1. What class did you roll? 2. Did you do every single quest on Tython? 3. Have you checked your inventory again? 4. Did you sell it by accident? Go check all the vendors' "buyback" tab. 5. Look at the top right of your screen. Does it say "pending"?

Only the daily missions give a large amount of exp. The combat itself does not. Furthermore, both drop rapidly as you increase in level.
