  1. I am pretty sure, in simple terms, Force Shroud (the skill you are referring to, atleast on Imperial side) basically resists damage from any actual SKILL for a certain period of time. Which is only a few seconds. So railshot wouldn't damage, but rapid shots would.
  2. Too lazy to read all (in case anyone else said this) We encountered issues post 1.2 with having Sorc healers in our group. Maybe it was just the player or maybe it was the 'nerf' to the class, don't know. I don't play a Sorc healer. However we did switch to an Op healer and Merc healer and usually clear it in about 45-50minutes with our premade weekly now. I did read that someone did it with 2 sage healers, so I don't have any idea. I just know that dropping our sorcs for different classes post 1.2 helped us out.
  3. Been 50 legacy for awhile as well. Would be nice to see some content for us sooner than later. I wouldn't consider it any sort of deal breaker though. I have a 50 Jugg, 50 Merc, 50 Assassin, 50 Operative and 47 Sniper.
  4. For the love of god, stop making these ridiculous threads. Nothing about this FP needs to be changed. Would it be nice if the loot was a tad better? Sure, everyone would love that. But considering its 'difficulty' the loot is on par. It takes my group 40 minutes to clear this. We usually do it 2x a week. No wipes. Are we geared? Yes. Same as the OP nearly. Op heals - BH Merc dps - BH augmented Merc dps - Rakata augmented Jugg tank - BH/Rakata The instance ISNT DIFFICULT. Your tactics are wrong. Don't try to change the game because you can't learn to play the correct mechanics. Frankly, after an hour of failing you guys should have seriously re-evaluated tactics ..watch some YouTube videos. Phone a friend. Something. I pray BW doesn't nerf this like they have everything else to dumb it down for this sad community. It is 'Tier2' for a reason. If you can't figure it out, go back to 'Tier1'.
  5. The only visual I have really seen thus far for procs is when you go Pyrotech tree for Mercenary. Unload/Powershot procs a free Railshot and when it happens your guy gets a very distinct shield around him briefly.
  6. Exactly. I just did LI HM with 2 Sorc DPS who were not even full Columi and we were successful. Because they listened to the mechanics and did what they were supposed to.
  7. Yes, this issue seems to come up alot. People saying 'Well, I am in my tank gear but DPS spec'd'. Then queue as a DPS or respec to full Tank. Currently you can't tank and dps all-in-one and be 100% successful. Which is the way it should be. Either tank or dps. Just pick one. It isn't that hard.
  8. Like I said in the post, YouTube is fine and dandy sometimes and for some people. I learned the fights better by actually participating in them rather then listening to commentary.
  9. 1. Know your role - This is easily one of the most important aspects of any group, especially when using the tool. If you don't know your role, or feel like maybe your setup/rotation isn't as powerful as you'd imagined then do a little research. Contrary to popular belief, these forums do hold some good information for all classes when it comes to gear/rotations. Or even ask in game, sure you might get trolls on general but chances are someone will throw you a whisper to help you out. 2. Know the fights or ASK - You don't necessarily have to know 100% of a FP/OP. Some people don't or haven't had time to run all these. Yes, using YouTube to watch videos of these is fine and dandy and may help some. If you don't feel like watching a video, then ask in group before a pull. Chances are if you ask prior to the actual fight, someone will be willing to explain the mechanics. There is no fight in this game that requires a book long explanation of mechanics. They are very easy to sum up for a majority of the players in this game. I, for one, and more than happy to explain a fight to you if you ask prior to the fight and not after you caused you a wipe. 3. Know your limits - Don't queue up for something like LI HM if you are sitting on 50 mods. This is one of those FP that require some decent gear and knowledge. I'd strongly recommend that everyone runs SM of this prior to attempting HM, but if you don't.. then you don't. Just ask about the fights. LI HM can be accomplished with a good group who is decently geared. Doesn't require a Rakata+ group. 4. Be willing to accept criticism - Like I said, no one knows 100% of everything. It isn't possible. Maybe someone you are running with knows a better gear setup or rotation for you ..don't be ignorant to them. Maybe you don't like their idea, so don't use it. But don't be an ***. If you do something wrong in a fight and someone corrects you, correct yourself. Clearly you weren't 100% of a tactic and someone knew it better. 5. Know your time - Don't queue up for a FP/OP when you know you only have 30 minutes before you have to leave for school, work, appointment or whatever. All that is going to do is piss everyone else in the group off. Yes, we want to rush through these a majority of the time to get them over with.. but not to the point that pointless wipes are caused. 6. The 'spacebar' issue - Not everyone is going to spacebar. That's life. Would I prefer people spacebar? Of course. I've ran every FP/OP in this game dozens of times. But just because you or I want something doesn't mean it's going to happen. If you don't have time to sit through someone else watching a few cutscenes, then you clearly ignored rule 5. Be respectful of everyone in the group. 7. Ignore is beautiful - If someone is constantly annoying about anything.. whether it be spacebar, lack of intelligence, etc use the ignore function. Not only will this prevent you from having to listen to them but you won't ever have to worry about being queue'd with them again through the tool. 8. Give everyone a chance... usually - If someone seems 'undergeared' for a run but they are confident anyway, give them a shot. You'd be surprised. The only exception to this rule is LI HM. You do need decent gear to accomplish this run. But every other FP/OP, an undergeared person can either usually be carried or they have found a good rotation/setup that still allows them to put out a good amount of damage or heals. I have ran FE and BOI with 3 individuals who all had 15k HPs and we were successful. So don't shoot everyone down. 9. Lastly ..have fun - Sure you might wipe once or twice, but who cares? If you are on that big of a time constraint than don't queue up. The point is to have fun ..like any game. SWTOR is no different. No one is perfect. No one knows everything. Everyone makes mistakes. It happens. Enjoy yourself.
  10. Ran EC SM, KP HM, EV HM and 5 FP's on Saturday on my Juggernaut tank and not a single piece of gear dropped. Feel better?
  11. Only reason I don't like this idea is because gear requirements for SM are clearly significantly lower than for HM. I don't even run HM for the gear drops myself, mainly only run it to get my weekly and help out friends. I am not saying someone needs to be checked as full rakata or even columi to run LI HM, but someone with 50 mods should not even be queuing for LI HM let alone getting in to one. I don't like people who leave/quit a group because they don't like the FP selected, but in this case ..it's understandable. But yes, them running LI SM prior would be helpful still.
  12. When they come out with some sort of 'gear check' they could add these things. Already getting PUG with individuals who have 12k HP in LI HM. No thanks.
  13. This. As harsh as it may sound, we have removed people from our pre-made raid group within the guild to replace them with individuals who can supply better numbers. Not necessarily because the class can't supply the DPS that is required for some runs (ex: EC HM) but because people don't know good/correct rotations to provide the most damage output possible and aren't willing to listen to the people teaching them the right way.
  14. We haven't ran into any issues when it comes to actually completing the operation, for KP NMM at least. We don't run EV HM anymore as our group is Black hole+ gear. However, we have noticed a strange bug/new mechanic with Bonethrasher. He seems to 'pull' individuals in towards him. The range varies each time as well. Some times it's just a couple meters. Other times, he has pulled a ranged dps nearly across the room and right in to a swipe pattern. We did send in a ticket as we weren't sure whether this was some new terrible mechanic or a bug. It wasn't raid ending, but it is a pain in the ***. We did have one of our raid members the other night continuously get disconnected every time he would log in during EC HM right before Kephess. Every time he was loading back in, it would disconnect him at about 85-90%. That did force us to cancel the last boss for that evening unfortunately.
  15. Leveling legacy has always been in the game. I was 50 the first week this went live and have gained legacy level since then. Currently at legacy level 40.
