Kind of bizarre but even though I'm getting this error, the launcher still has a constant 15-20% CPU usage while it's chilling telling me it's doing nothing. When re-opening it, I had to kill the previous process because it was still going.

For quite awhile now, at least since Fallen Empire's pre-patch, the patching process via the launcher absolutely drags anything installed on my SSD to a crawl. This includes file explorer (Win10), Chrome, Battle.net, and just about any other app I could launch from the same drive that SWTOR is installed on. No other game's patch eats up my SSD's performance as much as SWTOR does; typically only Internet bandwidth is a noticeable drag during installations that are simultaneous downloads/installs. Anyone else have this issue?

Yeah I just realized this as well. Bitraider isn't on my system, nor has it ever been. So, I'm SoL.

Just an update to disabling bitraider in the launcher: Still stalling past the <2GB to go mark. Currently stuck again at 1.6GB, which is where I was stuck last time.

So basically your solution is to re-download the whole game. Yeah, not buying in to this especially given how inefficient the launcher is at disk usage during installs. EDIT: No reason here to delete any assets folders. The bitraider flag is enough, apparently.

Just gonna play Overwatch beta I guess and wait for this garbage to be fixed tomorrow. Very disappointed.

At this point it sounds like people should just boycott all packs and spread the word. That's the only way Bioware and their EA overlords will get the hint.

Is this stun/slow phenomenon you speak of similar to the current stunned/slowed state I'm experiencing playing chapter 310?

I got tricked by this earlier. It let me download about 150MB before dying again.

I'm enjoying chapter 310 so far.

Getting a lot of ping timeouts, something isn't right. It's possible their content network's ISP is having issues.

I keep getting spikes of full download speed but it only lasts a few seconds and then immediately drops off. I mean, there aren't *that* many people that still play this game, no reason for this to be a CDN load issue. We need a fix.

I'll chime in here. The new companion influence system having no bearing on companion missions changes the way their missions tend to line up. I recruited Jaesa as light side and there was an option to flirt with her during the debriefing on the ship, so I was under the assumption she was a romance option. However, I missed the opportunity to start a romance with Vette; I only found out after I passed Vette's first romance chance that LS Jaesa was not an option. As such, my SW now has no romance options at all unless I decide to play Fallen Empire with him (which probably won't happen). I'm probably not going to be re-leveling another SW so I guess I'll have to settle for YouTube to see Vette's conversations.

For reference, I have applied the workaround in the linked thread on two different classes already.
