But...but...it's end game loot. Unless you are first guild to clear something raiding is ezmode. 1. go to web and get strategy video 2. get rest of raid group to watch video 3. repeat boss fight until everyone in group gets the dance down 4. collect shiny epics Raiding is just another end game time sink. In case you are wondering I don't raid in swtor but raided extensivly in Wow and Rift. I don't care how people get endgame loot and always have found this argument silly.

I can't understand why raiders think they deserve exclusive access to the best end game gear. As a long time WoW and Rift raider I just don't see that raiding is very difficult. Raiding is just spending time grinding out scripted content with a group of people. Raiding is a traditional mmo time sink no different than token grinds and pvp so why do "hardcore raiders" believe their playstyle is more deserving? I also don't understand why so many raiders get butthurt at the thought of a differnt mmo time sink provided the same rewards. If someone wants to grind for gear in a different manner than you choose why do you care? It's not like raiding is hard.

It took wow several years to get it sorted out. First couple of years is was pretty bad. Now if you want a game with horrid tab targeting try out Rift. Makes SWTOR look really good.

The nearly naked 12yr old girl thing in Tera really creeps me out.

Lets have free respecs to any AC we want once 50. Just think of the pvp locust going crazy with fotm classes. It would be fun as hell to watch.

One last thought. For the freakishly hard elite mobs that you run into once in a while I just send in the robot and heal until the mob is dead. Not fast or very exciting but it is effective though I'm not sure what concealment op would do.

Leveling my healing op I had the opposite experience. Most of the time I was two levels low for the zone but could still drop elites. I was three levels low when I hit Voss and it was on the edge but two levels low is doable. You are a stealth mele class, forget all about cover and range. I use CC on every fight even if it's just one elite to start. Key for me was to never fight multiple strongs and always cc a mob in a 4 mob group. At 40 I got the robot tank and it has helped a lot as a healer. When fighting elites and strongs interupt every chance you get and stun them whenever debilitate is up. Once I tumbled to this they got a lot easier to drop them. Funny thing is I find strongs harder than elites even though they have less hp, they seem to hit me much harder. Hardest fights are all the ones that start from a cut scene and have multiple normals and a strong or elite. For these you can't start from stealth so burn down the normals then vanish, sap strong/elite, drop any remaining normals then the strong/elite. If you are running something other than healer you may want to go with Doc Loken. He does a very good job healing if you get him some decent gear.

Post 1.2 I think that Agent/Smug healing will be better. I don't think it really matters since the problem is not failing to complete instance runs. As stated the issue is that other healers are more effective in a group. We are already starting to see the "no Ops healers" attitude in the community. Unfortunitly as the min/max crowd decide that Ops healers are a bad choice the word will spread to the larger community. I don't believe that bioware understands mmo communities enough to address the problem. In their eyes Ops healers can complete the content so there isn't a problem. The player base isn't interested in if you can complete the content they want to do it as fast as possible. If the easy route is to not take an Ops healer then thats what will happen. It doesn't matter to people that they can complete a run with an Ops healer if they can do it faster/easier with someone else. Until Bioware starts demonstrating that they understand the mmo market I don't expect things to change.

Two of my three kids play, 13 year old son and 17 year old daughter. The funny thing is my daughter loves the game but would be horified if the word got out at school that she plays. Kids are really silly sometimes.
