  1. Update: Tank no longer needed. rDPS can still apply.
  2. Forge is current 4/5 ToS HM and 3/5 Rav HM. We are recruiting for a rDPS or Tank for our main raiding group. We raid Thu/Sun from 8:30 to 11:30EST. Recruits must have completed all SM content at a minimum and preferably some HM content. We expect rDPS to be able to pull 3500-4000 DPS in raids. For tanks we prefer Assassin or PT. To apply PM Enaek and Spicy-J in game and show up Thu/Sun for a try out!
  3. Do you know if the sorc bubble coefficients have changed in 3.0 bc if they are the same our new stats would put it at 6k protection in a mix of 186/192. Btw I agree with everything you said about stats and bubbles. I came to the same conclusions. Power augments are slightly above willpower but the benefit is minor.
  4. Thanks for the thread. NiM corrupted zero is a great example as in my opinion is was the most sorc friendly fight in the previous content. Those new numbers are crazy. I can't believe the merc pulled that high. Ill be curious to see how the heal check fights in 3.0 turn out because with that big a spread it will make some combinations impossible or merc, merc too easy. Hopefully torparse comes up to speed soon. Personally I've only ran the content a few times with a good merc healer. We are both adjusting still but atm he is usually 10-20% ahead of me of some fights and on a few we r even.
  5. This is a repeat thread from Class Thread, but I wasn't sure where to put it respond to Dev's so I put it in both places. Quote from Dev's Post "Now here are some questions for the Sage/Sorcerer community, regarding Noble Sacrifice/Consumption. Do you believe removing the health cost of Noble Sacrifice/Consumption as a PvP set bonus would be something that PvE Sage/Sorcerer healers also feel like they need, or are PvE Sage/Sorcerers happier with their current set bonuses? If it is something that PvE Sages/Sorcerers would rather have as well, then which current PvE set bonus would you want to give up for it? Do you think that having a health-cost-free Noble Sacrifice/Consumption would be too good for PvE? Do you believe it might take away too much of the challenge for healing in PvE situations?" Background I've been sorc healing since the game came out and primarily do NiM stuff and fill the rest of my time with PvP. I tend to be competitive. What Removing Consumption Would Do If you look at the average number of deaths per fight in PvP you'll probably find consumption isn't needed in most intense fights b/c most people die every few minutes (especially ranked). If you find yourself needing to consume in a PvP fight then you're probably on the winning side already or it's a healing stalemate. It would really benefit PvE more. Removing the health cost helps less experienced sorcs or sorcs who have trouble managing their force pool but mostly in PvE (if they use PvP gear). Either way this will not help the sorcs in the top 1/3 of the class, as it's still the same number of GCDs per fight. In my opinion I think of sorcs as a skill class currently... but without the benefit of have top tier heal output. We take more damage than others but have sprint/barrier to use at our discretion. We need to consume to gain force, but have a large free self heal and AOE abilities to stand in. My suggestion is to be to give us a proc that would give us a crit, free heal, or remove a cast timer but that you would have to watch for to take advantage of. This would give the class a buff w/o making it too easy to play. For example the use of consumption could have a 1 in 2 chance of proc'ing allowing instant Dark Infusion. That would benefit for PvP and PvE, but is quite a small buff for PvP as consumption is used less. If you want to specifically address PvP numbers/survivability specifically I'd change one of the set bonuses to reduce the cooldown timer/cost on static barrier. Thanks for asking for feedback and hope this prompts a few ideas.

  7. Agreed. Also... the numbers I was quoting were all EHPS.
  8. I think at this point into 2.0 we know the answer to this. Top PvP Ops healers max out at around 2.7K HPS in PvP where Sorcs are around 2.1K HPS. This takes into account bubbles so it's comparable. Top PvE healers are being blown away by Ops healer as people are re-rolling/leveling their Ops. Sorcs used to dominate Torparse, but they are being slowly drown out by Ops. The top 50 healers for HM/NiM content are now almost exclusively Ops and it's not because of skill. :-) The top HPS sorc on dread council is 3K heals (#2) where the LOWEST op healer on that same fight has 3500 HPS. Now... tor parse doesn't take into account bubbles, so that makes the difference seem even larger, but the proof is all up in that pudding. The most unfortunate part is that Ops healer not only do more, but they can simply HOT the part and put the AOE on the tank and blow all other classes away. It'd be nice if they had to at least work a bit harder. Previous posts mentioned the big buffs sorcs got in 2.0... i completely agree. It just doesn't match the bigger buffs Ops got. I suppose we had our days in the sun. Now it's their turn.
  9. Question for those who've beat it or researched it. Have any groups out there beaten dread council NiM with 2 sorc healers in 72 gear? If so a link or parse would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. I suppose it's better than nothing, but Moxparser doesn't allow any comparison beyond your own group, right? No ranked logs, no way to look at other people's rotation.
  11. Hey Guys, I am an end-game raider and used to use Askmrrobot and now use Torparse. Askmrrobot is gone and Torparse is a week or two from abandoned as well. Are there other group parsers out there? I get a lot of enjoyment from comparing logs and learning from other players. Will group parsers die with Torparse or be limited to PvP? Thanks.
  12. 1.471MM heals in Void Star. 1618HPS
