thanks for the reply! so just being subbed gives me all I need, thats just perfect! Well I got 2 lvl 50s who done the class, planet story and the side missions (not all of them obv) so Ive seen the story before, but after 3 years... well I remember stuff when I play them, but other things will look fresh as I probably forgot some stuff too. Levelling is my enemy as im not into rushing it, it was a big scare to see my character level so quickly (I was lvl 21 or so and I still had some gear on me from lvl 7-9. My companion was basically killing them all while me eating popcorn and press attackt next mob SO in that case its maybe best to not do sidemissions to keep more in sync with my character, altough that will probably cost me some nice gear ? It seems mobs hardly never drop anything orange gear that I can use for costume or add slots in, whats the fuss with that? Is it hidden in the planet story arc ? or in sidemissions? Or do i need to save and buy em from galactic market? Oke nice to hear from the SS that its going to happen after lvl 50 then and probably onwards aswell I hope... Anything btw about dumping companions if you have a relationship with them or "reloving" them at some point ?v

Greetings all, As title says I returned as I wanted to get back the swtor feeling, and after 3 years with all the new stuff etc, it was the right time. I started out a new fresh jedi knight character as it was the best thing to start all over again and relearn from the basics onwards. As a returned player you feel like a total noob obviously with all the new things going on, I got inventorys full of stuff etc... relearning what everything is again but got some questions and need some advise aswell so here it goes. - Im a CE owner who is currently subbed. What do I need to buy in order to play swtor beyond lvl 50 ? - I'm levelling fast by doing the classquest only and someone told me to do heroics on the side aswell to get gear. Is there a benefit of doing sidemissions or planet story arc again ? - I see on some planets i'm downscaled in level, since im outlevelled the place. if i do more then only the class quest as I describe in the question above will i be like lvl 65 before I even start on doing the expansions ? - and maybe the most ackward one ... are companions set to be same sex marriage ? It was a thing back in the early days, hows it now? thanks in advance! -Glad to be back-

I have to agree with the OP. I unsubbed solely for this upcoming "content" . Altough I dont dislike Fp's or Ops or Wz's it cant be the sole carrot on a stick to keep pple playing. basically im not looking to grind more tiers of gear by doing dailies and repetitive FP's just to gather better gear. If this by all means is content for the most then be my guest & have fun with it. I gave BW a sign by unsubbing & giving them my two cents about why i unsubbed. Ofcourse there are a lot of players who like this type of playstyle, i was like this aswell at one point, but with mmo's coming out the wazoo every year its not just worth the time to stick solely with 1 mmo to grind the hell out of it for some pixels. I rather move on to a new one then and play that for a year until they repetitive endgame content comes. I wish some mmo had the courage to step away from this concept (i know there are some, but not AAA ones) and bring something really refreshing. To me swtor brought the story & dialogues as refreshing part. all the rest was rechewed standard mmo gameplay like we had for over a decade now.

I have just unsubbed even my guild cant hold me here and they were the main reason i stayed here for the last month and a half. The minute i saw it became F2P it stopped for me. I know what content you will bring and I dont like it. It will be an endless content spawn of ops, FP's & WZ. and maybe 1 or 2 times a real story content update with a small level cap. I have been this road before with lotro and loggin in just to do skirmishes, instances , raids etc.. for this set of gear or that set of weapons or better this & that cant make me eager to login. Now we have Blackhole gear, well after F2P comes with new FP's we will have SuperBlackhole gear, and after that it will be SuperbBlackerholer Gear and so on... . you know it will be like this, an endless grind of this wich is nothing more then pixel-on-a-stick playstyle. I started playing GW2 now and what i see they have done there it gives me the shivers why with the biggest budget we couldnt have something like that in SWTOR. I honestly have no idea why the most basic stuff cant be ingame. I have to say I enjoyed this game much at start, i have 2 lvl 50s & 2 lower level atls round the 30s and the story was nice to have altough my decisions were nothing more then psychologically, it didnt effect the future game or anything wich is a certain miss. The worlds feel very death aswell, altough i kinda like the style & sky of certain planets, it still feels like im more watching a picture where i run in then a real alive world. Will I come back when its F2P? I doubt it tbh, I will keep track of the future developments but its more a way to see for me that i will be right about leaving then about me thinking coming back. for the rest I hope the remainers of this game have fun with their Fp's & WZ's but for me : been there, done that. no pixel grind anymore for me, not without a real reason behind it. Hopefully next STAR WARS game will be a sandbox one. No more on rails as it kinda gets old quickly.

yes to more sanbox !!! But please ... does anyone stand for no reason in the innercircle in the fleet, buying a drink ? 99.9999 % doesnt !! Would you be there if you could go to a chair & press /sitchair ?? 99.999 % WOULDNT ! im all up with the OP , but plz dont think using the /sitchair emote is saving the game and a reason why people are unsubbing lol. I hope they give you that chairemote at some point, but this minority (a minority does still sound to big) is still a minority. who cares about sitting on a chair really. just go on the chair and press X, you will have more fun trying to site accurately on the chair by trying to stand on it and pressing X then do the actual emote... really.

hmm i dont agree with that, as i still love mmo's, but if after 15 years the mainstream MMo's can only deliver that kind of endgame, then thats a bit cheap dont ya think? I like this mmo a lot, i just hope(d) that swtor would give something innovative there, but i guess it wont. Im loving sandbox mmo's a lot but atm im waiting for : Darkfall 2 & ArcheAge Online. I even preordered Guild wars 2 and it felt fresh so far i tried it. I love this game and dont want to leave it, but all the effort in bringing more fps & such can be spend on something else imho. something that is not been done for the 100th time. I dont think people get bored of stuff to do, they just get bored by doing the same repetitive tasks as they log in just to keep up their pixels. we are not mice on a wheelercoaster ;-) at least i dont want to be

im a bit worried that they consider adding FP & OPS & WZ as content tbh... Dont get me wrong, it is in a way content, but still its gonna be huge repetitive to do so. oke its fun to do Lost island for some time to get some black hole coms or that rakata chest piece for an alt but after that ? continue it for fun? at the moment we are at Black hole gear & War hero gear. new Fp's & ops come ... now we have Blacker Holes Gear & World War hero gear. 3 months later new FP's, Ops & WZ come ... then we have Blackest holer Gear & World War II Gear. and so on & on. Then , lets add 5 levels to the cap so all this gear becomes obsolete & bring in some new FP's , OPS & WZ to bring a complete new gear set, maybe with 2 extra augments to give players that extra modification (aka "freedom") You get my drift i hope... It was fun maybe when i was younger or this was my first mmo & i wouldnt know better. Its the pixel on a stick carrot that will keep players hanging for months or even years, but i think ill pass on that. Same reason Why i quitted lotro was due to that, so many instances & skirmishes & dailies and it kept coming , to me its then just an arcade game where people log in and grind for pixels, nothing more, nothing less. Any thoughts ?

that is entirely true ... people can "vote" with their wallet and support/buy innovating mmo's that comes out, but no, they choose the familiar or easy way of mmo's with the big masses of people, but then want to make it different somehow or more sandboxy when they are bored. (dont forget, these people already knew from the start what type of mmo this would be) Dont neglect also the popular factor. No matter what age, people try to be with the large group of people that like something. Playing an mmo like Darkfall online wich has only like 5000 subs is not done since yeah, if theres only 5000 people playing it , it cant be good! WoW has 10 mill subs and therefor it must be good! But the new generation of players now only know about WoW by older people. they know the game is already here for a long time & that millions people play it, thus, all those people cant be wrong. WoW is a first step for most to the genre as its somehow familiar for them already, even if they dont know the Warcraft franchise at all. You can never beat WoW because of these things. Why do I like this favorit football club? cause my dad & grandpa were big fans of it and took me there. Why do I like certain 80s music and not other ones? cause my parents played it as i was a child, and so on ... People think they have made their own choice, altough its mostly already stored in your subconscience, ready to be revealed & chosen by you as your own choice... you think.

it doesnt annoys me, so speak for yourself. i recruit for months now and i maybe had 1 guy saying in chat stop the recruitment!!! and that was it. not all is as sour minded. If that annoys a person then i dont want to imagine what annoys him in life then.

I typed 3 recruitment messages in a notepad wich is stored on my desktop. whatever recruit i want to type in chat, i just alt+tab to windows, open the notepad and copy the text there and paste in the chat!
