I don't see any other posts about this, so something must be wrong on my end. The launcher greys out and gives me this message after about three seconds when I open it.

I'm just wondering if this will be an actual 'expansion", and not just another interactive cut scene. I'm talking with a fully realized new planet(s), etc. And having Kira back woudl be nice too. I'm tempted to use the console on Odessan, but i don't want to skip over any story events where my companions might return on their own.

I didn';t liek it when I first heard about it, and to a degree i still don't, but I now understand why they did it. SInce planetary heroics are now the main end-game grind for rewards and influence for your followers, they couldn't have you be able to go back to nar Shaddah at level 65 and one-shot everything. I also understand now why they had to simplify companions, because there are so damn many of them. There would be no way to keep up with gearing them all. But, i still hate how they are all basically clones except for the looks. They all can serve all three purposes. Lame.

Gotta love it, someone starts a lecture thread intended to be inflammatory to certain people, and ends it with a "flame away" insult, suggesting if you have a problem with his post you have some kind of disorder. And then starts asking someone how old they are, while their behavior from the get-go is immature. Ah, forums.

As we have been experiencing in real life, "change" is not automatically a good thing, as many have been brainwashed into believing. I only logged in for a few minutes so far, hate what they did to companions. gearing my companions was always one of the things I liked about the game. Hate the auto-scaling, and general dumbing down of everything in this update.

I don't care for any of the crystals with black in them either. They don't look like sabers, but maybe that's just me. I guess they're running out of standard colors that look like a light saber at this point.

That didn't save a few of my characters' names the last time they did it, and it was from people being moved TO my server.

I couldn't believe it when I saw a full set of 192 companion gear as a reward for a simple weekly. I was wondering if this was WAI, but apparently so. All the work that some put into gearing up companions with basic comm186 gear, now you can get a full set of 192 for a half-hour's work. i haven't seen the look of the non-droid companion gear yet, if it looks dumb I'll probably stick with what I have on them anyway. BTW, is there a decent vibro-knife for HK available as a reward yet anywhere?

I just noticed that i had mounts that were not showing up in my decoration list, even after this 3.1 patch that fixed this problem. The Rendii Watchman and Ubrikkian Hunter are in my mount collection, but don't show up in the decoration list. They say 0/0 in the list of all mounts.

You gotta love these snarky, smug, inane posts from various ********s, demeaning the valid complaints of those who were just screwed over by this change. The early subscribers who just drained every credit they had on training, to have it made free for everyone else a few days later, with little warning. I just learned about it in the patch update. Hopefully there will be enough of a demand for a credit refund to make it happen. They have the records of what you spent credits on, and the amount it cost for your class to upgrade skills from 56 to 60. So make it happen. I don't sit on this game 60 hours a week grinding credits, crafting, and playing the GTN. SO credits are a valuable commodity for most of us.

I found this announcement from about 3 months ago, and was wondering if there has been any news on this since then. I can't find any more info. I'm waiting for this to take advantage of the 50% discount deal to do some character transfers.

The annoying term "pay 2 win" is meaningless to me. The only possible way it could be valid is if it is required to buy something extra to progress in the game, outside of normal f2p fees for content, or in addition to your regular subscription fee for VIPs. But I have never seen such an instance in any game. And you don't "win" anything in these games either, you only progress. Despite the ability to group, it's based on a solo experience, and one's achievements or how they achieve them, have no affect positively or negatively on another's. I guess if there were some kind of PVP tournament for actual real life prizes, and buying from the market could give you an advantage, that would also qualify, but I've never seen such a case either.

So apparently black/black dye is yet another unobtainable holy grail, nothing on the GTN, can't craft them, and an apparently microscopic chance of getting them in the gambling packs. True, there would be a majority of players wearing all black if they were easy to get, but it still sucks. Most of the combos are ugly IMO, bright colors aren't my thing. The red/black looks OK though.

I decided to buy a bunch of MK-4 kits since they are relatively cheap, and augment all my gear and a couple companions, after adding slots to about 8 pieces of gear, it stopped working. It still wouldn't work after relogging. I have the kits and credits, and it gives no warning message or reason of any kind why it wont accept the purchase. Any ideas? Edit: NVM, I figured it out. For some reason you have to unequip the companion gear to add a slot.
