  1. I think the game is just outdated. It's 10 years old and its had a long run but I don't see another 10 years. It's gotta evolve gameplay wise quite a lot
  2. I mean, what else can BW/EA actually do at this point? Obviously EA don't want to pump any more money into developing content for this game. But what exactly is going to bring in more players? More raids? More story content? The same stuff we've been getting most expansions? GSF was a breath of fresh air, but since then I've not seen anything particularly innovative. The game is 10 years old and could never be as big as WoW. The game needs to port to consoles and go the ESO route. Dumb down the abilities for classes and improve player movement. Create an amazing gameplay trailer showcasing the port. The game is a story based MMO. The story is already there. They just gotta change up the mechanics a bit.
  3. Man, I just wanna go back to the old days. Gear drops during raids and flashpoints. Why is this such a difficult concept to keep in the game? Why did they have to dumb the game down sooo much?
  4. Founder here. I wouldn't even call this an expansion. It is more of a story update (but of course we will have those people in denial who obsess over the definition of expansion). This was way overhyped and way underdelivered. It's not that difficult to just pour extra money into hiring developers and making content. The passion doesn't seem to be there any more. EA obivously don't see any financial future in this game, and it really does seem like it's on maintenance mode. The updates over the years have changed the game completely and looking back, I miss the old days. Like I said in another post somewhere, I logged in ONE DAY on this update and never logged back in. That's how bad it is for me. I feel the only future for this game is going to consoles, give us only a select few abilities like DA or ESO, get rid of armorings/enhancements, dumb it down enough for a controller. The game is story focused and you don't need a keyboard for story.
  5. It's an expansion. It expands the time for EA to make money from cartel whales before they turn off the servers for good.
  6. I'm in the exact same boat. Being a founder I've only managed to log in for a week or two sometimes in the past 3-4 years and go through the content. I didn't even log in the next day after checking out what's new with this one. My guess is the dev team is just a shell of it's former self. Plus this is a 10 year old game and resources are probably focued on going into money making content, such as the CM. The trailer, although nice, was just to get people hyped
  7. Completely agree with this. The information they gave on this info page is misleading. They should have just said it how it is instead of being so vague.
  8. You know what, they should just delete the forums because the majority are happy playing the game right? Who cares what a "minority" has to say?
  9. I've only come back after 2 years just to check it out, I don't think I'll be staying long though.
  10. I guess I was misinformed about that. But another thing, how do you "secretly" use dark side powers when being a member of the jedi order, when your dark side user class is labelled for everyone to see?
  11. Tell me how it's possible to be a Sith Inquisitor and wield two lightsabers, as they quoted on their website?
  12. Read this text from the Legacy of the Sith page on this website: As far as I know, right now it's just a class switch feature. I'm seeing Gunslingers and Shadows running around on the Imperial Fleet when I mouse over other players...so much for "secretly using Dark Side powers". I'm pretty sure it's the same on the Republic fleet too. This isn't an "even greater customization experience" as far as I know. When I switch combat styles, I'm unable to weild weapons and armor from my previous combat style, which is the impression I was getting. Like I said, this is just a plain old class switch feature. No..you can't be a Sith Inquisitor and have a lightsaber in each hand, because you have to switch to your Marauder class, and your character will be labelled as a Marauder, and all of your weapons and armor will be removed if you can't weild them. All you're doing is switching your class, and there's no mix and match. Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this update. I thought I'd have more freedom when it comes to weilding weapons from other classes, such as a Sith Juggernaut weilding two sabers. But no.
  13. Wow, I thought we could just mix and match the abilities from our combat styles, when instead its just a straight up class switch which is pretty underwhelming. I already have characters for other classes. Overall very disappointed with this update.
