  1. I still don't understand why the name needs to be processed. If you just take what was entered at character creation what else is needed?
  2. If the name strings were stored capitalised, then no icap would be necessary. Can't see why they are not stored as created.
  3. Oricon - always bugged me to have a planet I couldn't finish solo
  4. I really need to stop coming here. I've unsubbed and quit playing on my two accounts but I have played this game on and off since release and it is difficult to finally cut the cord, I'm now enjoying my (return to) ESO which is several orders of complexity above SWTOR. Having said which, the most difficult part of the transition was retraining my fingers - I still keep hitting SWTOR keybindings from muscle memory. For those of you still playing I wish you all the best and I hope that somehow the state of the game improves. And this will, I think, be my last post in this forum unless there is some major turnaround. I may, of course, still lurk in read-only mode
  5. Technically asking a question is not discussion ...
  6. There was quite a long thread concerning people who said they were going to unsub. Am I going blind or has it been purged?
  7. Sigh. I still have a soft spot for this game but judging by the universally negative reaction to the latest update I think I chose a good time to get out. I'll check in occasionally to see if there is any sudden improvement but I don't hold out much hope.😪 Good luck to you all.
  8. I love the loth-cat - the only pet I ever used.
  9. Today I finally decided to give up playing SWTOR. I've played on and off since the game launched, had some good times and met some nice people. Unfortunately the deteriorating player experience with unfixed bugs (some from the original launch) and strange graphic glitches becoming more and more prevalent have slowly sapped the enjoyment from the game for me. I might stick my head in occasionally to see if things improve but I don't hold out much hope. I've gone back to ESO. The graphics are superb but there was one nasty shock ... having to queue for login.
  10. In play and in cutscenes clothing is completely out of control. Sashes stretch off into the distance, robes billow out or up (or both). It just looks completely ridiculous
  11. The default on-screen map display frequently does not change when moving area (eg into or out of a building). Have to open "M" maps to force update.
  12. More and more cutscenes seem to be plagued by bleedthrough from the game image. The latest example I found was when my warrior spoke to Quinn on his ship - cutscene Quinn was facing me but on-shop Quinn faced away. Both appeared in the cutscene so I ended up speaking to Quinn's head growing from the back of his neck while his other head pointed away. This was sufficiently disconcerting that I missed much of the dialog
  13. For reasons of nostalgia I took the balloon ride with my character while on Tatooine. I've not done this for a long time but it seemed amazingly, almost unbearably, slow. Is it just me or has it slowed down and/or taken a much longer route? Makes me glad holochrons are legacy wide.
  14. This is basically the reason that I recently quit playing. Before that I did play a couple of new characters though taking only the Class missions. Some work better than others doing this but the Imperial Agent storyline is epic if you work this way. I might come back at some stage but not in the forseeable future. If I do, I will probably start a new legacy on a new server just to up the challenge a bit.
