  1. I cannot find now who stated that (someho the original post disappeared?): Remember that the managers answer to other managers, who eventually answer to the Board of Directors, who in turn answer to the investors, who demand that EA keeps its share price up, which generally requires EA to not make 'poor' investments (or at least, not too many 'poor' investments)... which is the sad truth about every aspect of our lives, gaming included. It is the sheer GREED of the "investors" that prevents developers from unleashing their creativity, because "shareholders want return" Question is WHY those investors want those returns? Don't they have ENOUGH already? Otherwise HOW would they even try to pay for the development of such trivial thing as pixels on computer screen? if I was so obscenely rich that I could afford funding game development, I would primarily expect it to be FUN game, A fun for everyone who decides to play it and immerse themselves in it. My personal financial gains would be tertiary (or even smaller concern) because I would like to see people enjoying the game! That would be the desired RETURN, Not some coins flowing into my account! Some things cannot ever be paid by money, But the world is constructed differently, and THIS is the problem of our game. And our planet.
  2. I have started the "Old wounds" part on one of my characters and... I found myself NOT remembering what was it all about. Long cinematics, running around, trying to remind myself where at the whole story actuall am I, but it was all like a dream that you know you had, but cannot remember any details when you wake up. The point is that the whole "Malgus saga" is so incredibly scattered and published so rarely that it is simply hard to remember what was its main issue - that's how detached the players become! You do not remember what was your character doing, hwat was his/her goal in the whole story, because it all happened a year or 2 ago and in the meantine, you had few "seasons", events and whatever else to actually keep players away from doing the ADVENTURE! Not to mention that all Manaan and Voss parts are just an incredible drag and super slow "expansions", where you need to constantly fight mobs, all day/night round or even clean Gormak cantina. Yep, the Allmighty Outlander who killed the Biggest Bada Boss in Whole Galaxy (along few other nasty creatures), needs to grab the broom and put the dirt aside, because...reasons. Exactly the reason I did not even start the newest "expansion" because it repels me, to spend my valuable time on removing pixels from screen every 5 seconds and seeing no progress whatsoever. The worst is however the fact that Biosford is throwing all those "events" on us without any planning as it seems. GS5 and PVP S4 happened the same time, along with "LifeDay" and some other regulars. And not that long AGO after GS4 has finished! Can we have some breaks between these, so we can actually play the the content and not run like rabbits from one task to another?? Anyone remembers class stories? How neatly were they placed, how different they were? These were the ESSENCE of the game, we could follow the story and we KNEW what was it all about, on each class and each story. Currently, with that ignorant "unification" of all classes into one "Outlander" the stories make little sense and are totally inconvincing and easily forgettable. I had no issues remembering each of my characters "story location" in the base game, but after Valkorion, I just lost it, because ...it does not matter anyway, I will end up cleaning another cantina with my Galactic Superhero... becuase no one can actually invent a meaningful story for our characters.
  3. While the Vet mode is obviously more challenging, I think, the issue lies elsewhere. I figured that whichever Chapter I have to do and my "story" companion is not on level 50 (that's majority of cases) it causes heavy issues because they die like flies and are unable to help with healing. (not to mention tanking!) The mechanic is clearly broken, because if you survive the initial fights in any chapter, the situation starts to improve and suddenly the companion "gets more brains" and avoids enemy attacks or heals themselves/me more effectively. I have experienced that few times, and usually the remedy is to re-start the chapter. And btw I rarely attempt to do Vet content without improved gear (334/336/higher).
  4. They will be directly available for purchase till Jaunary 6th 2024, (if I remember correctly). With weekly rotation of colors. Regarding "December" - what did you think? BioSword employes also need to buy their Christmas gifts
  5. ...while I vehemently disagree with said policy to put the new and (literally) shiny items into a lottery with miniscule winning chances, I gues we all need to see this situaion a bit differently. This is a PRODUCT. An ITEM that a company 'produces" in order to make profit (and pay hefty bonuses to its bosses and shareholders - but not to employees). Think about it as spare blades for Gilette or Wilkinson shavers, think about it as its printer toner or even Nespresso capsules. Companies sell the main product with reasonable pricing but they go bananas with the spare parts. This is exactly the same case. The ONLY difference the hypercrates make is the gambling. When you buy coffee capsules or razor blades, you KNOW exactly what you're buying and for what price. Here you don't and it's simply WRONG. I expect the initial pricing of those dyes will be about 4-5 K CMCs. So, only the whales will buy them directlly. Funny enough they would not be able to make obscene credits on GTN with them, due the sales price cap and new tax. I think I have bought a CM crate last time when they introduced those "hypercrates" and after utter disappointment, never spent a dime on them. If people stop buying these "chance cubes" (again, with minimal chance to win anything valuable) maybe that would teach the bosses about making business. but NOTHING would pay better than new content for each class separately.
  6. " The transfer of some high value items through mail or direct trade is subject to a credit fee based on its value, paid by the sender " I think people misread this line. The meaning here is that it is NOT your standard 8% tax, but another one, based on "avergaed market value" on all servers. (or any other "valuation" construction they used). But whatever it is, it works, because the intention was NOT TO allow people to sell items for obscene prices. That is all. And now we hear crying about it.
  7. Also confirming the issue. The previewed part of armor lasts about 3 seconds and resets to whatever currently the character is wearing. Impossible to preview more than 2 parts of the outfit, without resetting.

  9. My brief experience on the new test server has been very limited. Since I am EU player, I experience heavy lag. I did not ping it, however te time between my click and actual movement is about 3-4 seconds. Not feasible for any competitive play, particularly PVP. I went to a planet or 2 and could cope with class missions, but I cannot imagine all that lag being helpful in testing anything. So I am happy that APAC players have their chance, but for EU players it's not practical.
  10. 1. Get rid of all those "WZ-accelerants", "FP-whatevers", "Conquest coins", all that stuff. You have a perfect currency in game that are CREDITS. Make gear and all items purchasable by credits. Make it more expensive as the level rises. 2. Bring back the retired armors, weapons, whatever - make it expensive in CREDITS - those who will want it will pay for them. 3. Tax heavily GTN prices above certain level. 4. Tax player-to-player trades. 5. Indeed, create something that the multi-billionariries would be tempted to buy. DO NOT make the quick travel payable - you will only hurt the poorest.
  11. Adjustments to repairing: Do you find yourself having to repair more or less often? Not really. When you repair, does the cost increase seem significant or fair? A little bit, yes. Adjustments to travel: Do the Quick Travel costs seem fair? Do you think this will affect your usage of Quick Travel? NO. This should remain free as long as the player has acquired all possible perks via legacy tab. Adding extra costs to this will harm those who are at the early stages of the game. Are there travel costs that you currently find to be too little or too much? To me, they are insignificant, but I believe there will be many who will complain. Again, this feature should remain free of costs. Are there methods of travel that have no cost that you would expect to have a cost? NO. More general feedback: The PTS character transfer has effectively killed all my outfits and strongholds. Not sure that was intended, yet it has no influence on game play only for Quality of Live PVP attitude did not change much, I have seen folks offending others from match one, quite openly. But I guess some folks will never learn tish is just a game. The keyboard warriors and snowlfakes are everywhere. It seems the Alderaan map looks bit more sharp and the shadows work really well. Adding cost to the basic game functionality is not the solution. The solution is to get rid of the ridiculous credit pricings on GTN sold items. I know people will scream at me, but the solution is simple: Make pricing limits! State that listing an item above 1 Billion credits is going to be taxed of 90% of the sale. Simple as that. Folks will stop making ridiculous offerings. You can be greedy, but you cannot be obscene, and if you are then you pay obscene tax.
  12. I actually only realized they added new decos and weapons on January the 3rd! i was completely uninterested in this venet since nothing new came for years. And suddenly a bunch of interesting things. While I had the whopping 16 parcels hanging from the 1st Life Day season, I could manage to get the new hat, the auto-cannon and lightsaber in matter of 3 days. (which counts for 84 parcels received) Did not use the balls cannon, only was throwing balls ( ) by hand. On 3 or 4 characters. Literally on everything that was eligible to throw, I discovered that if I was in particular area and hit everything "hittable" in that viciity, there was no way I could get any more parcels, so I moved to the farthest possible region from there and started again. Also FPs, PVP and any other place, were graciously giving few parcels extra. So, I guess I was lucky?
  13. I have noticed that after reaching level 100 on 1st server, and level 80 on the 2nd server, the count of completed missions is wrong. On my main server, currently I am at 85 missions done. Since GS3 start, I have finished all 7 weeklies and all "daily missions" each week. I had no breaks, no cut-offs, whasoever. To my surprise, on a 2nd server, where my characters are less of number and sort of "basic" and have max level 62 and where I have NOT been able to complete all 7 weekly missions each week (due to character level or story advancement or lack of time) and I am NOT on level 100, the count of "missions done" is ..90. What gives????? It seems when I have done less, with less effort, it counts higher than on the 1st server. Not to mention the Reputation that is also higher on 2nd server than on my "main" server. Anyone knows what is going on with this? Or it is another bug??
  14. Well, on contrary to the OP I have very mixed feelings about 7.2 and new planet. Yes, it is very beautiful, with a lot of details and nice environments. The story itself may only be of any relevance to non-Force characters, but for all the Wraths. Noxes, Barsenthors, et consortes, it is a triffling matter and if not for Sahar, they would not be involved at all. Some "turf wars" between whatever mercenaries. But ok, that is still acceptable, even with that "sonic weapon" stuff. But the mechanics and THE MAP on Ruhnuk are... just a nightmare! Playing the "after story" missions on non-stealth character is a major pain. What game is this now, a Pacman? Narrow tunnels with strong mobs literally everywhere and complete lack of world overview on the map! It is just so annoying that I cannot position my character " in the world" bcause if i am in Excavation Site, I cannot see the bigger map of whatever else and then do not know where was the "whatever maintenance tunnel" located. That is particularly annoying for all the "Relic Hunt" missions which are just a mess. Long, boring (due to Pacman) and clueless. So the "Manaan tendency" is just continued and even more expanded, because you hardly can skip any mob group. Not to mention the gearling is still incredibly incomprehensible for me. I did not bother with it since 7.0 started and i am not going to bother with it at 7.2. I will start bothering when ANY character will be given progress on the gear when doing missions and stuff and not getting hundreds of types of currencies to exchange. So, that was 7.2 for me.
