  1. I'd love this, too, especially if I can add them later on. Some greying hair styles would be fantastic. It would be nice if I didn't have to be 20-something.
  2. People have been asking for an option to hide hoods for some time. All the chest armor pieces already have a hoodless graphic created -- that's why they work if you play a race with lekku or horns. The hood also disappears if you put on an armor helmet, but then you're stuck with a helmet when you don't want anything at all. Sadly, most of the options for headbands and googles that hide the hood don't seem to work anymore, at least when I tested it earlier today. Plus, you might not want a headband. There is already a piecemeal Covert Energy armor set. (By piecemeal, I mean you have to buy 3 things in the Cartel Market to get all the pieces.) It doesn't have a Head piece, but if it did, VOILA! Hoods are hidden, everyone can see their pretty hair, and no UI changes required. Plus, if it sells in the Cartel Market, that's $$$ for SWTOR. Please add a Covert Energy Helmet to the Cartel Market so that we can hide our hoods. Thanks!
  3. I can understand applying a tax to COD mail messages, so that sellers can't avoid the GTN tax. But having a tax on regular mail messages is insane, especially when the cost to mail the item is many times more than its value in the GTN. It should never cost tens of millions of credits to send a message!
  4. Yet another player lost. She came back to the game after being gone for a bit. She noticed she had some items in inventory from cartel packs that she didn't want, so trying to be nice, she mailed them to her friends. Then she noticed that she was almost broke -- half a billion credits gone. Looking through her logs, mailing one particular item (not COD) cost over 29 million credits. This is particularly horrible, because the item sells in the GTN for less than that. So she sent a ticket to support saying hey, I didn't hear about this change, would you mind giving me my credits back? They said no, of course. When I read over a post about how the taxes would work, I thought it was COD mail messages that had a tax, so that people didn't avoid GTN fees. I had no idea there was such a heavy tax on simply sending gifts to close friends. Now she's really depressed and not interested in playing anymore. Is there any chance this is going to get fixed soon?
  5. Interesting post! Here are my thoughts. 1. Content Stagnation: There hasn't been much story, and some of the new story seems to discount that we're famous, powerful, a Mandalorian, a double-agent, or pretty much anything to do with our personal storylines. Voss treats me like a common <insert class here> instead of the Alliance Commander. 2. Lake of Endgame Focus: Gearing is an absolute DISASTER for new players. Each system seems less intuitive than the last, with no in-game explanation of how it works. All the old gearing systems are still in place. I've seen people waste their time trying to figure out legacy stuff, not knowing any better. I'd like to see them remove all the old systems and put in one unified system -- even a mediocre single system would be better than the awful patchwork we have now. I'll also note that many of the new items and decorations are reskins of existing ones. Even the new mission areas seem like old areas with the parts resized and glued together in different configurations. It makes new areas seem very sloppy and visually unappealing. 3. Technical Issues: I think veteran players have become used to all of SWTOR's quirks and may not notice them anymore, but the people I've tried to recruit to the game have seen it as a buggy hot mess. Heck, even I get frustrated. I'm trying to do Galactic Seasons in a week with PVP objectives, and neither wins nor loses are counting. 4. Comunication Breakdown: I'd fault SWTOR for this, but it's pretty much the same with every MMO I've played. 5. Neglect of PvP: I like that I can now choose between arena and warzone -- that's made me more interested in playing. I don't like the fact that PVP is required to get decorations, cosmetics, and other things, because people who don't enjoy (and are terrible at) PVP are forced to join groups, over and over. People who queue up as a group are always going to beat solo players that end up in a PUG with tourists. (And I say this as a tourist who feels sorry for all the groups I drag down to a sound defeat. Sorry guys, but I want those decos!) 6. Declining Player Population: There are so many reasons for this, I'm sure, but the ones I'd guess are the worst are the bugs, punishing travel fees, multiple confusing gearing systems (we're up to what, 5 now?), extremely high cost of items in the GTN, and somewhat high cost of items in the cartel market. Now that they're punishing new players financially by stealing what few credits they get from lowbie missions for basic travel, I don't know how they're going to keep new players. At the very least, they should make it free to move to planets through strongholds to encourage people to buy, use, and visit them. I'm sure there are a lot of other problems. These are just the ones I tend to see.
  6. The Disguise Terminal: Wookie and Disguise Terminal: Ultimate Chef have the exactly same emotes, and almost the exact same appearance. They both have wookies. The Chef terminal version is wearing a chef's hat. The Chef doesn't have any cooking emotes at all. At least trade out some of the grumpy arm-waving for Belch, Eat, Drink, and maybe Bottlebreak? Actual cooking emotes with a pan or cooking knife would also be amazing.
  7. If you do the new Voss storyline, the total travel costs are higher than the total credit rewards for the missions. It shouldn't cost credits to play the storyline when there are new releases. On a similar topic, raising vendor prices to "keep up with inflation" is yet another way to punish new players. They won't have massive credits on account, because the mission rewards are NOT inflated, and they have started playing after many of the credit-generating issues (and bugs) were fixed. I'm posting because I talked one friend into returning to the game -- he didn't have a ton of credits because he left before the inflation got really crazy. When he saw Voss draining what little money he has, he quit again. I also talked another friend into playing for the first time. He quit because the travel costs prevented him from saving up money to buy things that cost mere thousands, or tens of thousands, of credits. He didn't want to be poor all the way to the end game; nobody wants to wait months to buy some simple vanity items.
  8. My "wrong game version" problems had gone away. I just updated to the new version and now it's back. Would y'all consider extending Nightlife and Galactic Seasons for those of us who might be out of game awhile (again) over this?
  9. What do you like about how the GTN currently functions? I like that I can sort by item price or individual item price (when multiple items are for sale). I also like being able to filter for category and subcategory. What do you dislike about how the GTN currently functions? Most of the drop-down filters don't work or have become irrelevant. Is there anything you wish you could do on the GTN that you cannot do currently? I want to leave things on the market for a week. I want to be able to drag-drop items in and have them automatically price at 1% lower than the lowest current price. Are there any specific filters, searches, or ways of finding items you particularly like or that you wish existed? I want to filter out any items my character, or my legacy, already has unlocked. Please make it easier to find pets, titles, emotes, mounts and other such things that I don't already have on the current toon, or on any toon in my Legacy. For decorations, just like other things, I'd like to be able to filter for ones where I have none unlocked. I want to filter out items I cannot use for any reason (level, class, reputation, etc.). What kinds of information do you use to decide when to make a purchase? If you could have more information what would you want? I want to know if it is unlocked for toon or unlocked for Legacy.
  10. It looks like there's some kind of scaling issue on the latest cartel market decorations, most notably the chairs. In particular, check out: Power Station Chair Census Desk Chair Security Bureau Desk Chair Security Chief Desk Chair To see the scale issue, get next to the chair and type the /chair emote. You'll see how you hover above the chair without actually sitting. Also, they're barely wide enough for a small woman to sit on. You can also compare them to existing chair sizes to see how they look quite small. The tables are also lower than normal, which makes me wonder if it's a scaling issue for the whole bundle, rather than just the chairs.
  11. It's a little tricky to get that result for the Imperial Agent through their storyline. There are several times in the story you have to pick just the right dialog option. I screwed it up the first time, so the "worked really hard for" was rolling a new character and going through the class story a second time, since the final decision to lock it in comes at the end.
  12. Same here -- Shrine of Silence decos but nothing else yet.
  13. This decoration gives off light on two sides, but the panels on the box that would give off this light are not glowing. The light seems to be coming from nowhere.
  14. How long has it been since we got a new appearance pack in the Cartel Market? It feels like we're about due...
  15. Visiting Moriha Vurdoko, I noticed the very awesome "Champion of the Avenger" character title that binds on equip, for 1 million credits. It looks active, but I already have it. It would be very helpful if it would grey out if it was already unlocked, to avoid buying it twice.
