  1. I had originally planned on playing this exact spec, but now I'm starting to feel like I might want to be able to do a bit more damage in warzones as well. As such, I've been playing with the idea of a hybrid Medicine/Lethality build that would generate TA points from heals and grant me a few more AoE's: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401rff0zbZhZGbbkrbhz.1 I'm still not sure whether or not Lethal Dose applies to heals, but if it does, you would also see more crits on your HoT with this build.
  2. I was planning on using that same build, but after learning that the speed increase was only while stealth, I might go with this instead: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401MffMzhRRdsZ0cZGb.1 I'm on the fence though. Increased stealth and stealth detection would still be nice. Luckily I don't have to make that decision for another 20 levels or so (and besides, you can always respec).
  3. So would you recommend something like this: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401MffMzhRRdsZ0cZhr.1 Personally I think I'd prefer to keep the stealth speed increase, but I can see ditching the dot damage. The enhanced corrosive dart was just a benefit of building up the the talents I felt were necessary.
  4. Appreciate the responses. Slip Away was my original choice for this build, but I was worried that I might be overlooking a good opportunity for energy regen. Does anyone have any other input on a solid PvP build for Operative Healers or any comments on my proposed spec?
  5. Initially I thought I would never use DS in PvP, so I avoided it, but as a free heal that regens energy, it could be quite useful, but I'm not sure if it's worth losing enhanced CC. Essentially what I want to know is, does Diagnostic Scan (talented or not) have any place in PvP, or are we much better off throwing the points into improving debilitate through Slip Away? Patient Studies (2/2) Diagnostic Scan criticals restore 2 energy. Prognosis:Critical (2/2) Increases the critical chance of Diagnostic Scan by 24%. --- vs. --- Deadly Directive (2/2) Increases alacrity by 4%. Slip Away (2/2) Reduces the cooldown of Debilitate by 15 seconds, and increases movement speed by 30% for 4 seconds after activating Debilitate. Also, for reference, here's the full spec I'm planning to use (with Slip Away): http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401rff0zhRRzZhIZGb.1
  6. While I'm waiting for me early access to pop up, I've been fiddling with Operative builds in hopes of finding something that resembles my Resto/Feral Druid from WoW. Now I know nothing's going to be a direct correlation, but ultimately what I'm striving for is some form of combat medic (focus on healing, good crowd control, and can output decent damage 1v1). I've yet to play SWToR at all, so the builds I'm proposing may fall flat in practice, but I wanted to present them here for discussion. Both of these builds are very similar, taking 25 points in medicine with the rest distributed across the other two trees to acquire either additional damage or enhance crowd control. The first enhances corrosive dart giving you a more powerful dot and improves debilatate. The idea would be to use your energy primarily for healing, while keeping a dot up on all active targets: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401rff0zhRRzZhcZGbbz.1 The second shifts points into stealth and various melee abilities such as backstab and shiv: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401rff0zhRRzZMIModZ0M.1 Both of these builds have their pros and cons, but I'd like to hear what other suggestions the community has for leveling and pvp-ing as an Operative Combat Medic. What talents would you deem necessary as a combat medic? How should points be distributed while leveling? Should you even level as a healer? Post your comments, suggestions, and Operative builds below for discussion.
