It's part of the game. I came here asking a question about part of the game. It also affects a pretty important character in the Trooper storyline. All I'm asking is whether or not we can obtain that mission item, even if we've already received the letter - I'd like to be able to see that portion of the story. Am I wrong for doing so? Is it wrong for me to have different tastes than you?

From the 1.2 PTR: Does this mean we'll finally get a mission from that letter? What if we've already passed that point?

Honestly, without solid numbers, you can't say much of anything. First of all, yes, of course people are quitting. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out - some people have tried the game, and decided it is not for them. Two, you can't dismiss the "its no longer holidays" thing. This is a HUGE issue. People aren't logging on as much, because they don't have as much time - this also means they won't be logging on EVERY day or however they were back during vacation hours. Ergo, you'll be seeing them on less and less. Third... whats your point with the thread anyways? You're worried about it? Don't. This is standard with every launch of a MMO. Yes, this COULD be more severe than normal - but we won't really know until we get actual, solid numbers. We probably won't see anything like that until a few months from now. There could be any number of reasons for people leaving the game right now, and there is no way to indicate if they are truly done. These threads aren't really useful, because it is all just speculation without any kind of factual basis besides "It went from Heavy -> Standard!!!!" Do you even know what the difference between the two is, besides just "well, it means less"?

I'm pretty sure they've made it very clear that they know Dual-Spec is something players want, and they have been looking into implementing something to deal with the situation. This was through Stephen Reid and what not. And just because the tech is already there, but not yet implemented, does not logically leap to "they have no plans to implement it". There could be any number of reasons for them holding it back. Correlation does not imply causation.

As underwhelming as the current end game gear is, I have to say all of the Empire end game stuff definitely looks more appealing to my eyes than the Republics.

Are you upset there aren't any rewards yet, or that you'll have some super advantage when they come out, or both? Though it doesn't really matter - For all intents and purposes, the Legacy system isn't even implemented, except for allowing you to gain levels in it for when it comes out. I'm fairly certain they acknowledged this ahead of time, so there should be no surprise here. Second, it isn't like you are the only one who will have Legacy experience - and whats more, we have no idea what kind of rewards they are offering and how many they are. Cosmetic or not, they may cap where the rewards end, and slowly add more or something.

I don't get this at all. I'm level 39, and I've done every flashpoint that I can once, along with practically every quest on the planets (and most definitely all of the Heroic quests). While I've found lots of oranges, I haven't nearly found enough to cover all slots. Additionally, the things I can craft are almost always better than what I am wearing - especially the blue and purples, which last me for a multitude of levels.

It is a reasonable compromise between people like you, who argue that one spec is fine, and people who want more than one option for their characters. 2 is a solid amount that allows variability and options within a single character, while not allowing them to cover every base there is. As always, respeccing is an option, so if a person really wants to, then technically they can fulfill every role that their AC allows them to. Slippery slope arguments are so pointless - they hardly argue the issue at hand.

But... what if cookie-cutter 31 pointers are more fun than hybrid builds? Why are hybrid builds arbitrarily superior to you? Just because they don't go with the norm? I'm all for choice and I think including dual-spec opens up MANY more options than keeping it out, just for the sake of hybrid specs.

People have different tastes than you, and it is just "dumb"? There is a reason for its success, and it is hardly the Justin Bieber of gaming.
