  1. It wasn't surprising that resources to the game was kept low after the launch that went pretty much downhill. Seeing as the game is doing quite well now, can we expect more resources to be put into faster and better game development in the near future? A pretty good - month old article on the subject. http://torwars.com/2013/05/09/opinion-despite-subscriptions-under-half-a-million-improved-revenues-means-a-bright-future-for-swtor/
  2. Well.. My problem is that the general vibe we get from BW is bad. They basically say that they can't do X-realms.. because they cant.. ?? (simply out of reach for them?) I think they bump their players base to at least 4 million with some real, self sustaining stuff: Like; * Real PvP * Much multilayer PvE content. * Space * and a big fat promise on continuing the story lines. If they keep up doing things in current pace, anything significant can be expected 2050. Part from these things I am very happy with the game. PS. The investors who pushed the deadline made the worst business decision ever and should be thrown to the Sarlac.
  3. I never have to do it so client side it is.
  4. The "F**ing Noobs" guy. When a WZ is turned against the tide by the enemy resulting in a loss, this guy will tell you how it is. This is the first line of communication you hear from him and the fact that he's very low on damage, healing, medals and haven't contributed much in general does not seem to faze him.
  5. Keep telling yourself that Ever since the obvious launch flop they have been cutting corners. When they planned for CGI intros and story continuance I'm pretty sure they imagined at least 2 million subs.
  6. ^^ There's also massive balance issues to keep in mind. You thought a healer was hard to kill now? Well wait until they have a 30 sec stun breaker.
  7. Would you rather have PvP where you just target one and other then raid do a raid DPS showdown? Everyone has the same disadvantage so no need to feel singled out. Just learn to use your stun break at the moment so you can suffer to a smaller amount then the average guy.
  8. I think it's a technical problem that you Warriors actually leap through the air. Charge abilities like that suffer from lag by default as it is. The game who can not be named solved it with a short movement speed buff after performed action to compensate for lag. Guess the dev's have to do some coding to clean it up so your position doesn't reset. Sadly though there are a lot of /stuck problems still in the game so don't hold your breath.
  9. While I'm here I might aswell give some credits to... The "Über pro ninja" - The guy who actually stealths and starts sapping reinforcements when you are capping a node. <3 <3 <3 and of course his less gifted brother. The "QUICK KILL HIM" guy. The guy who breaks all CC on reinforcements so they interrupt your capping /cry But keep trying Quick Kill Him guy, one day you might evolve into a Über pro ninja.
  10. The "don't throw the ball at me" guy! I feel no explanation is needed. The "I'm here to fight" guy. - Best imagined with Voidstar door alarms ringing in the background. The "Epic showdown healer" guy... and his adversary - Probably a Vengeance guy from page 1. Still locked in the same battle of prestige in the first room in Voidstar while the real battle is in the last. Nice thread
  11. This is a catch 22. The random WZ premades was born in part because someone got steam rolled a few too many times. For them and some unlucky randoms the table has turned. The obvious solution is to play this MMO to it's full potential! Make friends and queue with your own premade, then you have no excuse when you lose
  12. Also, punish people who leave. There are people who join only to take buffs to then be on their way questing. By punish I mean - Strip them of their buffs

    Arena proposition

That's a bold statement. When Arena was implemented the game grew to see their biggest number of subs. One could even argue that arena and 10 million subs are directly linked. WoW handled their balance poorly - but the biggest factor in that was the expansion factories. With the exception of season 5, WotlK had very good PvP class balance. But it didn't last for long since blizzard churned out another expansion basically resetting all their work. I belive it can be done better then that. Especially considering how long it will take between any real expansions with extended class stories. Swtor has a much better shot at a concept we already know players love when it's done bad. And if they suddenly produced content so fast that it became a serious issue? Then obviously they suddenly got more resources and money and people would ejac to their rapidly extending class stories. I see a win / win here.

    Arena proposition

The wow players love it so who cares what the devs think. You make it sound like it's there to please the devs and not the players. If they make it clear that balancing Arena will come 2nd it should be fine.

    Arena proposition

I would say go only for 4v4. Put Tank and Healer restriction to one of each. This might be altered down the line when there is better class balance. Season ladder rankings WITH rewards for at least the top 5%. Arena is for competitive players hence, you need to make it into a competition and the top players desserve something to show for. It needs to be X-realm or the dispute of settling the competition can't be done well. As few "Battle groups" as possible while still maintaining lag-free play. Answering topic: I already disagree with the none reward system for stated reasons. I also disagree with the 1v1 arenas. A random dueling instance to queue for with now rewards etc on a few different maps - fine. But nothing resembling a serious competition.
