Greetings All, I'm coming back after a very long break from the game. Prior to me leaving, I played a maxed level Shadow that had the best PvP gear/PvE gear it could possibly get. Not sure why I left in the first place, possibly because there was nothing left to do in the game - but I have an itch for lightsabers again. (I left about the time that they finally split up the Level 50 PvP bracket, and the non-level 50 PvP bracket) So, a few questions: How's the health of the population? Is it sustaining based on people's experience, or is it dwindling? What are some of the major changes since around release time? Anything extraordinary? Is the new expansion worth it? Greetings Everyone, Nashville here as well, both live and work in Nashville. Coming back from a very long break of SWTOR.

I have the 4 different sets of PvP gear up to Champion, so gear isn't the problem. But when you have 2-3 mages rolling around spam healing AoE in stuff like Voidstar, it pretty much either takes a Scoundrel or Infilitration spec'd Shadow to take one of them down. I see this a lot on my server, as there's usually at least 1-2 healers in every match. (Dunno what it is about fatman). That being said, I also haven't found a kinetic/balance shadow that could beat me. My kill/death ratio isn't bad enough for me to make the move to a more defensive build, though the last patch really made me consider with the ~10% or so decrease in defense that I lost by not being able to switch stances mid-battle, or rather it not being worth it.

I still can't bring myself to terms, I've tried it, but Kinetic/Balance just seems way too unnatural to me after leveling Infilitration. As an in Infilitration, there are very few, if any, players that I've met that 1 on 1 I can't just beat into the dirt. Playing an Infilitration in Warzones is a bit tricky, but I just make sure that...while I'm a melee centric class...I'm still glass cannon material. With that in mind, I pick and choose my fights, or make sure I'm doing part of the objectives that are better suited for solo play. IE guarding left turret, taking empty side of Voidstar, picking off 2nd level ranged classes in huttball, etc. I try to stay away from the heavy fights besides dropping healers and popping vanish.

I leveled solely as Infilitration, and have tested both. Infilitration was a bit tricky I found at around level 30's, as the boss fights became a little harder and it was more on survivability than it was blasting through things. I countered this by making sure I didn't pull aggro and left it on Qyzen, then when I got Nadia I dropped full PvP gear on her and let her !@%$ face with me DPS wise, the increase in DPS was enough to keep me alive. I'm a big PvP'r as well, but still use Infilitration - which seems to be out of the norm these days - again, I've tried Kinetic/Balance...but I just like being able to drop healers before they even realize that I'm there - shrugs-

Someone that would cut their billing cycle over such is either 1) Not worth keeping such a customer cause they'd probably find something else to complain about or 2) Their mom pays for their sub anyways.

No. Because high level Sages/Sorcs can drop their health at will and will just stand in a corner and do this to farm as 3 second to obtain medal.

So then roll Republic, problem solved. By the way, I usually play on Off-Peak hours due to my work load, in which case a lot of times I do play Republic vs. Republic. I probably had half the games I played last night being them.

Logic? PvP stands for Player VS. Player, not Faction VS. Faction. There's your Logic. Logic? Move to a server that has an actual population. I'm sorry your experience on your server hasn't been as good as mine, but raging on the forums at others isn't the answer. Perhaps some Anger Management training might help you.

I don't feel Ilum is broken, I go out there quite often with 2-3 of my guildies and receive a good bit of Valor for a couple of hours. Also, Huttball isn't broken content. PvP is PvP regardless of faction, learn to pass the ball

I'm 50, and I'll continue to grind at my gear. Because I don't like to whine nor do I want it handed to me.

Not sure why there is so much hate about Assassins/Shadows. The only one's that play them that complain are the one's that can't read buffs/procs

I blame it on Mercenary's one button facerolling.
