  1. Ummmm. It might be basic math, but you're wrong. Something having an average doesn't eliminate the fact it's random. If you flip a coin you have a 50% chance it lands on heads and a 50% chance it lands on tails. The result is still random chance. You could flip it 100 times and never get Heads, or get it all 100 times. The Average of 50% doesn't eliminate the randomness. The slot machines are random. One player may land a Rancor the very first time he plays and the guy next to him could spend weeks and never get one. Random is random even with a average win percentage.
  2. Can you quote any official source with either of these dates as a promise for the Cathar? Go ahead and link it here.
  3. Clearly you are. Or at minimum a bit misinformed. You can't. If you think a player in random greens will have their bolster equal EWH you are fooling yourself. The Dev's have alreay stated that the Bolster equals you out to the Recruit set. This is why they are removing the Recruit set from the game. Players in EWH will still have a big advantage over players in lesser gear. See the pertinent comment from the patch notes below:
  4. You must be skipping a ton of content to get that far off in your story-line quests. PvP is a great way to fill a little extra XP, but consider that at your level, you will be targeted and killed quite a lot. You'll have a hard time beating anyone 1v1 that is level 30+. So don't get too frustrated. Welcome to PvP. This is all about your level and the number of escape, distance closing and interrupt skill you are lacking. Sent's get very good at staying with people, but not till they are in their 30's at least. Win the match. You will get nearly the same XP as everyone else even if you play poorly.

    30-54 bracket

I don't see a problem. We already have a 10-49 bracket. So right now you have a 39 level gap in pre-50. 30-54 is only a 24 level gap. I wouldn't feel nearly as bad as a 54 hitting a 30 as I do as a 49 hitting a 10. At least by 30 you have the majority of your skills. And now that they are changing the bolster system to match gear and not level, it should give them a fighting chance. Right now a lvl 10 will never kill a lvl 49 1v1. A fully bolsterd 30 may have a shot at a normally geared 54.
  6. LOL! Funny. A typical player in their first set of PVP gear will normally have about 14,000 life. I have seen Smash hit for 8000, and routinely over 7000 for the ones spec'd to use it. If you think the ability to take over 50% plus of someones life in a single attack isn't a big deal, you must play as a smasher. I don't care about the toal DPS in a match they can pump out, AOE skews that. It's the percentage of total life they can remove in a single attack that is the problem.
  7. Nope. You can do 90% of the content without doing any PVP. People are just over-reacting.
  8. 1. Stuns/Pulls/Pushes/Slows/Knockdowns 2. Stuns/Pulls/Pushes/Slows/Knockdowns 3. Stuns/Pulls/Pushes/Slows/Knockdowns If you don't like to be taken out of combat constantly, pvp isn't for you.
  9. They have access to the same gear you do.
  10. I can't wait to try Elder Scrolls Online. It sounds like what you are looking for. Massive open world. Lots of end-game content. Player created gear that can contend with raid gear. 3 Faction PVP.
  11. 30k biggest hit. LOL Too funny.
  12. All classes get a healing companion. There is no set level to get your companions. It all depends where you are at in your story quest line.
  13. Damage does not equal effectiveness. You could have a Sin do half your damage but be far more effective in a fight. PT's get a lot of their total damage in splash and AOE.
