes up with as something they don't want in their personal gameplay. You'd open the gates for anyone with a gripe. For instance, someone might object to scantily clad females, dancing in bars. Do they get to have a toggle too? Some things in this game, you will have to simply ignore, just like in real life. It's common sense.
  12. Too many people with something to say about how people live their lives. I'm so sick to death of reading it. Why can't we all just play the game and ignore what we don't like in it, but recognise that others do like it.
  13. Hi, I'm gay, and I'm part of a family:) Also, rating system is only worthless if parents dodge their responsibility.
  14. Religion is a personal choice, sexual orientation isn't. Also, if people are that religious, they would be offended by alot of other things in the game.
