  1. Well this is super awesome and all, but I wish you had either made it effective immediately or held off until it took effect before announcing it. Now I'm staring at half a dozen characters I could be leveling, but I don't want to throw away thousands of credits.
  2. They've already said gender changes won't happen because gender is tied to story events and companion quests. Character name changing needs to happen. It's utterly stupid that it isn't already available. BioWare obviously knows we want it but they refuse to even acknowledge it or address their reasons for dropping it back when it was promised as a feature in the Cartel Market. It's extremely frustrating.
  3. I want to see the character rename tokens they teased us with nearly a year ago finally added to the game. Come on, BW. I know you're reading this. At least tell us why you continue to refuse this frequently requested feature.
  4. You teased it as a feature for the cartel market but then pulled it before release. Can't you at least tell us WHY it isn't available and if/when it might be added? I have several characters in which I have invested time and whose names I was forced to change because of your server merges and I really want to change some of them.
  5. Bad form, BioWare. You give us the option to choose whether to PvP and then you do not respect those choices? Bad form.
  6. 29 days left. Already canceled the autorenew. I might revisit when the game goes fully F2P, but I doubt it. When a game forces me to character transfer and lose the names I went out of my way to grab as early as possible? Yeah when that happens I generally walk away. Rift did the same to me and I canceled immediately. Haven't been back.
  7. I'm not paying anymore. My sub runs out in mid August. If I don't see some sort of reparations for the way BioWare is screwing us over by then, the game will be uninstalled and I'll be moving on.
  8. Yeah that's right. Screwed over. I eagerly pre-ordered the ridiculously overpriced Collector's Edition and dived with enthusiasm into the early access period, claiming the names I wanted for my characters. Now I'm being forced into server transfers and, ultimately, name changes as a reward. Thanks, BioWare.
  9. It's very difficult to precisely position UI elements with just the mouse. It would be great if the customization dialog had "nudge" buttons that would move things one pixel at a time. Also, display the X,Y coordinates on the UI customization dialog. That will help us align things. Another thing that would be helpful would be quick bars that can sort of stick together, automatically aligning to one another. The background and border art could ideally then seamlessly extend around both bars so there's no ugly overlapping. All individual unit frames should have the same customization options. Player, Companion, Target, Target of Target, and Focus should all be born from the same template that we can then scale, rotate and otherwise customize those elements with the same options. Do away, imo, with the mini quickbar on the companion frame and instead allow us to put companion abilities into our own quick bars. This would give us even more control over the UI. The chat UI still needs major work. We need to be able to lock the chat UI so we do not accidentally move it or rearrange tabs when we mean to click them. We need to be able to suppress the chat UI's background so that we can position it closer to the edge of the screen. If the chat UI background isn't suppressed, it should still not appear just on mouse-over. That's annoying. Chat lines should fade individually and should only reappear if I choose to scroll the chat window. This allows the chat window to appear clean when there hasn't been any chatter for some time. Therefore when a new chat message appears, it's much more apparent and harder to miss. It also helps keep the screen clear of unnecessary clutter. The experience bar UI needs an option to automatically hide the XP bar if the character is max level. BUG: The companion frame likes to move itself back to the corner when I'm grouped. I have to go into UI customization and reload the UI layout to fix it.
  10. The Ideal Solution Each character you create should have the option of starting a new Legacy bound to that character or joining an existing Legacy, be it bound to one of your other characters or to someone else's character.
  11. Yeah I can see that conversation happening all the time because blue lightsabers are so rare. And even if it did happen...who cares? Default the option to "off" so it can be opted-in by those who get all twisted in knots when they see a Jedi with a red saber or (heaven forbid) a black core saber! As far as the game goes, they can add a saber crystal that pulses all the colors of the rainbow for what I care. But some people seem to want the "more immersive" game where traditional colors are used. If (I said IF) it's easy tech-wise, then by all means let them have the option to pretend color variety doesn't exist.
  12. Maybe BioWare should add an option to show lore-strict light sabers and if you turn it on, the imps will all show red light sabers and everyone else will show blue or green sort of randomly. Just to make the lore hounds feel better.
  13. No flaming necessary. Not everything in the game is canon. Deal with it.
  14. I believe their rule is "one button press for one action". I agree with the BioWare devs in that that isn't a "macro" in the strictest sense of the term, but that's what Blizzard's "macro system" in WoW does and that's how it should work in SWTOR (and all MMOs imo)
  15. To be fair, the early implementation of macros in WoW did lead to such things as the Lazy Tank macro. That's why Blizzard revamped the system to greatly restrict what it could do. And I'm all for such restrictions.
