  1. Hello--apologies for the newb question, but I haven't been able to find a guide that deals with beginners' gearing for operations in 5.0 and later. I have a sentinel (level 40ish command rank) in majority 230 gear (head, bracers, and one relic are 228). I've been able to solo all of the veteran star fortresses, and by the last two I was able to do them without wipes. Am I geared up enough to try an operation without getting yelled at? I'm a founding player, but I've never even queued for an operation... What are the minimum socially acceptable gear levels for things now?
  2. Is it really an "event" if they hand out rewards for doing nothing?
  3. *Shrug* I'm a founder/legendary/etc. and I'm not broken up about it. It's not exactly an "event" if they just hand you a bunch of rewards for stuff you've already done.
  4. Yeah, I put it all on and it didn't show the partial set, in the x out of 7 box on the icon for the set. Good to know they're looking into it!
  5. Forgive the newb question--I don't buy cartel packs, so I don't have a lot of experience with the collection system apart for weapons and crystals that I buy off of the GTN. Are the versions of armors being given out in the DS/LS rewards not collectible? That is to say, I see that they're bound and they're not showing up in the collections window. What's my Trooper going to with Sith armor, if I can't send it to my other characters?
  6. Well... That's what's happening, unless they're all going to show up together in Chapter 16.
  7. So, basically, you just want all of the rewards without doing anything for them? Transfer just one character to a new server, and you get all of your legacy perks. I don't understand all the butthurt about this event--it's not like this is preventing them from continuing to work on new content. All they had to do was set up the achievements, make a few items, and add two companions.
  8. Level sync makes it so you can do all of the content and still get rewards--quests don't gray out anymore. This makes it much easier than it was before because you are rarely actually under the level cap for a planet anymore if you do everything along the way. A monkey on the low end of the bell curve could solo this game--in the places its supposed to be. I'm not big on grouping up--I've been playing since launch and haven't done an operation--but asking for solo operations seems silly, considering that's the only place the game actually forces you to group, excepting a few of the flashpoints that don't have solo mode.
  9. I'd love to see a Mac client. Tribalism aside, I prefer my MacBook to my gaming PC for everyday tasks, and Bootcamp is inconvenient because of the way it needs to have the hard drive partitioned. GW2 has it. Many of the games I play have it.
  10. I absolutely agree, with regard to "Mutations." I love KOTFE and the 4.0 gameplay changes, but not giving this one an instance wasn't an optimal choice.
  11. The main one who might notice is the Hutt scientist.
  12. Why would I want to play any of my max level characters during a double XP event?
  13. But there has been information. KotFE locks you out of the class quests, which includes the two expansion pack main stories and from your companion stories. The pop-up even says this when you go to launch KotFE. You can still queue for operations and flashpoints while doing the new content. You can exit back to the fleet at any time.
  14. The only reason I started playing this game is because I loved KOTOR and KOTOR 2. It's always been KOTOR 3 for me, and I'm very happy that they're moving closer to that direction.
