  1. I... I had no idea I could do this! Thanks a lot!
  2. So far, I like the idea of the costume designer - however, one change I'd REALLY like to see is the item move from my inventory to the designer slot, like how actual gear does. I'm a little OCD about keeping my bags clean, and this keeps me up at night!
  3. LOL! I agree. I guess my question has been rephrased and answered by RANDLE so /endthread (disappointing that PvP has been abandoned though, hopefully it's for a reason and not just sinking ship stuff.
  4. Thanks for the reply! About the quote above, what edge? My PvE gear is purely statistically better in every way than brutalizer. Take my Oriconian chest - it has more strength, more stamina and more surge than the brutalizer weapon master one - so it'd make more sense to just grind PvE gear and not even bother with the PvP stuff. I was wondering if actual expertise was significantly different to bolstered, the tooltips don't suggest so but I thought there might be some magical BioWare math behind the scenes, guess not. That's fine, I'm on the right path now it seems.
  5. Given that ranked PvP gear is rating 162 and I'm in a mix of 168/180s and get bolstered up to 2018 expertise anyway - is there any point at all in grinding ranked PvP gear? Bare in mind I don't bother with open world PvP [well... you know what I mean] so outside of Warzones / Arenas expertise is useless to me anyway.
  6. Wow... I can't believe what I've just read. Really, you're saying these things... now? Of all times, now? With ESO out next month, Wildstar out in June, WoW's WoD out soon you've literally just said "nothing you want is going to actually happen, you might aswell go and play another game". You'd have been safer just saying nothing, I mean - I appreciate the honesty here, but... damn. The "no" to everything has just broken my heart, is this all we're going to get for one of the best franchises to have ever been made?
  7. Hi there, is recruitment still open? I'm a long-time player, but not hard core I typically like to log on and have specific things to do. I'm primary a republic player (main is a Gunnery Commando called Aracles, but you may have seen / grouped with me on Azaelia (Sage), Aopheles (Sentinel) or Kenseiden (Guardian)). Currently in my own guild at the moment called "You Owe Me a Blaupunkt" but I have no intention of keeping it going or recruiting, I just don't have the time! Basically would you be OK with a VERY casual (but good, I do class myself as a good player) member, with a busy out-of-game life and a career etc. Normally free to do game stuff after 7pm most nights. Cheers
  8. Based on another thread, someone had this great idea.
  9. That is a fantastic idea, it'd mean less penance for the solo player to become mathematically viable. I'm up for this definitely!
  10. It certainly is a negative POV, but I've become biased from being so disenfranchised with this game or EA's ability to make the Star Wars franchise any good - and since they've been given sole rights to develop star wars games, you're damn right I'm going to be critical. I HATE monopolising with a passion, it stifles creativity massively. I stick around pi**ing and moaning because there isn't another "star wars" MMO to go to, and there likely never will be. I care a little too much about a franchise I love I suppose. Again, it's about choice. Choice is rarely a bad thing, I'd personally prefer quality over quantity. I would prefer 1 or 2 even and fun matches every hour than 5 horrible ones. I agree with the hyperbole, we all have a tendency to blow things out of proportion but one look at the forums and you can't deny there are issues with match-making, class balance and general pvp performance. I also agree that there is a huge gap in player ability. As a solo player myself I'm sick of carrying actual morons, I do all of the things above and consider myself a competent player. I take the objectives seriously and do everything I should be doing - when 50% of your team don't that's when you're essentially outnumbered 2:1. People seem to have forgotten this, but making a game fun, profitable and accessible is mostly the developer's responsibility, you know as developers they're paid to do it. That's their payoff. Our payoff as players is the entertainment we get from a traditional recreation. Most of our time and effort is (or should be) spent in the real world, earning money to support our families etc.
  11. This particular topic has been going on for a long time now, and next to nothing has been done to address it. Bolster I suppose... but... yeah. The elitist community in this game is disgusting, they have the same swaggering, pathetic, undeserving little arrogance that I expect bankers and their ilk have. They've spent months of their life elbowing their way to the top in their groups and stuck with these groups helping each other level alts (but with the same security their premade group yields) and are now so tucked away in their ivory towers they're terrified of being slightly displaced with god forbid any fair competition. You people have forgotten what it was like at the start. Now, from the above I don't have a problem spending time getting to the top. Nor do I have a problem sticking together and helping each other out. What I do have a problem with is this blatant QQ, L2P, "oh you're a pvp god and you lose" presumptive nonsense. Like it or not, us casual players are a demographic. We exist, and we don't live on this game like some of you do, nor do we have any interest of doing so. All I know is fresh meat i.e. new players will level to 55, get burnt out on the recycled PvE content there is and be literally smashed to bits by the elitist windbags who spam their lol emotes over and over and over. Now, what will likely be the result? Will it be: a) They stick on some Rocky montage music, wade through the scum swamp of a player base that exists in this game to find tolerable people to play with, suffer days and days of losing and essentially being emote bullied and aoe camped to get the gear needed to be even slightly effective mathematically. OR b) Leave with the feeling that facing the same few premades every match does indeed reflect this game's diminishing pvp population and add to the number of negative reviews this game has received. I know which one is more likely. I just don't understand why choice is seen as a bad thing? Have a solo queue (where you can only join while NOT in a group), a grouped queue (which is basically unranked now) and a ranked queue. Everybody wins.
  12. Here are my gripes. 1. When is PvP going to be viable for those people who have actual real lives and jobs, who can't (or just won't because it's too much of a commitment for a GAME) sit festering in darkened rooms with their neck beards and min/maxing spreadsheets? If you fit this description, please stick to ranked - that's what it's there for. I don't mind sacrificing ranked for casual play. 2. When is healing going to be fixed? By fixed I don't necessarily mean nerfed, but can ALL classes get some kind of ability or rotation that gimps healing for a bit, sentinel has deadly throw. ONE class has ONE ability to affect healing. That's it. 3. When is there going to be some actual match-making so I don't have to sit in a group of 2 against 4 (or vice-versa) or in a group of 3 tanks and 1 dps against 2 healers, 1 tank and 1 dps, and on and on. 4. When are we going to have cross-server queues so we don't have to sit in one for 25 minutes to play. That's it for now.
  13. I completely disagree. I feel the video portrays paying your monthly subscription adequately.
  14. I was just thinking, as a human being I like to keep things real. Also, as a subscriber I like people to know how valued subscribers feel. In addition to our "monthly stipend" please could you also . I feel, as a subscriber, that it truly highlights what it means to be a subscriber. Thanks in advance. [ding dong bannu?]
  15. Us star wars fans tolerate a lot of your failures Bioware, and I mean a LOT. Horrendous game engine, that has crippled the game from the beginning, terrible infrastructure causing never before encountered bugs in an MMO (as a developer myself, I don't expect a game to be 100% bug free, but some of them are beta bugs - come on). But we tolerate it, because there is no (and will be no) other star wars MMO available - thanks to the monopoly of the franchise. People wonder why us complainers stick around, and I think we're starting to wonder the same. Unfortunately for the rest of you, without us complainers the game wouldn't be financed and therefore would shut down. There would be no star wars MMO, only EA can make games for this franchise now. My original point is, arenas. I'm not bothered about class balance, I know that's hard to do and it's never been perfect from the start (if that's even possible). What I'm bothered about is unfair teams. I'm getting sick to death of either being outnumbered (2v4 or 3v4 arenas, they shouldn't even start!!!) or being 4 dps against a 2 tank, 1 dps and 1 healer team. It's virtually impossible to win. Most people just leave, I've had occasion where it turned out to be 1v4 for a little while because everyone just left. If it's really down to lack players that you just can't fill a balanced 4v4 team of EIGHT people, then can we have it quality over quantity - I'd rather queues popped less frequently but were actually match made correctly because the alternative is pathetically pointless. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to support this game, but I have to because it's star wars and there isn't another. Please fix this Bioware, you've got a lot of loyal fans here don't let us down. Edit - just a side note, if I'm on a team of 4 against fewer people or simply on a better match made team then yes, I can't deny that it's a lot more fun than being on the sh***y end of the stick, but at the same time there is no joy in winning, and it definitely doesn't really count as a win making it pointless for me.
