    Whatever they tell me
  1. So, I'm a Guardian spec'ed Guardian (way to flex the ol' creative muscle, BioWare) and I know as such I'm never going to do a ton of DPS but I see other tank types doing 150k+ and unless all they're doing is spamming the hell out of whatever AoE attacks they have, I am at a loss how they can reach those #'s. The most I've ever done was in the 1-49 bracket at around 90k. Generally I'm around 50-60k in the lvl 50 bracket. This wouldn't be so bad but as a tank I expected to be able to take more of a beating w/o someone healing me. As it is I'm doing low dps and dying as fast as a non-tank class. Do I spec Guardian but equip DPS gear? Do I spec dps but equip tank gear? Is it even worth being a tank in PvP as a solo player? Right now I'm in full defensive PvP gear, mostly recruit gear with battlemaster relics and lightsaber. Don't tell me I have to just grind out the comms for the best gear and then things'll be peachy.
  2. Convator belt at an assemply plant, eh?
  3. I'm not piling on here but I barely even remember that fight, is how forgettable (run of the mill) it was for me. The first thing I always did during story line solo quests was Concussion Missle the toughest thing I could and keep it CMed until I was ready to fight it. That usually meant killing everything else, then healing myself and my companion up to full. The fight then could still be tough but if you utilize everything at your disposal, every story line quest is (obviously and intentionally) solo-able. Medpacs, healing scan, stun dart and use On the Rail for another stun dart, etc.
  4. Yeah, I didn't have any problems gaining exp. I died now and then but rarely on fights designed for solo play. Could be your gear is under level or your companion's gear is. Maybe you're making the same mistake I did for about 25 levels and not using the Merc specific abilities? I literally didn't realize I was missing out on about 5 additional abilities. When I found those it was even easier. Make sure to keep your heat level low. Throw in some Rapid Shots every other or after every 2 special attacks.
  5. If you're affected by continuously flashing lights... why are you playing a video game about Star Wars?
  6. I like the change. Nothing confusing or gameplay hampering about it on my end.
  7. Yeah. If I can't have the good stuff, the other guys shouldn't either.
  8. Greetings. I am entitled and as such I believe every wrong that has been perpetrated against me should be corrected post-haste, no excuses. And yes, before you ask, I know how difficult it is to debug and/or effectively run a project such as SW:TOR. You'll just have to trust me on this. Furthermore, if the character's class I play has abilities diminished by even .2% I will unsubscribe and deprive BioWare of my $14.99 a month which, according to my college educated mind, will single-handedly sink BioWare. You have been warned.
  9. I hit ESC about 15 times, didn't get me out of them.
  10. I thank all the diligent people who created this game but unless you REALLY like watching a ton (literally, names don't weigh anything but this many names has to) of names scroll up a screen and no way to cancel out of it, DO NOT click on the "credits" button at the character select screen. I did about 8 minutes ago and it's still going. ESC doesn't work. Spacebar doesn't speed it up. Return key, nothing. Letting one of my pet rats crawl along my keyboard doesn't do the trick. I alt tabbed just to be able to do something constructive with my computer.
  11. Just swap the GFX and SFX of Tracer and Fusion.
  12. I did notice my companion didn't make it down with me. I'll try putting my companion away next time. Thanks for the advice.
  13. Twice in the same day (approximately 2.5 hours apart) on seperate trips into Cademimu (normal mode) my client has crashed a minute or so after the first long elevator ride down and I engage the pack of mobs. The first trip in, I also crashed while fighting the final boss, Oltor, I think his name is. So obviously it seems like something in Cademimu is giving my computer fits after that first elevator ride down and then I'm assuming the crash at the final boss would happen again, too. I haven't experienced any other sudden crashes to desktop anywhere else in the game. I'm running a 2.16ghz dual core with 4gb of ram and a radeon 5770 if that helps figure anything out.
  14. The animation is "meh" to me but for an ability that needs to be used a lot, the sounds that go with it must bug other players. Screeeeeeeee, woooosh, BOOM! Screeeeeee, woosh, BOOM! It's like screaming, "HEY GUISE!!! I'M SHOOTING A LOT OF MISSLES!!! GUISE! DID YOU HEAR ME!?! MISSLES, I'M SHOOTING THEM! A LOT!!!"
