  1. obviously you have no skill in pvp because both gunnery and assault are both fine each is it's own play style.
  2. Because all I ever wanted was another title among my list instead of all the buggy content being fixed. Please Bioware fix the broken content before adding more broken content.
  3. You are all looking strictly at damage and rotations. There are many more factors in which spec you want to go as in pvp. I have seen both Gunnery and Assault do amazing dps. I chose Gunnery because I prefer the control it gives vs the increased mobility of assault. Also don't forget about set bonuses. I run gunnery with 2 pvp and 2 pve set items on the gunnery tree. 15% increased crit rate for grav round is amazing not to mention a 15 second cooldown on concussion charge. 15 seconds on concussion charge with a second smaller knockback is amazing. What is more, Full auto is an AMAZING crowd controlling ability for the gunnery tree as it slows target movement. I do admit that I have problems once in a while with holding channeled spells or being interrupted during grav round however the amazing burst that I can put out makes up for it. I am not saying that assault isn't a good pvp spec. I have tried it and love the survivability and mobility that it provides. However I usually run with a premade containing a healer and this allows me to sit and turret for amazing damage. As gunnery I am usually top 3 in damage every game (huttball excluded because I play huttball correctly). For those of you about to flame me for having a "pocket healer" or faceroll strategy, this game isn't meant to be played solo, pvp has been designed to require teamwork and teamwork is what our guild does. We win 95+% of our matches often against others even more geared than ourselves.
  4. My guild was having this same problem but we seemed to have found a solution that works every time. Always make sure that the southern pillar solves each row before the northern pillar and it will never glitch.
  5. Not to mention a huge expansion on Tuesday, only a month after release...
  6. It doesn't have to be orange to be moddable. All the endgame sets have set bonuses and mod slots. Why do you need them to have an orange background to be cooler than the others?
  7. Please keep companion characters!! It adds an interesting twist on pvp. It would be nice to have some different things going on in ilum than we get in all the pvp warzones.
  8. I can't stand alacrity as a dps trooper because of ammo. I would rather do slower big hits and keep my ammo than spamming quick weaker shots.
  9. For me it seemed that I couldn't use courting gifts until her affection was high enough to even consider kissing her. You will get hints from dialogue queues of when courting gifts will start being effective. Once they are, they are the best gifts to give her.
  10. If ammo is the ONLY driving force for this I might agree however commando gunnery dps is not so much rotation based as priority. I always use full-auto when I have curtain of fire but my opener is usually GR GR GR DR HS GR HIB. but this goes away after I open. From then on I use what is required to keep my armor debuffs on the enemy and build up GR stacks for HIB. I hammershot every time I get within 1 ammo from losing my full recharge speed. When it comes to leveling there isn't really any set rotation cause most mobs die to quickly to warrant building a rotation. I found if I was having problems with groups I would just CS the silver elite and let my ammo reload after getting rid of the trash before I break his cc.
  11. You have a few ways to get out of melee range without jumping back like a huntaaar. Gunnery commandos have one of the best aoe knockbacks in the game and that also allows stockstrick to turn into a small knock back. Use the terrain, if you are up high knock them down and pound them. If you are faced with operatives the moment you are CC'd you should immediately pop the cc breaker and throw up your reactive shield and adrenalin rush. Ops hit hard right out but lose it pretty quickly. If you think you have a chance to defeat them throw down your stealth scan just in case they try to disappear and run away. Ops also have a spammable instant cast cooldown when they are below 30% health so you need to stun them when they are low to finish them off.
  12. Don't forget to use the No Retreat ability. This will cool your cryo grenade instantly giving you that extra cc you need to finish the fight. It's also not about only doing damage, don't forget to use your defensive cooldowns, reactive shield adrenalin rush etc. I usually use both at the same time to try and regain as much hp back as possible. Line of sight enemies to get that extra few seconds to throw off a heal or two. If you are gunnery and the target is melee, when you hit your knockback run away during your global cooldown then turn and full-auto to slow them down and prevent them from catching up to you.
  13. I did the same thing. 2 Champion pieces and now I realize I had purchased the Vanguard gear instead of the Commando Eliminator gear. I put in a ticket and fully expect to have my gear exchanged.
  14. I agree completely with this plan. Fix switfsure please.
