  1. -- Spoiler, not that much but still -- When you get to Iokath you encounter medical droids that resemble to every single medical droid elsewhere... with a different color maybe. Shuttles in the street are the same as everywhere , except there's leaves on it. Lights in the "streets" and other small assets are very familiar too. They worked on a pretty nice new planet design, walls, doors, the background etc, they are different enough to make us feel far away from home, as lost as our character should feel, but here and there we can find those familiar elements who totally break the immersion by making us feel home again. Why ? If time is the reason, they could have just put 2 more wings on those shuttles, it's a 10min job... or just put nothing instead of an old asset. Nothing would have been better than this. I don't get it. Is it lore related ?
  2. In Lotro it took months and months of raids to get our gear. In Age of Conan it takes even longer. In games like Aion it can take more than a year. Welcome to MMORpgs ! If it takes more than 2 weeks to get fully geared, that's only good news ! If you can't wait and work hard for your gear, go play PacMan, the fun and rewards are instant.
  3. They don't have to do it for every vehicles, most mounts don't have a passenger sit anyway. if they do only 1 or 2 mounts with this capacity, they only have to show the companion's chest , can't be that hard. Plus they're already making cutscenes where our companions are interacting regardless of their shape, sounds way more complicated .
  4. I imagine. But I hope the more time passes the more they have "free time" to work on stuff like that. So the farther we are from day 1 , the better
  5. That would be great for immersion if you could take your active companion in your vehicle, they could even make some small talk.
  6. That's what I'm gonna try ofc, but **** , we're paying for this game and we can't even have a decent tech support... anyway thank you for your answers
  7. Well I actually had good and fast support back in the day. But I was always able to send an in-game ticket. :/
  8. Canada... I have no idea and how is a phone call easier to fix a computer issue than emails... i've got screenshots and a video showing the problem, how is that supposed to help now. Again, how to they manage to be one the biggest video-game company in the world and not have email or live chat tech-support... They have one if you can send a ticket, should be easy to make the option to send a ticket from our account offline too. And their number for Canada doesn't even work -_-
  9. Not according to their info pages https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support#subscriber http://help.ea.com/ca/contact-us/new/?product=star-wars-the-old-republic&platform=pc&category=technical-support&issue=game-performance&subject=SWTOR I don't see anything. Do you have it ?
  10. Since EA manage the support now, you can only contact them by phone according to this page : https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support#subscriber Yes you can create a ticket in-game but I can't start the damn game. So I have to call them and pay an extra to get my game to work ? Are you kidding me ? What kind of company doesn't have email support ? My only solution now to contact technical support are the forum or by phone ... This is outrageous !
  11. It's Star Wars, Star wars is about bad guy vs good guys. All the movies, all the comics and side stories are cliché, did you expected a Scorsese scenario here , really ?
  12. I agree with everything except the fact that Wow is the reason. (and I don't like wow, played it 6 month then dropped it, never returned). The problem is that now people play more than one MMORPG, so the grind can't be as hard and long as before. Even old MMORPG are modifying XP and rewards to keep people. I started on DAoC , then eq2 , lotro , then AoC. You had a challenge on every pack of foes in those games. And you had to play hours and hours to get a powerful gear. Now, except for AoC, you can get gear and Xp really easily , even in those old game. Why ? Because new players don't have patience. New players will leave your game for one of the other hundred out there rather than working for their rewards. AoC didn't want to shift to this and even if the community is still strong, well, they don't have many players. Before, you had 2 to 3 real MMOrpg, now you have thousands of them, and people don't have the time anymore. Regarding swtor combat, it's way way too easy. The combat are tons of fun if you play a class you love, feels like kotor and that's good. But, you're never challenged and that's really annoying. You can't make mistakes. You make a mistake in a duel in pvp, you're gonna die, but that never happens in pve and it's a shame.
  13. The entire quest is super easy to solo, but at the end you need to push 4 button in the 4 corners of a room while a poison stacks on you. I managed to press them all with healer companion and speed buff. But after the last one I'm at 30% HP all the time and 6 stacks of poison so I die, and then what ? Then you re-spawn out of the instance and have to kill everybody again. Tried it 3 times already. Always the same. Why , in ALL the H2+ weekly quests now, is there 1 quest where you have to be 2 ? How is it Heroic to press buttons ?
  14. For more immersion the idea would be to have heavy speeder with lower speed but more armor so it doesn't get destroyed as easily. The other type would be light speeder, with higher speed but 2 shots and you're down. So one for pvp/areas with lots of foes, and the other for exploration. right now I don't see any difference between my "civilian bike" and my walker. I know there's one, but it's really not obvious.
  15. Don't play a Bioware story-oriented pve game if you want pvp. Plenty of real and only pvp game out there. But yeah, ppl are true Pvpers there, could be hard for you to meet them.
