  1. So been having a pain with the monitor resolution as my LEN-y44w-10 43.4-inch monitor was having issues. So as i found in a previous post that swtor uses the highest monitor resolution setting. So i opened the nvidia control panel enabled debug mode (might not have to) and added a resolution that was higher than the highest on the list. I hit customize on the resolution page and used this to find the next highest that worked. Fortunately the test worked as long as it was 32:10 not 32:9. You see it was sensing that the monitor could do 3840x2160 which is in the 4k / ultra hd. settings not native pc settings. swtor uses highest ratio to calculate the graphics (not us) scaling. so i added the custom resolution of 5120x1600. After that i deleted client_sttings.ini the game crashed but i edited the file and then set it to read only [Renderer] AntiAliasingLevel = 4 AtlasQuality = 0 Buckets = 5 D3DFullScreen = true DYDDrawDistancePreset = 2 EnableSSAO = true GraphicsDeviceId = 8578 GraphicsQuality = 5 Height = 1200 MeshLODQuality = 1 NativeHeight = 1200 NativeWidth = 3840 ShadowMapNumCascades = 8 ShadowMapResolution = 2048 SpeedTreeDistanceScale = 1.25 TextureAnisotropy = 16 Width = 3840 This worked... ENJOY!
  2. Maybe have a crystal pack that can drop any crystals that are not in packs available like white Or a weapon pack that can give things like the volatile conquerors saber... Also really there needs to be more saber effects..
  3. Actually i have offered up several ideas though out the thread. The credentials were not for the fellow players. It was for the BW team so maybe they take some one a bit serious.
  4. AOD was shutdown due to lack of funding. We were on a release time right after eq and before DAOC launch way way back then.

  6. and there lies the free market. gw2 is taking from swtor but building upon its core. I wish bw had that core mmorpg background. If they did this game would be the end all for quite some time.
  7. I think this may core down to the engine. The hero engine while quite flexible its not knows for its performance.
  8. Well said.. it may boil down to the point as the game was unfinished in some way when released. It just seems that the features we crave should have been in. Now that said i know there are design plans and such. but it seems those were quite static.
  9. excellent idea. what if we take it a step further and some what make it trickle down to other planets etc. Maybe even the number of planets held with in your realms affect the xp bonus given or even crafting and mission bonuses. Would make the players be on their toes etc.
  10. We could /bug or even feedback. It is inevitable that some posts will contaminate a good thread. All we can do is continue to discuss and bring up ideas.
  11. darn good point.. War was good on paper. Its hard to explain that to most. very wise sir, but if you had the paper what would you do?
  12. To quote myself... How if you were in charge of the game would you implement a dynamic world? would you have it where city's have stages and the quest players do to rebuild make the city stringer and maybe offer quests? etc. In a more general thing what would you do if you could be the dev for a day and make anything happen.
  13. Its a great idea... There are so many ways to do a dynamic world but it seems none.. and i say none have actually done it or done it well.
