  1. Indeed, WAR was built around a supposed 1v1 Balance, but turned into a total debacle when groups came into play. I've a feeling this guy got his *** handed to him by a better player and just blames his class, rather than taking the responsibility of getting better.
  2. He was an Assassin tank with almost 19K HP. What spec are you playing btw? I'm going to assume Lightning.
  3. You should specify a bit, which tanks and builds, because I've seen a PvE Tank get ripped to shreds by a Sorc in NO GEAR. Now, perhaps that tank just sucked poorly, but bottom line versus tanks is that they can't do sufficient damage to overcome your shield and heals.
  4. So time to vent myself: Concealment: Tri Fecta nerf is way out of proportion. I'll agree HS damage was over the top, but the incoming nerfs to concealment hurt us in the only thing we're good at. Healing: Many operatives can attest to how we fare compared to other healers in PvP (lowest of the totem pole). However, my main concern is the fact that KI can fail, and when it does, it can happen in streaks. This is a game breaking bug and will cause wipes and dead team mates. Lethality: In PvP it can do nicely, but healers will shut this class down if they're paying attention. All that damage at the top of your scoreboard (from throwing out multiple dots on everyone) means nothing if the healers on the opposite side have beaten you in Healing/Cleanse and saved lives.
  5. I'm sure many operatives out there can agree with me, finding a good knife is very difficult. Yet, finding an offhand blaster, purple or custom, is quite easy. I actually had to PvP for a decent knife in PvE, and the expertise rating is a wasted stat for me. And compounding my frustrations was only finding out much much later than Knives cannot be RE'd into higher quality versions. As an armstech, I wasted a lot of time and credits on trying for a better knife, but never got anything. Dual Wielding is just superior to Sniper Rifle/Knife at the moment.
  6. I just wish there weren't so many PURPLE icons and buffs/debuffs. That being said, Energize giving a more apparent visual/audio cue would help a lot.
  7. Assassins don't have a healer companion until later or unless you gear out 2v-r8, which makes a big different in solo power. Sorcerers get Khem, a 60 sec Whirlwind, as well as healing, making them better at Soloing mobs right off the bat. You aren't really weaker than the Sorcerer, but you were handicapped in terms of Solo-ability for a few more planets or until you get your Droid geared. I compensated for this by taking Biochem for the medpacks and stim boosts (makes a BIG difference).
  8. Yea, I was a little confused at first, but I have a level 50 Operative and can assure you, Strength (which affects Melee Damage), has no affect on Operative damage. Force shroud should be used immediately after getting hit with Hidden strike. If you CC break the prone and use that, his DPS will drop SHARPLY. Part of the reason is because Shroud will cleanse Acid Blade, lowering his Tactical Advantage gain from spamming Lacerate and Acid Blade is a good DoT as well that ticks hard for 6 seconds. Also, Force Slow and Backpedal will lower DPS by not giving them a flank to strike at with Backstab (which crits hard, but otherwise you might get lucky and not get crit by it).
  9. There's some misinformation on this thread: Operatives have Ranged and Tech attacks. Almost 100% of an Operative's DPS is going to be Tech (all Knife attacks). One Force Shroud and you're invulnerable to everything but a basic attack from his Blaster Rifle and a never used Snipe.
