  1. How in the world do you assume that one measly patch will save subscription numbers? After patch 1.1 a lot of consumers lost faith in Bioware's quality control for their game.
  2. No, I don't pay for WoW clones. If I want to play WoW i'll just play WoW instead of a poor knock off version. inb4 Biodrones flame me due to thinking that voice acting makes a good game.
  3. Most people who complain about WoW being too easy have never attempted any of the Heroic modes of any tier. Hell, Blizzard releases data all the time about the percentage of players that actually down Heroic bosses. It's usually quite small (under 10%).
  4. Give me a break. A lot of servers are dying. It's highly unlikely he's lying. He has no reason to lie about a dying realm. He wants it fixed.
  5. See, this is why I don't think voice acting alone is something to write home about. I honestly think I find it impossible to compare Skyrim quests to SWTOR quests. The quests in Skyrim are well written, highly engaging, and made you want to progress. The voice acting in this game feels hamfisted and uninspired - its soul purpose is to facilitate the boring quests. It's absolutely soulless.
  6. You obviously haven't played the quests in both games. I'm not saying either are much fun, but if you deny that WoW quests are more varied than you're a blind biodrone. Also, why would you compare a newly launched MMO compared to an MMO launch seven years ago? You compare current competition to current competition, everything else is irrelevant. This game is on a rapid decline because it's a WoW clone that does a piss poor job of copying. The only reason why SWTOR was developed is due to WoW and the other plethora of MMOs trying to steal the slice of the WoW pie. Blizzard recognized a fairly vacant market with a lot of potential and capitalized on it.
  7. Biodrones deny this because it's "negative". A guy went out of his way to give a good snapshot of the state of the game population on a number of servers..... what has Bioware done or showed you? Nothing. Who the hell cares what Bioware will do anyways? They'll only announce anything that is a POSITIVE benefit to their personal reputation. Considering the numbers, releasing the population or subscriber count at the moment would be negative....hence you won't hear crap from them.
  8. Biodrones recipe for a good game: -Voice acting The quests in WoW are more varied, have better flow, and are within better zones (with better music). The quests in SWTOR are basically variations of two different quests with little difference between them and most are POINTLESSLY voice acted that add NOTHING to the experience. Each planet has 1-2 major light side/dark side quests where your choices MATTER. The other quests are just pointless side quests where an NPC spurts the same lines regardless of what you say. The main class quest story lines are uninspired and feel hamfisted to send you to each planet. They're pretty boring compared to the Mass Effect story line. Blizzard knows how to properly manage their games. SWTOR made me appreciate WoW and I could probably give reasons why all day.
  9. The stories felt hamfisted and weren't very well written or had very good flow. I'd take a story from Mass Effect 1/2 or Dragon Age 1 over SWTOR any day of the week.
  10. My server is hitting new lows week after week; RAPIDLY. The Crucible Pits had a good deal of WoW guilds head over here like Ruin and Dara Mactire. They've been quitting in droves and the population has taken a huge nose dive as a result. We were one of the fullest servers at launch; I really can't imagine what some other servers must be experiencing at this time due to low population.
  11. The Crucible Pits (PvP) population has been steadily decreasing week after week since patch 1.1 released and the free month ended. Both the Republic and Imperial sides have pretty pathetic population numbers during weekdays (even at prime time). Saturday and Sunday population is a little bit more acceptable, but the server still feels like its slowly dying. Mind you, this is one of the more heavily populated realms at launch. This game is not increasing sub number wise, it's decreasing - it's not hard to see this.
  12. Warhammer Online 2.0. There can only be one sub based hot key mmo. I'd rather pay for one that doesn't release PTR quality patches to the public. Unsub.
  13. I'm going to be honest with you, Bioware isn't going to help you whatsoever. I've been waiting a week and a half for tons of other loot problems and none have been addressed. All of it is a write off.
  14. Except these aren't issues anymore in WoW and haven't been for a very long time. We're comparing WoW as it stands to SWTOR as it stands.
