Hello all. I've been here on these forums for a long while now, but I thought I'd kick off my thread creation with a suggestion. This aesthetic issue has been bothering me for quite some time. I'm sure others have noticed this as well.
Look at this picture of my guardian:
Running Pic
The back of his robe flows very nicely while moving and really helps with immersion for me in this game. BUT, it's instantly dimmenished if I turn the camera to the side or the front. The front of his robe is such a rigid material in the physics engine and is connected on either side to his legs. His left leg is actually clipping through it here.
Even worse is this next image.
Sitting Pic
It stretches and becomes distorted; on certain armors, making the texture nearly unrecognizable. This chest piece is a solid color, so the distortion isn't as bad... still bad though. It shouldn't be doing that!
So here's my suggestion: Make the front of robes (and other armor with the same aesthetic attributes) the same material as the back of robes and clip them from the legs so that the physics engine will allow them to flow freely with movement.
**I would also like to see other aspects of robes flow freely as well such as the hood.
Would adding something like this even be possible? I can see how this would be a lot of work considering how many armor pieces are in the game, having to edit every single one of them. If it's not feasible to do this on all of them, how about editing a select few such as end-game and select ones for leveling and/or adding completely new armor pieces with these attributes to the game.
