  1. I've been asked about the raid thing. I raided in EQ for several years on a top-end guild doing edge content as a tank on the RP server. I was a raid tank in LOTRO, GW2, and kinda ESO. I was raid DPS in SWTOR through the Hutt expansion and then I quit playing SWTOR in 2013 for 7 years until January 2020. At this point I prefer to describe myself as "retired" when it comes to Raid content. I don't mind helping out occasionally as dps or even as a tank, but frankly I'm content to just rest on my laurels in that regard, and hang out and get achievements and learn the various MM flashpoints and maybe even try to get a iittle better at PvP. I did enjoy doing team PVP back in 2012 and 2013, but even that has changed significantly, just doing death arenas get old fast. Now if I could do Voidstar or other objective driven teamplay that way it would be more fun. But I never was "all that". I think it was a nice synchronicity that I got back into playing this right before social isolation hit with the pandemic; I've had time while working at home to be able to level up my toons to 75 and get them all geared.
  2. thank you for your post; it is appreciated. I shall go look at the information on the guild. until such time, all time be time...
  3. I have 20+ characters, roughly split between Republic and Imperial factions. All are i306 and have some kind of set. I am looking to move guilds, and am looking for guild(s); here are some of my parameters: a) I'm perfectly willing to go with two completely separate guilds, but it would be nice if they were affiliated: a) Weekly large conquest boxes are a requirement, I run 50,000 conquest on each of my Avatars every week. b) A decent guild name, i'm surprisingly picky about this. e) Casual play overall, I like to do flashpoints, solo stuff, a touch of pvp, and the rare operation, but none of these are dealbreakers f) I cannot commit to a raid format. g) Adult Mature decent folks, but not a "family" PG guild; basic good-natured cussing should be allowed. But adolescent guilds or guilds which are misogynistic or allow hate speech are not acceptable. h) I myself am over half a century, play during the day on what would be considered East Coast Time, U.S., rarely on evenings. Feel free to leave me a private message or a response here.
  4. Won't be renewing subscription in August if this isn't fixed.
  5. i won't be renewing my subscription at the end of August if this thing isn't fixed.
  6. Saboteur is so much fun to play. i just leveled a scoundrel and an operative to 75 using the middle spec and it was the easiest leveling ever, lazy-man style. I like to call it "the annoying spec". I get a lot of hate in PvP from opponents due to this spec. And it works fine in sub-75 content, which is nearly all of the game. It works fine in both vet and master mode flashpoints. It doesn't have the highest dps, and on any other metric it doesn't show up so well either. Except this, it is fun and wild and annoying to others, and practical enough to function. Re-experience the joy of playing and give up worrying about if you can eek out another 0.37% to your lethality parse. Captain Eo
  7. I don't want it to show up at all, and I certainly don't want it lingering on my screen.
  8. Someone please tell me there is a way to make this thing go away without it cluttering up my screen in the middle of stuff and forcing me to open up to the whole conquest window and then close *that* to get it off the screen every time. Grrr.
  9. a) The cathar look bad. their fur looks painted on, and their markings look like tattoos, and the design of them is poor. The "hair" styles are poor, and one wonders what the deuce is with that, anyway. Color and pattern selections for cathar don't even cover a fraction of real cat patterns. b) the new long hair for humans looks bad, and is rendered poorly. c) I have no intention of paying for new content as a subscriber, beyond the "expansions". But ALL of the fun cool stuff is coming via the Cartel Market these days. Pay much RL cash or do without the best looking armors, weapons, pets, speeders ---- the list goes to everything in the game. d) Preferred in this game is terrible. You can't even buy up using RL money to make it similar to a subscriber nearly as well as you can in Lord of the Rings Online, and LoTRO lets you earn their freaking store points by doing in game deeds, if nothing else. I'm not gonna wait around and play second fiddle to people who spend oodles of RL money in the Cartel Market. I'm unsubscribing after I make this post, and going to go play something else. Congratulations, EA, you've managed to drive away a die-hard SWG and general Star Wars fan from your poorly designed and horribly implemented game. I had even put money into the cartel coins at the beginning because I wanted to support continued development. After seeing the 2.0 series of updates, I think I have a pretty good handle on where that is going, and I don't think I want any part of it. Greedier gobs, and less and less actual fun stuff just for subscribing that's where it's going. Sayonara.
  10. I'm so disgusted by this that I'm seriously considering going to back LoTRO until either Elder Scrolls or WoD MMOs come out.
  11. *His respawn is probably broken and has never been fixed. I doubt it's intentional. * NO NO It's Intentional! Don't You Understand, the Evil Ones sit around at EA and stick NEEDLES into little PLAYER Voodoo Dolls while Cackling as they Sneer at the Hapless Subscribers! .......
  12. No, oh OP, there is not enough content on Makeb to get you to 55. About 53.5 is right, if you do each quest once, including the dailies on each mesa, all the side quests, and the full storyline. EA thinks because they give out experience like candy everywhere, and don't make it a challenge, that this doesn't matter. You can do Black Hole and Section X dailies, and a couple of flashpoints and get to makeb at level 53 easily. It's kinda sad really, because you'd hope that you had to do every last scrap of content in order to drag yourself across the 55 mark by your fingertips, but they haven't done this from the start so why should they begin to now? If I had my way you'd have to do every single quest on every single planet, including bonus series, and 1 round of every single heroic, flashpoint, space mission, and warzone in order to make it to 50 (55). If you failed to do this you'd have to grind mobs and/or repeat content. But no. it's a cakewalk.
  13. this needs to be seriously fixed, and EA needs to respond to the issue
  14. Don't run around in greens, and be in at least 63s by this point - if you are not you are seriously undergeared. all purple 63s/66s would be better, honestly, which you can get by running flashpoints. The mechanic for picking up a rod and throwing it at the generator could be a bit more explicit. I've had too many people say "i get the rods, but i can't blow the generator". I've done the storyline 3 times now. At this point the isotope droid and the archon are walks in the park, if you have a healing companion, and if you know how to occasionally hit the "passive" button on your companion.
