  1. "What are your expectations from applying to this guild? Instant answer is simply: To get better. I would love to have that team feel back when I log into the game, also. I know you've posted in the forums a few times about wanting to gain more operative healers so I decided to finally apply. Honestly, I have more to gain from being given a chance to join your guild than you all have to gain from giving me that chance." Remember this Xest? Seems like somebody just wants to belong. Not sure why you assumed getting a try out with Casual put you on their level. Seeing as you listed some ****** players as good Operative healers, that being the class which you play, it shows that you either set really low standards or are incapable of evaluating skill levels. Oh and I still get a kick out of that line you wrote about being humble.
  2. This comp has serious holes in it. Take a wild guess where
  3. The largest issue I find with this argument is that Primary stat comparisons vs. Expertise bonuses is largely a 1v1 argument. This is valid for the player on the off point fighting a 1v1. In large scale main battles, rarely are players taking damage from 1 source, and their is absolutely zero question whether the power stat on the DPSer getting nuked in the middle is more beneficial at that moment then expertise. Healers and tanks are more likely to get away with expertise drops, as are "backline" style dpsers. I'll add that having a larger HP pool really makes a difference when it comes to surviving execute range. The top end health is fluff.

  5. This. Exactly this. As a guild leader, I can promise you that every other guild leader and officer in any game CRAVES players like this. That fire sustains players and drives them to improve is the same fire that binds a team. People respond to sacrifice and effort, and when your comrades can see you putting in the time and effort, the effect magnifies. As Komissar said. The players you hear barking about greatness will never be the ones you should be aspiring to be like. They point at their moment of glory (screenshots) and tell tales of their exploits (wins), but that very mindset lives in the past. If you are always looking behind you, you cannot see where you are moving forward. This is why these players always stagnate. You cannot sustain "greatness" unless you are constantly adapting to how the scenario changes. This is why great pve guilds rarely perform greatly in pvp. PvE is a script. It doesn't change. PvP is borderline organized chaos requiring endless adjustments and action/reactions fit to the specific situation. If you find yourself "suffering" all the "bads" consider for a moment that the reason many people don't play well with you is that you might be damned difficult to play with. Unfortunately for some people, PvP is actually a two way street where what YOU do and what OTHER PEOPLE do interact. It really isn't about the individual. Whoa be to the player that realizes the problems with the outcomes they achieve might be a result of their own efforts, or lack thereof, more so then the efforts of others nearby.
  6. Yeah, I am getting dropped every 10 minutes or so.
  7. I agree, when Komissar pays attention to what's going on, that is.
  8. Old Republic War isn't there yet, but I wouldn't count us out for long.

  10. ORW is still around. So is super goombas. Their remaining members are wearing ORW tags now though.
  11. How did whyspr get mentioned in a topic about top pvpers? Might as well call Solunar good if you are going to make that claim.
  12. I would say puddle spec is a free kill. When it's used well, bubble stun is a nuisance at best. If your teams dps is smart, they pop it from range, and pressure the other team so they can't abuse it. Worst case scenario, bring your own bubble sorc. With how much burst can be laid out in this game at this point, it's a necessary evil to balance out some of the more ridiculous comps. Sure, it sucks to be the guy eating the bubble stun, but it's pretty easy to make that a two way street.
  13. Bubble stun helps mitigate smash stacking, it has a place in the game. And it helps teach your dps to focus fire. It's amazing how little time hostile sorc's get to bubble everything when your DPS forces them to actually heal.
  14. Start small. It's not a fast process, but it has been done before. It will grow on its own as long as it has a cornerstone to grow from. And yeah, lots of people are willing to offer advice, and yeah, not all of them should be listened to. Good quote for this: "There is something that is much more scarce, something rarer than ability. It is the ability to recognize ability." - Robert Half
