  1. I think this is the most logical way to sum up the debate. Some will argue the mechanics themselves are the hard part or the ability of more people to handle said mechanics are. I think there is a fine line between the two but it is there. I think if top 8m guilds could duplicate their players and go into 16m fights it wouldn't be near as bad as if they recruited 8 more players to tackle the same stuff.
  2. I think last month everyone already knew this.
  3. I admittedly haven't done 16 man I only read from those that do. You say you have done both but are arguably a pro 16 man point of view on this matter. You said over and over that coordinating 16 people is where the challenge lies. So it can be said that the 8m encounters are at a very least on par with the 16m ones tuning wise with the edge in practical difficulty being harder in 16m due to logistical reasons.
  4. Like I said, "right out of the gate" they put a ton of resources into the leveling experience and rightfully so. Now that they have the chance to put more focus on end game stuff I will be patient and see if they make the raids a bit more enthralling. I have a feeling NMM will kick our butts the first few weeks its out so that will keep (most) raids in there for more than a few hours a night.
  5. Asking "are they everything you hoped they would be" is a loaded question. This is still sort of the beginning right? Try not to be too critical of their raid content yet. Last tier did have the amount of bosses you want but split over two instances. For them getting right out of the gate I don't mind the content so far. Also, NMM hasn't been released yet so lets see if that difficulty gives players a new challenge.
  6. I have to say you stuck your foot in your mouth here. If the damage is exactly the same between the two difficulties, and you have twice the people to heal but also twice the healers to manage the healing it should even out. This in no way lends credibilty to 16 > 8. I might agree with you if you didn't specifically quote dealing with Gift. In that phase everyone should be semi coordinated in where they are going for cover/healing recieved so no variables exist between the two that change anything.
  7. After clearing 8m HM with a sorc healer with me I can definitely say trying to do Kephess with 2 BH healers is insane. I can't say it's impossible but I had a tough enough time with a really good sorc helping me.
  8. Complaining about the difficulty of EC 8m HM when you bring 2 BH healers is a testament to bad raid comp. Who in their right mind would bring that?
  9. You laugh, but it accomplishes what everyone is asking for. An instant shot that can be used if melee are harassing you.
  10. Isn't that the truth for everyone though? Even pre 1.2 if you faced a good, organized team BH healers aren't going to hit those kinds of numbers. So your argument about facing bad teams is not really proving anything. Whether it be pre 1.2 or 1.2 now if you face a bad team you can put up good numbers and if you face a skilled team you won't do so hot. That's kind of stating the obvious imo.
  11. I'll give you that. BH healers are a good bit behind other healing classes but they can be and thats fine (for pve purposes), because this game doesn't offer hard enough content that requires you to min/max to the point of bringing the most OP classes to down the content. Yes it's rough if you were used to pre 1.2 but it's very doable for every encounter they offer right now.
  12. Because this contributes to the OP? Form a thought please. Like maybe make a proc that initiates an instant Power Shot? Something a bit more thought out would do...
  13. How is it a fallacy when the bottom performers of that 5% you mentioned (in a perfect BW game situation), would technically be labelled the worst performing. Min/maxers would still use that as a reson to re-roll if the content was hard enough to warrant such a move. Also, since there is currently NOT the 5% scenario you mentioned my point is valid and still stands.
  14. Cause all of us acting like children screaming for attention is the answer? No thanks.
  15. There will always be, numbers wise, a "weakest class" in the game. If there wasn't everyone would do the same dmg and same healing and nothing would be interesting. That's exactly what we don't want, class homogenization. My comment wasn't meant to be clever, just fact. If you're skilled you can and will continue playing a BH healer and continue to see and clear all end-game content this game has to offer. If you're not, then you will get frustrated and go play something with a lower skill cap, or threaten to unsub or what-have-you. Nobody is blaming you, but there are people still playing this class at end game and doing it well. Obviously my point of view is pve and not pvp.
