  1. If I recall I did this by overcharg (aoe knockback) and low slashing the hell out of him.
  2. I began to effectively save lives and become useful as soon as I got Rapid scan and the ability that uses the charges of your healing cylinder to vent heat. Obviously as you gain more it gets far better, but I found myself topping healing meters and actually crucially defending around what.. 14 .. 16? it's very easy for a healer to become effective early on.
  3. You wont get the points shown in convo until the end of that chain (the quest turn in. when you get your reward)
  4. Were you darkness or deception when using revel. Once I get the healer I'll obviously be using him regardless of spec, but yeah...
  5. Make sure to use your from stealth CC. I find that without mind trap on the silver or gold, It's very rough. That said, there are fights too where the only thing that really hurts Khem badly is the interruptable stuff. The problem is multiple mobs cast it. The end of act 1 fight against her royal *****iness there ended with me and khem at near full health and her dead because of the 4 interrupts you get against her as a deception sin (jolt, electrocute, overload, low slash). It's a bit more difficult though I'll admit. I have ashara now and I want to use her, but I just don't see a reason unless I go tank.
  6. I'm very fine with this class being your atypical rogue. I do find it a bit odd it's called assassin and we focus on deception yet the story fits more to a sorcerer, but that's besides the point. I know if I want a standard "rogue" I should roll an operative. That said, deception is a nice mix between a stealther and a spellsword. I dig it alot. The problem is that people are right when they say that it has no survivability as well as no escape capabilities except cloak. Darkness has all the survivability which makes SENSE except it puts the other specs at a disadvantage. Madness is in a similar boat but at least doing slightly better. Still suffers from odd design flaws though. The main issue is that deception IS a rogue style build. It relies on maul building up procs. Some of them take a few to build up and this is fine but force slowing people to kite them while energy builds for hit and runs isn't that easy. It's just a difficult spec compared to an operative who to my knowledge is similar to my old witch hunter in warhammer (get in, aoe cc/ knockdown etc.. burst one, **** out ) ... Deception can do that and has some other toys, but it does seem a bit of an odd design. Ah well. I light lightsabers. I like using them (not using it bothered me about my sage). I like the saberstaff. I'll deal until either I l2p and get used to it or some buffs come our way.
  7. Having played a few of the classes I definitely find that as a deception assassin I have to "work harder", but it's not bad. I do wish we had more traditional "rogue style" abilities, but I'll take what I'm given and deal heh. It all comes down to knowing your class too. Everyone claimed the fight at the end of act 1 is impossible as deception and you have to dark charge it etc. I did it without a medkit on my deception sin at 31 no problems. You have 4 interrupts by then that work on her. Just make sure she doesnt cast force storm and the rest is a joke. I landed her second try. First one I was unaware of which moves to interrupt. Khem did die however.
  8. So far I feel that it suits a sorcerer a bit more. Especially the later acts. It's very "magey" in the fact your actions are incredibly tied to the force. I very rarely felt like the story itself lends itself to "stealth" and "deception". That said the previous poster is correct. We assassins use lightning alot. And it is in general a rise to power (like any sith story should be.) Personally going back on things, I wish I went sorcie (I too had a sage and didn't want to repeat the story.) I'm not finding it difficult (deception spec) even though everyone cries that it's impossible, but I am finding myself a bit turned off by little things such as stealth having relatively little purpose overall in the grand scheme of things except as a force regen. My dps seems alright but I feel as a stealther i wish i went operative (yes I know they were nerfed heh). To me personally it seems a bit more traditional in the stealther sense. (Get in quick, control, burst, get out quick) That said, I enjoy the class. I wanted to play a healer as well ,and I'm looking at my choices. I think sorce would have been best for my style of play, as I don't enjoy merc healing much and don't know about operative healing yet. so looks like i'll be replaying this anyway.
  9. Ignoring the whole "im right, these guys that don't want addons and combat logs and whatnot are wrong" thing (Aka, my opinion is truth. yours is garbage!") This is a story driven mmo. Just because it is an MMO does not mean it needs to be another damn copy/paste of the existing ones. As it is, making an "mmo" is already like a copy of a game. They don't have to add combat logs if they dont want. They dont have to add dps meters if they don't want. This is their game. People will play it on whether they like it or not. THere are PLENTY of people that do not care about dps races, etc. How many times in wow do you see players votekick other players for low dps when they are just new to the class and honestly learning their rotations etc? Do you really want that here? Also.. dps meters.. combat logs etc... Wow was the first mmo with that. EQ, asherons call, UO, etc all did NOT have those features. In fact, those games did VERY well (UO had some of the best pvp ever in an mmo) without that feature. Same with dark age of camelot. This is just a whine that its a feature you want, but theres no need for it in my opinion and I'm glad they don't have it yet.
  10. Thats not biowares fault though. That's the star wars universe. That's lucas's fault.
  11. I don't understand the big deal here. This happens in the other big mmo too with aoe's. It's in every mmo with some kind of flag system to pvp. Also someone suggested you cant pvp until you turn on /pvp, but then you could attack guards and whatnot (which are npcs that are attacking you) without any repricussions etc. Are people that upset to die in this game where you lose absolutely nothing? I never bought the whole "its so easier to level on a pve server" nonsense either even in wow. Think of pcs as just smart npc pats you gotta watch out for.
  12. I've hit the point now where when I see people whining about things being "GAMEBREAKERS" that they're working on fixing I only think one phrase. "Shut up. You're garbage." And thats it. BW/EA got my money on this, I enjoy the game, have no issues, and reportedly will have less problems when I get home. Maybe I'm just used tothings since I actually liked many things about warhammer online
  13. But everyone wants this to be wow 2.0 right? haha. I agree. It's a bit cumbersome yeah.
  14. Also want to point out I do these quests same level. The key is interrupts.
