Unfortunatley I really don't like this game,such a shame as I planned on playing this game for years because it's star wars but after 1 1/2 mnths I was bored,my sub runs out any min now so I guess it's goodbye to swtor, hopefully given time the game will improve greatly become far less linear,far less wow and get a personality of its own rather than a poor copy with a single player story line. If it improves greatly I may well return, like I said its star wars so I do want to play.

I'm sure it will seems to have chosen to follow the same model as wow and rift,I guess all we can do is wait and see.

Exactly, maybe I didn't word things as well as I could have. Yes gear has always mattered but not at the rate that mmos do now, skill played a far bigger role.Now all you need is the newest tier and it's more or less a done deal.

Iv been playing this genre for 10+yrs and maybe it no longer is for me because the modern mmo player has really lost touch with the real idea of mmorpg, gear plays a part yes but it's only since wow that it's become the be all instead of part of it.

And with the current system people aren't clones? Swtor a prime example all the pvpers look the same,all the raid gear looks the same,wow is the same everyone ends up after a short amount of time the same.There is nothing unique about the current system.

Disagree people have been programmed to view mmos this way,there are far more ways to make mmos fun, this is why mmos are becoming so stale no one thinks outside the box.

The day an mmo does this and all the hard work is just about the look of gear etc I will have found the mmo for me.The biggest spoiler for me with most mmos is the damn gear grind I just wish developers would focus on other aspects like fun even pvp,fun even world pvp,interesting environments,cool looking outfits,etc. stats and gear just make pvp about gear not skill and pve about the dull boring carrot on a stick grind.

Like many have said,many took longer subs than just 1 mnth,I personally really enjoyed the game for the first month till I hit the mid 40s,then by 50 I was bored as hell. I'm now just getting my money's worth on the forums till my sub runs out in 2 days.

The actual launch of swtor was actually quite good compared to most, it's not the launch that's the problem it's the whole game design that's bad. Unfortunatley I'm not even sure if time can even fix this.

Your actually talking about the trash that helped make wow a complete rubbish peace of trash,so I hope Bioware don't follow this or it truely is over.

No everyone has left,the fanbois are still here but unfortunatley the big list of faults will mean that it won't be long before this game joins the ranks of the wow wantabees like warhammer and rift.
