  1. I have 3x level 50s. And that quote proves it? I don't know what I'm supposed to see here... sorry. I have 8 republic characters on The Maw (no level 50 rep). I have 7 characters including several 30s and 10-15s, 2x 50s now on "The Bastion" and some level 50 BH that was now deleted from Space Slug (I believe) and the nature of the pre-release of this game forced my friends and I apart. I'm not lying. But whatever - I'm done here guys. It's obviously me. I should have no rights to be pissed off and should just calmly walk away again without posting up my frustrations... you know... far be it for me to try to complain about something I'm going through as a customer that is impacting my enjoyment TRYING TO COME BACK TO PLAY YOUR GAME... you know: far be it... and just everyone gang bang me right off the forums. Hopefully you guys see someday the impact of trolling the forums have. How many customers get put off by it and just choose to not play the game... maybe some day when you are all down to 3 severs you'll think: ****... I shouldn't have been such a raging ******e on the forums. Naw - you don't get it. You won't either.
  2. No... I had a level 50 on Space Slug... my friends were unable to join that server due to the initial pre-release of the game. I was level 30 or so when that happened so I was just like: I'm deep in the story... I'll change servers and join you guys once I hit 50 then transfer the character later when the company releases transfers to fix this gong-show release... and forcing all their players to be split from each other due to the shoddy release. So then I made my "base" on another server with a name-holder for my BH... but then I had several level 10-20s... and several 50s on the server all my friends played on. Coming back 6+ months later now... my 50 BH is gone... and my 7 imps now moved to the new server "The Bastion" and now I have a few 10+ rep characters on a completely different server "The Maw" but the only place to transfer those characters is to "The Bastion" So OBVIOUSLY I can't because all but 1 slot is left for me on that server... even if I wanted to combine rep-imp on 1 server which I don't. Hope that clarifies things.
  3. I moved 7 of my existing imp characters now. I know how to transfer. I appreciate the attempt to help. I have my 8 imps all set up also but being forced to transfer all of them to the same server is a complete undersight. I don't know a thing about what they said. I only saw transfers... didn't read that much into it... and resubbed to try to 1) combine my account 2) try the game again to see what's changed <not much> and 3) get a new start - I'm ok having to change servers. But deleting my characters and then also when if they can restore them they were explicitly clear: they will NOT be moving the character to combine the account. So server A -> X and if the character is restored then server B -> Y and my 8 rep on server C and being forced C -> X It makes zero sense... completely not customer friendly.
  4. No: I think the right phrase here is: "Guess you shouldn't have re-subbed" Whatever - this game is still garbage 6+ months later. Still no basic MMO features. Too bad it cost me 15 bucks to find out. I won't be back.
  5. Man do I regret resubbing big time. Just reminds me exactly why I left. Good show Bioware. Force delete my characters... force me to deal with your inept customer service... and then leave me in exactly the same position I was when I left: characters all over the place and not combined on 1 server like I had always wanted to begin with. I just unsubbed. I don't need this drama. I just wanted to play the game. THERES YOUR MAGIC WORDS to lock and delete this thread. It didn't happen... keep lying to yourself.
  6. They did delete my auction character and bounty hunter. They did. I left my entire account untouched because I felt SWTOR had a lot of growing space and would return some day to try it out again. Trust me: the defunct servers? The ones all greyed out? Those characters are toast. Not even able to select them.
  7. I'm going to try to be as constructive as I possibly can be. But I need it known upfront: I am upset right now. I haven't played this game for the last... I don't know 4-6 months now? Not even sure... but its been a long time. I was reading about character transfers and I was pretty stoked because it would allow for a fresh start and one major gripe I had with this game was the original release... remember guys? Starting an MMO a week or more prior to the actual release of the game? Ya: that entire fiasco had me on completely different servers than what my friends were allowed to be on... and by that point I had already leveled past level 30... so I finished to 50 and just imagined the company would release transfers that would allow me to combine my account. Then I re-started from scratch on a completely new server. Well - I get back and now I find out my level 50 is totally gone. Now I find out that the only available transfers are where both servers I played on (reb + imp) are both being directed to the same server "The Bastion" and that I have a limited time to move my characters. So that in itself makes zero logic to me... you are forcing me to move both my 8 Rep and my 8 Imp to the same server with no other choices of servers... and I have a limited time to do so or what? You will delete whichever I don't move like you've done to my level 50 bounty hunter? Amazing guys. I am so thankful. Maybe you can take this stupidity and double it.
  8. There were several others on pages 2-3 who agreed.
  9. Listen... even winning and playing the "over powered" classes like Sorcs and PTs... it's STILL not fun. The fix here to make it fun isn't to match over powered against over powered or even a guaranteed 50% win ratio... it STILL isn't fun having that much CC, knock backs, and 100-0 health in 3 seconds killing in the game...
  10. Or.... voice my concerns to a dying game and not resub? Actually: my statement is much more logical and factual than "prevent people from knocking you into them" considering soooo many factors give the person doing the knocking the massive advantage... down to the game engine and flaws with how latency works... and that I can be lined up flawlessly on MY client and then BOOOOM off I go anyways because on YOUR lagging client you are actually somewhere else. I can dodge roughly 20-30% of knockbacks which is actually pretty good when compared to your average SWTOR player.... how sad is that... when you can avoid an ability like that only 20-30% of the time... with a recast timer so low. You act like you think knock backs aren't overpowered. That in itself negates any credibility you have in your part of this discussion.
  11. Ok ok - you got me... I'm obviously not going to find anything official... I guess from a rational standpoint and the progression of MMOs in general from past to now... experience tells me the intention of those abilities.... event warrior "leaps" are really initially designed around PVE objectives like jumping ahead of your group to lay down a bit of agro before your group can react... for example. It makes a lot of sense that the sorc "knock back" splashing OUTWARDS is meant defensively considering their AOE abilities require mobs to be significantly "clumped" up... so it makes NO SENSE AT ALL to have the sorc run up to a clump of mobs... hit knock back spraying mobs AWAY from the center point/out of AOE damage they would dish out. Actually.... if you've played a sorc you know you would hit your shield... run up... AOE damage and it's very effective. Using your knock backs to hit tougher mobs away from you + slowing them to allow you to kite them. Several of the class quests you cannot complete without doing that. Same with the Sorc pull ability... I believe it was haphazard that this pull ability became significant in Huttball.... I don't believe the initial intention of the ability was "hey - lets make a spell that pulls huttball players to them... " "what's huttball?" "oh - don't worry... it hasn't even been blueprinted yet" - like come on. Use some common sense, guy. Playing a PT I can also tell you that the "pull" is designed as an initiator... pulling LOS mobs for example... or allowing you to better position mobs in a "clump" for AOE... or pulling them off group mates.
  12. "complex" ... I hope you understand the irony here.... because it's sooooo complex to pull someone into fire/acid or knock multiple people from ledges with an instant ability that takes zero skill to do... ummmmmmm.... not flaming you, I promise... but come on. I'm 100% sure there is a healthy balance between having these components on the map, and still allowing people abilities to "get away" from others (which is the INTENTION of knock-back abilities - NOT to use it OFFENSIVELY the way it is currently used as the 'MUST HAVE GO TO' crutch ability)... and the pull abilities are PVE abilities "meant" for Sorcs to pull a DPS out of PVE situations... the PT pull is meant as an initiator or to pull mobs off healers... these are abilities who'se INITIAL intentions were not "meant" for PVP usage. So... tweaking them slightly... yet keeping the maps the same would be awesome. I don't mind if the knock-back "stuns" me for 1.5 seconds (for example) as opposed to hitting me off a ledge and out of meaningful combat for 30-45 seconds OR MORE sometimes. Having the PT "pull" act as a stun or inturupt in PVP situations.... as another example. I don't even care that when ***I*** enter into a fire trap MYSELF and you stun me there? That at least takes some miniscule amount of timing and effort... so keep that in the way it already is.
  13. I hate it... but you know what though... enough of us are just making our vote count with our pocketbooks. So really: my opinion won't matter much longer anyways... I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if my resolve bar filled up and then I wasn't impacted by stuns, knock backs, slows, pulls... oh wait. I am. On a full assed resolve bar I am still knocked completely off of ledges... so the system itself doesn't even work anyway as intended.
  14. It doesn't matter.... I have a 50 PT... a 50 Sorc... a 50 Op... a 30 Jug... I could care less what class I am on.... it's not the point. That doesn't take away from any point I'm stating. It's equally "un-fun" weather I'm on a sorc, PT, Op, Jug... whatever character.... going 100 to 0 in 3 seconds without control of your toon... getting knocked off a ledge out of combat/getting avoided out of preventing a cap or score... watching a warrior class leap every 10 seconds 20% of the map avoiding everyone all together... But go ahead and toss out red-herrings into the current topic.
  15. I haven't been playing much lately... every now and then I'll log in and remind myself why I dislike SWTOR PVP so much... because there are waaaaay too many abilities in the game that either: 1) knock you into fire/acid that not only knock you back, but follow up stun or ability-including slows make sure you are going from 100 to 0 life. 2) knock you off of ledges and completely out of any PVP combat for the majority of play... which also is preventing you from positioning yourself at objectives 3) leaping to avoid any combat at all... jumping 20% of the space of a map every 10seconds 4) pulling.... pulling you into a fire to go from 100 to 0 life.... or pulling team mates ridiculously across the maps... combine this with knock-back from ledges and even when you attempt to prevent the tactic - off the ledge you go In fact... the majority of the time I see this stuff I don't snicker or laugh to myself and go: "Damn, that took some finesse... that took some real skill, strategy, luck and ability... man: that guy is super skilled and managed to counter every ability I had to throw at them." No... rather... I sigh to myself in dismay and log out of the game... because none of those items take any ability or a single iota of skill or brain power to complete... and the combination of factors make it super hard to avoid or prevent. So what's the point? It's not even a human skill factor... it's that SWTOR has these built in game breaking abilities that no one seems to recognize as problematic to the enjoyment of this game! (Not one time have I read a post where a Dev acknowledges all of these items as a flaw with the game.) In fact... the majority of vocalists will flock to this thread and beak/flame their yaps at me... indicating it's ME and MY fault somehow that *I* should be the guy who needs to "learn to play" or whatever... that I guess *I* need to roll a toon that can do the above listed items... even though I have nothing but pure disrespect for the skill-level and disdain of players who take advantage of these flaws. Ya bro - you're soooooo skilled to pull someone 50 feet away into acid... then stun them there... or even don't stun and they will still be at 30% life.... SOOOOOO skill bro to knock a guy out of map objectives and essentially out of any significant combat for however long it takes to clammer back up to that ledge/point. What's that you say? Oh you get to do that again to me in another 20 seconds. That's great. I enter into PLAYER vs PLAYER combat because I want to test my skill level against PLAYERS... I am not there to AVOID any type of PVP altogether through the above list of items... you may as well allow hutball carriers to go stealth with the ball. Honestly... why don't you do that? That is the EXACT SAME LEVEL of player avoidance you currently have in this game... may as well COMPLETE that list of player vs air/avoid.
